Fantastic Cruise

We travelled on the MV Nautilus with a fantastic captain and crew on a deluxe superior cruise from Dubrovnik and Split. We had read a few negative reviews about Katarina Line but our experience was absolutely wonderful from meals, guided city tours to swim stops. Our group of fellow travellers was a delight.

Katarina line Leonardo ship the worst…

Katarina line Leonardo ship is bad..my bad experience was specifically aboard the LEONARDO ship because of the diesel exhaust fumes.
Our first charter "premium deluxe class" was really great on a very nice ship. However our second trip on the Leonardo vessel (lowest class) it was terrible and the company has convinced themselves everything is fine with the boat even though it is not. Maybe if you do not have any sense of smell the Leonardo is fine. diesel exhaust fumes around every corner you turn and no fresh air place to sit.... Our lower deck room smelled moldy, the shower situation is not great, so old. Its like camping. I checked several times for a different ship at the port and was told they were fully booked, so after boarding and cruising for a few hours in the intolerable fumes we disembarked, the company refuses to offer any refund as they claim they could have found a solution... but I was very clearly told prior that they were absolutely fully booked and there was no solution so I didn't bother asking a second time after experiencing the intollerable. So in all, its a good company if things go well we really enjoyed the higher class charter but its a terrible company in the event things go bad. The Leonardo would have been fine if they could fix the exhaust fumes and the moldy smell...it is a cute very old ship. I don't understand how the company is acting like the diesel fumes are not an issue...I think this is an even more serious health issue for their crew who have to tolerate this all season. We have sailed on a lot of boats, all kinds of boats, Leonardo diesel fumes are the worst I have ever experienced and somehow you can't escape it unless you are at the very front of the ship in which there is only seating for about 5 people... I think there are 20 persons on a charter. I'm absolutely shocked they told me no other guests experienced my issue...I literally spoke with other guests as I was leaving who were upset with their experience. Obviously my partner felt the same about the fumes as I did, we aren't making this up! So shame on you Katerina line for not fixing an issue that I'm sure I'm not the only one complaining about. If you are reading this and considering boarding this ship I challenge you to take a carbon monoxide detector on board that ship, and into the lower deck cabin rooms... you might hear some issues!!

Never take a cruise on their old boats.

Old boats are in very bad conditions (but presented well as "sugar coating"), bathrooms are not for the living beings. AC/water not all the times but mostly when you dock in port's. Not enough space or chairs on sun deck, shade as well. We have had cruise for 7 days and it was the worst ever. This boats should be retired.
Be aware of this company.

Have just returned home after a weeks…

Have just returned home after a weeks cruise on board MS Admiral. We have had a great holiday and fell in love with Croatia. We have visited some fabulous places, eaten in amazing restaurants, taken in stunning views, shared good times with lovely people and generally had a fabulous time. This type of holiday is one which we would highly recommend. It is important to point out areas where we think the cruise holiday could have been improved, namely the provision of free tea and coffee throughout the day. We also feel that the host could have warned us that many bars and restaurants only accept cash (something that we found out half way through a meal one night). We were disappointed not to spend longer in certain locations but we guess this is all about the times the boat had to be in certain ports. We would sooner have spent longer at swim stops as opposed to hanging around in the morning at Dubrovnik where we were too far from the old town. The upper deck of our ship was wooden and a few people were unfortunate to pick up small splinters in their feet. Be sure to wear shoes! We were also disappointed at the quality of the cocktails served on board. These issues did not prevent us from having an amazing holiday and we will certainly recommend this holiday to friends.
