Don't bother using

Don't bother using. Kayak used to be legit, now the quoted prices are never even close to the actual cost. I made several attempts to book and each time it quotes that something went wrong and then forwards to another site where the price is doubled. No thanks. I'll use the airline sites where at least I know what I am paying as I look at the flights. Poor form Kayak. What happened to you?

Referred to a scam website

I got scammed by a website which i was referred to by Kayak flights website , i was scammed into purchasing five airline tickets for me and my family , which as shared with me after the purchase transaction completed did not include any luggage.
While i was purchasing the said tickets there was no mentioned in the online journey to indicate the tickets don’t include luggage , i have with me the screen grabs from a sample journey .
I later received a confirmation email from the website , the email didnt mention any reference to luggage inclusions.I received a phone call from the website sales agent “Chris” informing me that the booking has gone through with the airline but there was no luggage included in the booking.
At this stage i am not even certain whether we have confirmed airline seats. All i have is the above order confirmation email without any airline reference number.
Upon calling the website back and repeated request for refund the website agent has given us no other option but to purchase luggage costing $1000 a piece .

Scam - avoid it

Low prices advertised on first search. However, after painstakingly filling in details and card number, tickets were suddenly not available when completing the booking. The website told me to search again, after which prices hiked substantially. This repeated itself a couple of times

That be it, but the worst was that when I finally managed to successfully complete a booking, my credit card was immediately charged. A seconds or two after, I received an email telling me that the airline was unable to confirm the booking and that I needed to call a US number immediately. With a couple of thousand dollars off my bank account I was eager to resolve the issue, so I called the number and was told that I needed to pay an extra 300+ dollars. Out of worries that I would end up having troubles getting refunded, I accepted to throw good money after bad money. I felt blackmailed and ended up with a rather expensive ticket

A few days later, I had the people on the phone again. This time trying to charge me an additional amount for seats. I checked with the airline's website and found that both tickets and seats were much cheaper there.

Really disappointed

Really disappointed. I’ve used Kayak for really well priced flights before. However now when I search flights with luggage I get the great prices but once you are directed to the booking sites the luggage is no longer included. This wastes time and is misleading. Kayak needs to sort out such errors.

Great service

I was struggling with my booking when I called customer service Yana was so patient with me, she guided me throughout the process until done and I really appreciated that she called me to gave me some additional information after that long time it took to finish the procedure.
Thanks Yana I will definitely use Kayak again.

Never book through KAYAK

Booked a rental car via KAYAK. They then found a vehicle via Discover Cars who presented a option at Jucy Rentals. Somehow Kayak ignored my selected pick up and drop off times, so when my flight landed (on time) Jucy was closed.

I had no vehicle for my holiday and it cost me over $300. I was provided no support just finger pointing.

Book directly, never book through KAYAK.

An absolute scam of a company

An absolute scam of a company. Doesn't have any customer care numbers. You'll try to book the ticket for a certain, and they'll book it for some other date later on, that we usually don't keep re-checking after choosing the date in the first instance.

Kayak doesn‘t help Customers

Kayak denies all help and is not customer oriented. Should overthink how their way of working with customer functions instead working against them.
They completely let you alone in case something happens with your flight. As well their contact numbers provided by them are out of service and while they do have a chat they copy paste answers and only reply to selected questions while ignoring the others and it will take you hours to get any support, which will disappoint eventually. As well they sent me emails claiming that they called me
and had a 20minutes conversation (which never happened). I highly suggest to look for alternatives as long as they don‘t change their whole services and policies.

Cancelled booking

I booked my flight from Toronto to Sao Miguel through Kayak.com. That was my second attempt. The first reservation through booking.com was cancelled without any explanation, so I tried Kayak this time. The price was higher, but I decided to book. I received a confirmation and my credit card was charged. However, on the next day I received a phone call from a person with the name Thom who informed me that my reservation had been cancelled again. The reason he gave me was the price change. He offered me the same flight for a much higher price. I refused and, afterwards, checked the price with the Azores Airlines. The price was considerably lower ($300 difference). My point is that the company selling air tickets cannot cancel the reservation after the money has been taken. I believe they take advantage of their customers who are in a situation when they are ready to buy a ticket for any price. I don't see a difference between air tickets and any other products we can buy online or in a store. Once it is sold, it can only be returned if the buyer wants to return it. I am not going to deal with this company anymore and I don't recommend it to anyone.

Kayak is an absolute scam…

Kayak is an absolute scam including their own ‘instant book’ service. They show you cheap prices, you then spend your time filling in all your details, and add your credit card number but when you go on to complete the booking, the prices are no longer available. If you don’t complete the booking with the new higher price, you’ll get a call. Shocking website, they need to be shut down.

Kayak used to be legit, but no longer….

Kayak used to be legit, very good, and I used them many times in the past to purchase cheap tickets. I think they had their own employees who confirmed bookings, helped make changes and would rebook flights when there were alterations or cancellation with the airlines. That is no longer the case. They seem to now be working other companies that are deceptive, dishonest and do not offer good customer support. I just found out that a ticket I booked to fly next week was NEVER purchased, though on Kayak’s site, it shows as confirmed and even shows the card I used to purchase it. The Kayak site directed me to AirAssist for customer service and said that the booking had been made through them. AirAssist showed the booking as cancelled! When I called, they said my card had not gone through and Miguel had tried to call me several months ago, couldn’t reach me and so they cancelled the ticket. But if I wanted to, I could get the same ticket now for 400 dollars more. I was so angry, I couldn’t breathe! We’re in the 21st century. If there’s a problem with the card, we have the de no logo to deal with that in real time, while I’m still on the site. Why have some random guy call me at some random time as if I am waiting by the phone to speak to him? This all happened just 5 days before my international trip. I hung up with AirAssist and fortunately was able to find a fare for the original price through Expedia. It’s infuriating and very disappointing that Kayak has devolved into yet another company who is cutting costs and providing deceptive service in order to make their shareholders richer. I am quite sure the extra money doesn’t go to the third party employees. Shame on you Kayak. You have forever lost a customer who believed in you. Kayak will never see another cent from me!

These guys Working with all cheating Companies..

These guys Working with all cheating companies to list vehicles in their site. One such is EconomyBookings. Eventhough hell lot of people raised complaints they still allow them to list vehicles as rentals. No responsibility from Kayak to check their worthiness and customer complaints.

We should completely avoid these BROKER Sites and book anything directly with Rental Companies and Arilines.

Kayak is killing the planet one ad at a time

The internet is already polluted with infinite ads. Kayak pay for ads on my lhone and on my ps4. I wish they went bankrupt. There is no word to describe how much i hare having a corporation jumping in my living room trying to get my money while using my electricity abd my internet connection. They should hive ne money gor having to watch their atrocious ads. I will remember the name just to make sure no one i know ever give them a dime. I would prefer to find actual bird poop on my screen
