I am enjoying the app overall. Right now I am focusing on Spanish, but I love that I have other options. The platform is upbeat and very interactive. I can even set a reminder for my daily lesson. I... See more

I really liked a lot more of this app than I expected! AI is used and apart of it but it isn't EVERYTHING! And they seem to still train their AI well anyway to be honest. I love the videos as well as the variety of exercises that were available to me. Doing texting conversations that also tested you through other means was very helpful!
Now I did have to pause paying for this app because of financial obligations. This was after already having done a year on Jumpspeak. I made sure to cancel my subscription before it would renew within a couple months. Cut to the renewal date and my subscription still renewed! I was concerned and emailed support telling them of the situation. They responded within a day and after providing them the little evidence I managed to keep (thankfully) I was given a refund.
Overall warm and definitely a company that seems to care enough to have not only a good app but it seems also good customer service! And we know how hard that can be to find now a days! Thank you, Jumpspeak, I hope to come back to using you at another time.
Even though, in the end. I stopped my subscription, I can recommend Jumpspeak for it's customer support.
I canceled as my 70 year old self found this online learning model not the best for my style of learning.
I think it id a very profesional app and has good prices. It really makes you speak!
I had cancel the auto renewal and I was late by one day. I wrote to the customer service team and they were understanding and very supportive.
The response time was excellent too. Good communication.
A little difficulty in logging in

The pace is perfect and the modules are just the right size!
I was signed up with jumpstart to learn Korean. However, I found it difficult to find the time to really concentrate on learning the language thoroughly. So I had to annul my subscription. Jumpstart was kind enough to go through the process of giving my refund. Thank you for that jumpstart. They have an excellent support group to help you with every need.
Tried Jumpspeak for language learning, I didn’t like the particular format they were using but when I told them that they refunded my money.
Originally charged $249 for a lifetime when I actually signed up for a year for $69. It wasn’t easy to contact Jumpspeak to get a refund but I eventually did and was offered a free month and IF I chose to continue, it would be $9,99 a month. I said yes to the free month, however, I never used it as I found a much better and more trustworthy app. For 4 months, I was charged $9.99 despite me disputing and cancelling. Multiple emails later, many which were duplicates, they claimed I failed to notify them in writing that I didn’t wish to continue but I informed them that it was not made clear in the email at all. Then they offered to refund one month if I would withdraw the dispute I filed with my credit card. They clearly hide behind an email, no customer service number

Duolingo is very popular and they encourage you to try to score points and you’ll probably learn in the process. Jumpspeak gently encourages you to actually put sentences together to respond to various real life situations. This is where it gets challenging. It also critiques your pronunciation which Duolingo does not do. Jumpspeak will enable you to have conversations in real time faster than Duolingo. Therefore it’s the better package to learn with.
I recommend it heartily. To be fair, I have found that Duolingo has enabled me to read Russian text with some success after many years!
There is not a cookie cutter way to learning, we all learn differently. Jumpspeak provides several modalities to teach the content.
As this was a gift for someone else I can’t really rate the APP itself but I do want to rate the outstanding customer service. They were quick and helpful and responded to my request for my money back from an automatic renewal with ease (which I wasn’t expecting).
Great program simple. Easy. Really life usage. Love it
My mother languague is Czech and my actual level of Spanish is a bit higher than the one of English. If Jumspeak offers me English translation of a new word, mostly it doesn´t help me. I need to learn Spanish WITHOUT English and separate these two languagues in my head.

I requested a refund under their 100 days back guarantee.
I have no received a single response despite numerous emails to their support team and following their instructions on their website.

I like that you can set the time you can commit to learning. The pronunciation guide is very helpful

Absolutely abysmal experience. The customer service is appalling, offering only AI-generated, anonymous responses that feel like automated template replies. They will take money from your account without any communication or warning. I believed I had cancelled my account in-app last year, yet they still took payment without my consent. I have had no communication from the company since August.
When I requested a refund and explained the situation, including that I had not used the app and did not intend to use it during the billing period I was charged for, I received a generic response from an anonymous account stating that they do not refund subscription charges.
I only used the app for a couple of weeks after downloading it last year, and even then it was extremely temperamental and glitchy. I did not find that it benefited my language learning at all.
Whatever you do, do not sign up for their “free” trial or subscription. If you cancel in-app, make sure you take a screenshot in case they attempt to take money without your permission.
Absolutely avoid this app at all costs.

This isn't the 'easy way to learn a language' as they portray. Unless you have a very good understanding of the language you want to learn already, you will find it hard. Too many glitches, poor word/sound recognition, even to the point of repeating a sentence, getting halfway through, and being told I've got it correct. Haven't even been able to find anywhere to show/tell you how to pronounce the alphabet. I'm now two months in, and wishing I hadn't bothered.

It's a great app with a variety of different learning methods, including speaking and having a conversation. It is also good that you don't have to follow a linear route through lessons, but can dip in and out as required. However, after about 10 days of the 100 day free trial I noticed I had been charged £269. I queried this, and it was told it was for a live tutoring service that was automatically added to the free trial account I subcribed to, but had to be cancelled in 7 days. I was unaware of this until I saw the charge. Jumpspeak have refunded me, but the experience has put me off. It's a real pity because I think it is a good resource. I have suggested they make any automatically applied subscriptions much clearer, or even remove them.

I’m a true believer in auditory language learning. It emulates how we acquire languages as children—naturally. This is why I signed up to Jumpspeak. However, paramount to that concept is a visual representation of the object or concept to be learned. Without a picture the concept of auditory language acquisition fails. Reading the foreign language or characters is impossible and remains guesswork at best and only if there is some familiarity with the language.
