I have been a happy Linux user since Windows ME trashed all my work files, just as I was loading a backup tape. Recently, I have been running a couple of Windows 10 machines. Now, I felt rather uncomfortable doing this, and wanted a belt, braces, a safety net, and a parachute, and went looking for reviews of registry cleaners. The review that caught my attention said that registry cleaners were a dangerous waste of time, and money, far more likely to do harm than good. Don’t touch them! Unless, of course, you get a copy of jv16 PowerTools! Naturally, intrigued, I went straight to the Macecraft website, and found that I could download a fully functional free trial copy. Great. Well, it took only a couple of days to realise that PowerTools not only worked; it was essential.

Let me digress: Windows is the only operating system I have come across that self-destructs over time. Windows needs constant maintenance, and knowledgeable attention. Updates are an example, and justifiably notorious. You perform all those little rituals that ensure fertility, a good harvest, and good hunting, then you press the Download and Install button. Let us pray. Then, nothing happens - for hours. You could practically go on holiday. Finally, long after you’ve lost patience and gone off to do something else, and, if your luck holds, your machine reboots into Windows. But, Microsoft doesn’t seem at all concerned about the swarf, and oily rags they’ve left behind. Everything may seem fine, for a while, but then you start to have all sorts of interesting problems. Or, would do if you were unlucky enough not to be running jv16 PowerTools, With a single click, you can almost make Microsoft vanish. Your PC is yours again, and running clean and smooth.

It would be an understatement to say PowerTools is impressive. It is fast, and it does exactly what it says it will. And, for those that want them more tools are being added. If there’s a problem Stefan Calin in Customer Service will respond immediately with courteous help, and advice, and if that doesn’t work you can bet there will shortly be an update that fixes the problem. I cannot think of any similar software that fulfils it’s promise so reliably. The good people at Macecraft work really hard.

Give jv16PowerTools a try. You have nothing to lose, and I think you will be delighted with the result.

I am 80 years old and have more computer than I am capable of handling thanks to a wonderful grandson. I live in fear of the bad guys on the Internet, "Thieves & Crooks." You know the type.

I have been using three different computer "CLEANERS" to maintain my computer and keep it running smooth. Now however, this program does it all. That makes it very easy for me and I feel confident that my machine is in good shape.

I had reason to contact "Support Service" and I was shocked with the almost immediate and helpful response from them. "Thanks a lot!" Thank you for the product & the service. I have a lifetime license which means the service department will probably be taking care of me for a while. [Ha]

I will never do this again, rest assured.

I've used jv16 PowerTools for about 17 years, ever since I discovered it through Fred Langa. I haven't ever needed to use another programme for cleaning up my computer and making sure it's all running smoothly. I love how they've pared it down to basic tools because even though all the original tools were excellent, I found I didn't need to use them much as computers improved over the years. Still, I bought the lifetime license 3 times over the years, just for the cleaner, uninstaller and optimiser and have never needed to use another programme. That's how much I trust jv16 PowerTools. Also a winning angle for me is the customer service. They are personable, friendly and respond promptly to any queries with a friendly courtesy that is sadly lacking in today's society.

Been a Macecraft subscriber for a number of years and I love the access and information given me by this app.

Over the years it has focused and sped up and provides good data about what is working and superfluous in my system.

Backup can be automatic and choices you can exercise make it foolproof to use.

A great tool to keep your system tightend up.

New user to JV16. Couldn't pass up the lifetime support for $30. Got the first update, installed it but for some reason my lifetime license wouldn't take effect. So turned in a problem report and got a quick reply. Long story short, I didn't read the instructions as closely as I thought I did. You have to select one of the Newsletter settings. Once I did, I was all set. Lessoned learned. Loved the quick response. Love the tool.

I am a recent purchaser of JV16 Power Tools. I had heard about it through a computer e-newsletter so I decided to try it. I liked it so well that I decided to buy a 1-year license. After using it for a week or so, I then decided it worked so wonderful on my computer and my wife's that I would buy the Lifetime license. I e-mailed Support and immediately within one day had a response back telling me to buy the Lifetime license and they would refund the amount I paid for the 1-year license. After doing this I had trouble upgrading my 1 year to a Lifetime license. I e-mailed Support and also the Customer Support individual I originally heard back from about upgrading the license to a Lifetime. Well, in the meantime I found the information about the upgrade which was in my Spam folder and followed the instructions, and lo and behold it upgraded. I left out a step. Anyway, to make a long story short, I am getting my original 1-year license payment back and my software upgraded to Lifetime. This was all done in a matter of a couple of days. I can't state how wonderful, competent, kind, and professional the Customer Support Representative Stefan was helping me out. I am looking forward to using this software and the two additional tools they are adding. What a fantastic company this is!!

I've used JV16 Power Tools for years and years and never had an issue with crashes, lost data etc.
Their customer support has always been responsive as well.

Have been using JV16 for many years. Their product keeps getting better & better. I recommend JV16 to every computer owner. Support service is second to none.

I have used this since it first came out and today's version is 10 times better than the first release and the first release was very good. Every time there has been a bug I reported, I have received a response within 24 hours and within a week or so they would release a bug release version. Great Company! Fantastic customer service!

My problem was a licensing issue. My current version of JV16 stopped updating eight or 9 years ago but, because the version did everything I needed the I didn't bother to follow up until this year. I gave JV16 my license info and was told the licence had expired. Which I could well believe except I had purchased a life update license. Despite their best efforts JV16 could not find that license. I gave up and gave jv16 a review. However JV16 had not given up. Using my review email name and email address JV determined that I did indeed have a life license but I had initially given JV16the wrong user name and an old email address. So now I have a current version of JV16 PowerTools and my life license. Thanks for going that extra distance. Much appreciated. Good friends are hard to find.

I have been a user of the Macecraft product line since June, 2014 - lived through the extended delays for the upgrade to the new jv16 Power Tools - and stuck with it. Yes, I poked and prodded competitors but always returned to jv16. Across the years I have purchased 17 licenses to utilize or share with friends as gifts. The product is constantly improving and I, for a 76 year old technocrate, appreciate the simple but very powerful interface and Macecrafts's intense desire to to be the leader in a very competitive market. Give the product a test drive - you will appreciated its speed, benefits, and completeness.

I am a lifetime subscriber. I have moved, changed systems and many reinstalls on my system and always they have made sure my software is up to date and active. Being an old guy sometimes these updates or fancy changes drive me crazy while I try to learn them. When ever I have gone to them for information or support the replies are always great. I would recommend these guys anytime and other companies could learn from them how to do customer service.

I've been using the Macecraft jv16 PowerTools for a number of years and I'm quite satisfied with its performance as well as the performance of the support staff. On occasion when I've needed support they were right on it and did their best to solve my problem expeditiosly. The latest release is top notch and gets the job done quickly and thoroughly. The tool is easy to use and the lifetime license is a good deal for anyone who purchases this software.

I have installed jv16PT 5.5.0.697 on three computers running Windows7 and Windows 10, and I find no problems with it. The interface is also very "user friendly". On another PC, running Xp, I use the old faithful JvTP 4.2.0.2009: the user interface is rather cumbersome, but the program runs as expected.

I've used JV16 for going on 20 years.
Macecraft holds to a standard of excellence, quality, and service, against which most other software is found to be lacking.

This software "jv16Powertools" from macecraft, that i use since 20 years, is the Reg Editor, Cleaner and Windows Tweaker i have found.
The support is friendly, and the price is just O.K.

Adding to the review below - The LAtest update does not even Launch - It is impossible to run a log file and they do not refund life time licenses once the programme does not launch - Highly Highly illegal to sell a lifetime licence and iyt does not work

DO NOT BUY

Absolute Rubbish - Fails to run through anything locks up on Internet optimizer
It is really bad and customer service is so awful it is untrue - they ask you to make deep changes to your system that you as an average user have just forked out money for JV16 to do which of course it doesn't do - it freezes
They keep updating it and get it more wrong each time

For many many years I have been using JV16Powertools and must say I am very happy and still using it. It speeds up my pc in no time and the support from the company is great. I can only recommend it.

Facing problems when updating Jv16PowerTools, I mailed my request to Macecraft - mentionning my lifetime license. A quick answer helped me to sort out my difficulties. With my gratitude.

I have used jv16 Power Tools for several years and find that when one of my computers seems to lag, running jv16 is just the ticket. The newest edition simplifies the process and is faster. I have and will recommend the tools to family and friends.
