The most recent reviews have been really negative and I can totally see why. Here's my experience with Karuna Badges (and Leo, and PostNL)!

TLDR: Leo is a Scout, and a Scout is to be Trusted :)

Around the end of January/early February 2026, I first made my online order for badges through the website. Given the relatively costly mailing options, I settled with the Untracked option. As the days went by, the badges never arrived and as I read more in both the reviews here and PostNL's reviews, couldn't help but prepare for the worst. I reached out to Leo via Whatsapp, it takes quite a few times of blue ticks and double texting before getting a response from him. Regardless, the parcel indeed failed to arrive and it honestly wasn't an easy/smooth process in getting Leo to provide store credits so I could re-order my badges (purely because Leo takes quite a while to respond).

With the store credits, I ordered a 2nd batch and paid for tracking. Consistent with the previous reviewer, I neither received the tracking number nor the badges. I was texting Leo throughout the process, but tbh Leo wasn't the fastest to respond and it sure was anxiety-building. Was I scammed? Did I fall for it twice?

After having double texted Leo for a couple of days, I eventually received an unexpected call from Leo. He explained to me that he'd tried to search for the slip of paper with the tracking number but it couldn't be found. He then promised he'd send a 3rd parcel of badges (with extras!) and that I'd receive it within a week. And somehow Leo's confidence this time made it work, I really did receive the badges (after 2 full months) and I am very appreciative of Leo's initiative and commitment. A tired but happy customer!

Grateful to Leo for keeping his word, glad that I did my best in being patient with him. My conclusion is that if you see PostNL's reviews, they're even worse than Karuna Badges statistically. So let's not take it out on Leo and accept that there are things really beyond Leo's control. I can't imagine how much in losses has he accumulated over the years given the unreliability of PostNL and his commitment to his T&Cs (providing store credit, redelivery, refunds). I will recommend his products, but I will also recommend finding an alternative to the problematic delivery service!

Thank you Leo :)

Possible Scam - AVOID

Very disappointing and after reading other reviews I would go as far to say as untrustworthy.

Placed my order beginning of April, a month later still no badges. Only got a response when I messaged via Facebook, to which they had the cheek to accuse me of not following scout values. Was told I needed to wait until the items were considered lost, which I did and more.

I was offered a coupon where I could then reorder the badges, after some discussion it was agreed I’d pay extra for tracked parcel, which would be sent the next day. 4 days later nothing, when chased for a tracking number the sick family member excuse was used (seems a favourite excuse from other reviews) but was again told it would be done and sent. Another 4 days and still nothing, when I messaged again I got no response but an email stating I will receive a refund, will wait to see if this actually arrives.
Very disappointed, I would avoid.

Hi Ben,

Thank you for your feedback.

As I’ve explained to you privately, your order was impacted by a very serious personal matter that required my full attention. While I understand this delay caused frustration, I want to gently note that this was something deeply important and unavoidable.

Despite the circumstances, I did offer to resend your order—as I do believe in making things right. However, recognising that I wouldn’t be able to fulfill that promise as swiftly as usual, I chose to immediately issue a full refund instead. That refund has now been processed, and while it may take a few days to appear depending on your bank, it’s on its way.

At Karuna Badges, we pride ourselves on being a Scout-led project rooted in honesty and service. I truly regret that your experience didn’t reflect the level of care we aim for. Life doesn’t always follow our timelines, but integrity and accountability remain at the core of what we do.

Thank you for your understanding.

Yours in Scouting,
Leo

**Review:** Disappointed – Never Received My Badges and No Response

**Review:**

I never received my badges and have tried multiple times to contact customer support about this. At first, I was told I had to wait until they were considered "lost" 45 days after ordering. When I still hadn’t received them, I was promised a refund, but now they no longer respond to my messages. Really disappointing, as I was looking forward to the badges.

Sorting out a mislaid order

Thank you Leo from Karuna, who got in touch with me about my missing order. I'm extremely pleased that you were able to offer me a coupon to cover my mislaid order. You have very helpful and reinstated my faith. I have reordered my badges plus, and look forward to ordering again in the future. Many thanks once again fir getting back to me and sorting out the situation.

Not trustworthy at all

Not trustworthy at all. I had ordered my Badge in June 2023 and I am yet to receive anything from them. After many sent email asking where my order went and finally asking for a refund they refused to do so and no further explanation is given. This is on a scam level basis!

Never sent my badges

Ordered in March..... hadn't seen anything by June so I messaged and he replied that there was sickness in the family.... fine... but I still want my badges. He said he would resend them.... it is now Aug and still no badges. He blames it on the post office and the fact I didn't pay extra for tracking. I say he is not very Scout like and wouldn't trust him. 🙁 I am putting a claim in with my credit card company and hopefully will get my money back. So much for trusting a fellow Scouter.

Amazing badges

Amazing badges , great value for the quality .
Received shipping notice on a Monday and badges were delivered on Thursday, which is quite fast , but on the other hand my ASL ordered a week before and took 14 days for delivery, my suggestion is if it is a high value order go with tracking. The other downside is that they used to offer DHL at £10 per order but they stopped offering it and now it costs £50, but i guess the one to blame about that is brexit.
Really happy about my badges overall !!!!
