A reliable way to rent a short-term furnished apt with some things to know

June homes made it relatively easy to rent a short-term furnished apartment. It's good for someone who is moving to a new city to get a place without the guess work of organizing something with roommates or sublets. I had a good experience overall, however, there are a few things to be aware of:
- I rented a furnished room, but it was unfurnished on my move in day. I called the customer service number since it was late at night, and managed to talk to a local rep, but had to wait several hours for him to speak to his manager. They gave me a small fixed amount for a hotel room for a couple nights before they could furnish my room.
- The details about the place on their website is not exactly accurate to the real location, not in catastrophic ways, but for example the dumpsters for the buildings were not located where their website or custom service rep said. The images of the rooms are renderings, rather than actual photos.
- But overall, the customer service system was responsive and helpful, so if I had to look for a short term furnished place again I would still consider using June.

For starters I had great roommates not…

For starters I had great roommates not one thing of mines went missing and so I’m glad about that but honestly I felt as though the prices was way too high I wasn’t really at the apartment and I had to over spend because of my roommate’s use of gas and electricity, it started a bit rough because the room I originally wanted was given away but the fact that I stayed in Harlem was nice and I ended up really liking the room thank you June homes

Sublet Review

I rented a room through June Homes for four months and it was great! The apartment was clean and it was easy to make payments and move in and out. I got along well with my roommates and never had an issues with them using my things. If I had any issues with the apartment I could submit a ticket through there app and they would get back to me in a timely manner. June Homes makes subletting easy, I would definitely recommend.

Avoid if possible

Like many others I’ve had a terrible experience with this company. On my first day, I was greeted with a flood and standing water in a light fixture in the living space. No notice from them whatsoever even though my roommate reported it prior to my arrival. When I complained they said floods happen when it rains and refused to offer reasonable compensation by blaming the building management even though you really only have to do with June Homes, not the building management.

Only use as a very last resort and be on your guard. They try to nickel and dime you at every turn and only do the bare minimum, if you can call it that.

Lived with June Homes twice

This is my second time living with June Homes after 4 years away. What I like about June is they are very responsive and open to suggestions on how to improve your living. I needed some adjustments for both my rooms, and we found middle ground. Pricing is great for a big city, and I like that there's a screening process for roommates, so you can be confident in who you're living with. The houses are generally well-maintained, though not brand new, which is thankfully reflected by the price, so it's ok. Thank you June!

Dishonest customer service

The customer service team was unhelpful and dishonest. The process was not transparent at all and they pressure you to sign quickly. The lease agreement is also very anti-tenant, so you have to be careful.

Great experience!

Our experience with June Homes was great! It was just what we needed for a furnished, short term lease. Great Living Experience

The apartment is fully furnished with all essential amenities, making it very comfortable and convenient to live in. The overall living experience was pleasant and well-maintained.

I had an easy and reliable experience with June Homes! They were responsive and helpful with any situations that me or my roommates endured. Even in extending my lease, June Homes offered additional discounts and cost savings as an existing tenant. The only negative experience I had was more so on the building/landlord side, and June Homes coordinated with them. However, I believe there could of been more effort in ensuring the landlord was following through on their responsibilities. Outside of that, I would recommend June homes to friends.

Smooth and Convenient Experience with June Homes

When I had to live overseas in Massachusetts for 5 months, I was worried that securing accommodation would be very difficult. Fortunately, I chanced upon June Homes. The agent they connected me with was efficient in narrowing down possible accommodation choices based on my requirements and preferences. This made finding accommodation a very simple process. My location was also very convenient as it was within walking distance to my workplace, the MBTA, a supermarket, a shopping center and multiple restaurants. During my stay, I was also pleased with the cleaning service and trash collection. June Homes is also quick to respond to emails and timely with sending rent payment notices or other updates. The only nitpick I had is that it can get hot during summer and my apartment does not seem well-equipped to handle the heat.
