Charged, never shipped

They charged me for my subscription, but never shipped the order. Over two weeks later, I followed up I got some vague “needs further approval” B.S. It would be one thing if they hadn’t charged me, but they took my money and are failing to provide a product.

I am a gold customer and used Black…

I am a gold customer and used Black Friday deal to ship to exact same address using the exact same credit card that was used in past and after about a month of delay and so many phone and chat follow up, I got an email that order is cancelled with no explanation. Upon calling, they told me that some fraud or new system was implemented and they have no info and orders were rejected during review. I asked if I could place another order with same Black Friday deal but was denied. Several Emails to customer support got no response as well. They also charge credit card in advance and due to all this I also missed other Black Friday deals from competitors.

Such a poor and bad experience for someone who referred several customers.

It is false advertisement for Black Friday and it seems they are just using excuses to deny the deal somehow.

***ZERO STARS*** Horrible customer…

***ZERO STARS*** Horrible customer service. Three bags have sat in limbo and not shipped or even processed for two weeks. I called their so-called customer service and was told both times that the order would be processed and they would expedite the shipping. This never happened. I called the third time and requested to speak to a supervisor about the status of my order. I was told an escalation ticket would be opened and they would call back. I explained the issue and was told that the requests for my two orders STILL had not been processed. These would have been my 4th and 5th orders. Customer service will not let you speak to a supervisor nor will they call you back. The product is terribly overpriced and not worth the poor service. I ended up canceling and went with another company. There are similar products out there with better service.

Kachava was my favorite until I got in…

Kachava was my favorite until I got in touch with the customer service and the customer service is horrible with kachava they couldn't even make an exception for me on the fact that I returned the item unopened in the package to the UPS office and since it wasn't opened the clerk there said all that needed to be done was to write on the package return to sender since it wasn't opened. Well apparently the lady at Kachava told me that that was the wrong thing that I did and that she couldn't track my package back to their office so basically I'm out $65 for a bag of protein powder and they can't do anything for me or give me another bag or my money back which is what they should have done. She flat out told me they can't help me and she didn't go out of her way to help me either and I think it's ridiculous because I've spent thousands of dollars with these people and they couldn't make an exception and just credit my account for the fact that it's not my fault that they can't track my package they should be able to since they're the ones who shipped my package out to begin with so it makes no sense in my opinion. I just think they are money hungry and they will not go out of their way to help you it's all about money with them so avoid this company at all costs! They will definitely rip you off and do no favors for you even if you're a long-term member like me.

Hype is not cheap

The massive, omnipresent Ka'Chava publicity campaign is costing the company a fortune. It represents a large part of the cost we are paying for them to put these inert ingredients into a bag. Respect your body and save your money. Eat healthy, organic, live food instead.

DON"T LET THEM PUT YOU ON A…

DON"T LET THEM PUT YOU ON A SUBSCRIPTION - IT'S NOT SAFE!! YOU WILL SPEND MORE THAN YOU AGREED TO!

I was so excited to learn about and try Kachava. It was my way of doing something healthy for my body. After doing my research and reading the site I purchased 2 bags. One Chocolate and one Coconut. After a week of using the product, my favorite was the coconut. So I logged in to my account and changed the chocolate in my subscription to a coconut. Two coconuts sounded delicious!

When my next order was due, looking at the bags, I decided it would be a smart idea to order three. Not knowing how to increase my order, I let a support rep help me. She was very helpful and added the third bag of coconut and sent me a link to remove the third bag once I received it. I was happy.

I got my shipping notice but something looked strange. 3 bags would equal up to $180 plus tax.

My bill was $239.80 - So after work on Friday, I called to find out what had happened. I was told that a one-time order from Macha was placed. I asked what the heck it was Macha - they said a green drink. I explained that there was a serious error. Not only did I not order this Macha, but I don't drink green things. My attempts to get healthy hadn't gotten that serious, and probably wouldn't.

The disappointing thing was that I was told that they were sorry, but unless I took time off work, found the post office in my newly adopted town, and returned the empty bag there would be no way I would be compensated for the huge error. There was no label to send, so it could be picked up. It was my job to send their error back to them to correct it. OR, I was out $60 and stuck with green power. And to make things worse, the first person I spoke to told me that she would get back to me, but was blowing smoke. I guess it was just to get me off the line.

As customers, we mean nothing but the dollars they receive from each purchase and definitely from the orders that are made without our knowledge. Their customer service and respect for their customers is so disappointing. They turn excitement for a new chapter into a nightmare. Now, I have to find a company that has what they promise with the trust and respect we all deserve.

How can I trust my financial information to a company that doesn't care what happens? GREAT commercials and ads, a great dream that turned into a nightmare.

I do all of my purchases online and if you can't trust the company, what good is it if the product is good? I give great service and I at least expect good service!

Ka'Chava - NOT!

VERY Sadly,

Check it out...

Seem to be a lot of haters for the KaChava brand so here is a balancing statement. It is a bit pricey for me, but a lot of meal replacement shakes are. If you buy 2 bags it's $127.40 for 30 meals (incl free shipping), which is $4.23/ meal. That is not too bad for a high end, fully tested, organic meal supplement that also tastes great. Both Vanilla and Chocolate blend up smooth and taste great with Almond milk. I use it during the week for lunch or on a busy weekend. Not sure why so many people complaining but I think it's an honest product at a fair price.

Worth it

Worth it! A lot of bad reviews on here only because of customer service. But the shake itself is really good. It's better when blended well with milk. Or alternative milk. Like almond or oat! I switch it up all the time. The chocolate one is delicious. You can adjust the amounts if you want. I find 2 scoops to 10 oz of milk is the best for chocolate. And then the chai one following their measurements is awesome! Just ordered their bars. Super healthy compared to a lot of other ones I've tried. Super excited. I havent had issues with any of my orders yet. Yes it can get expensive but if you plan on actually using it as a replacement meal. It works out. $4/ shake meal and 2.50/bar isnt bad at all. Give it a try! As an experienced customer who watches what she puts into her body, I recommend this brand.

Customer Service is Non Existent

Customer Service is Non Existent - the company has been holding thousands of my money citing Payment Verification Issues. Nobody from their team has reached out to me in the 20+ days since I placed the orders. I have no idea how running a company in this way can be legal.

Where is customer service???

I placed an order 2 weeks ago, paid for it, and haven't received it.
If you have an issue, you receive an automated email response, but no follow up. I also spoke with someone who told me to watch my email for a response.
Really incredible in this day and age!

Don't believe the hype, that's all it is the current hyped blender shake product!

I've tried a bag of both the vanilla and chocolate and I give it a 2 and here's why. I've been around the fitness & health industry for over 3 decades. All the new shakes that come and go each one claiming how awesome it is. Ka'Chava is NOT superior nutrition, it's just the popular current blender shake product. It does have a decent amount of nutrients and phytochemicals but if you actually have an "I feel amazing" moment that's a placebo effect wait several weeks later it will be gone and so will a lot of money from your bank account.

In fairness the product itself is a 3-4, the marketing and company is a 1 which bring the score down to a 2. Why? I saw all the adds, I read about it and figured I would try. Just trying to learn more about it on their website, you realize it's set up to get you on a payment plan and automatic ordering. Then before you even get the product within minutes of ordering you're plastered with email already asking you to rate how great it is. You don't know they're set up your online account with the information you entered to make the order. Then after you see your inbox explode and it's 8 emails in an hour from them and you have to "cancel" your account to stop the emails. But then you learn it doesn't stop the automatic ordering that you didn't even know you signed up for. From that standpoint the way you have to order is borderline criminal we'll see how long they get away with it.

Again back to the product, I give it a 3-4, if it wasn't 2-3 times more expensive than its competitors it may be a 4-5 by itself. It's unfortunate the company is focused on profitability over consumer satisfaction or product longevity. Maybe because they know they're the current popular product but will most likely fall way off after. Unlike other blender mixed shake products that have been around for decades and more competitively priced. Maybe the owners of the company will be caught in some big scam, you never know, these days this has all the set up for something like that.

Good product, HORRIBLE business practices

First off let me say that I am currently a subscriber. My issue is not with the product at all because I actually really enjoy the shakes… my problem is with their unethical business practices. The promote a “referrel program” where if you send a new customer their way they will give you $15 as well as the person you referred $15. They provide a “link” to click rather than a code like every other business that has a referral program. The link never works and you are never given your $15 off and the recipient does not receive a discount either. I have brought this up with the company numerous times and nobody ever addresses the issue and I have never received credit for referring anybody. Furthermore, I have referred a number of people who have tried a one time purchase but have all automatically been enrolled in their subscription without signing up for it. My mother who did a single purchase even received a confirmation email that her next subscription shipment would be sent in three days. When she went on the site to log into her “supposed account”, The website said there was no account underneath her email. How come she’s getting subscription emails to her email that there’s no account even under her name ? Honestly I’m so tired of battling this company and I will never refer ANYONE again. The downside is that I actually do enjoy the darn product… So I guess I might start looking for another protein powder… It’s just a shame that they market themselves as ethical hippies that care about your internal wellness while they sneak into your bank account and steal your money.

Unethical business practices

I purchased the product having no idea I was signing up for a subscription rather than a one time order. There was literally nothing obvious that spelled this out, and I suspect I missed the small print - I agonized over spending the money for purchasing a product I had never tried and would never have signed up for a recurrent subscription. The product is not bad for a meal replacement, and I used it about twice before receiving, two months later, an email informing me my order had been shipped. I checked my credit card activity and saw a pending charge for $130. I called Ka’Chava immediately to express my dismay and surprise, asking why I didn’t receive a reminder email stating, “Your next order is about to be shipped” - the way every other subscription service does. They tell me they sent me a reminder email was sent 3 days earlier - I checked my inbox, trash and spam folder, and found no such email. I asked for a refund and was told I could return the item but would have to pay return shipping fees, which is absurd. I then spent a while on hold calling USPS and was told I could write REFUSED and RTS (Return to Sender) to have the box shipped back at no cost to me, as long as the box wasn’t opened. I intend to do this. I suspect this fraudulent company will charge me return shipping fees regardless. I would never do business with them again.

Terrible customer service

The Ka'Chava website is not very user friendly. I was attempting to edit my subscription and erroneously added a bottle to my cart, which was a result from a pop-up on their website that i couldn't exit when i was on my phone. I selected the bottle to get out of the pop-up, but a dialog box appeared stating it would be added to my next order. The item never showed up in my cart nor under my order history under my account. I had no idea what happened with this bottle that was added somewhere as I couldn't find any evidence it was actually added to anything under my account. I decided to cancel all subscriptions and upcoming orders just to be safe; however, a month or so later I received an email that they were sending me this bottle. I called that day to inform them of the issue and they were unable to cancel the order. The customer service rep did inform me that third party orders do not appear online in your account for some reason. I was informed that I could refuse delivery or return the item once received (no mention of incurring shipping charges). I was sent the tracking details and called DHL to refuse delivery, but their automated system never called me back... i tried twice. The package was delivered, and I contacted customer service to return the item. They informed me that i would have to pay return costs. I requested an exception as their website was not clear that this item was added to my account, nor was I able to find it in my upcoming orders. The website needs to be updated to fix this issue, or their customer service policies need to be adjusted for this issue. This is a poor business model and I would not suggest doing business with Ka'Chava until they have a clear, user friendly website and order process.

Just don't. It tastes terrible, and they make you pay to ship back the package you return.

And just fyi, things like onion don't have much nutrition, so even the idea is bogus.
