Perfection

I saw very bad reviews on the internet that says something about poor quality, bad customer service and so on.... I am a little bit confused...

My experience is amazing. I am from slovakia, pretty far away from US continent. Ordered this case and for few days my order was without any update. So I sent them email... responded almost instantly, that my case is in production... About 5 days later I again wrote them email... instant reply: your case is almost ready and will be shiped tomorow. Well guess what. It was shipped next day.

Case arived without any damage. Perfect quality. I ordered walnut case for my S25 ultra. Wood is strong and thick and also case is pretty heavy. Master quality. Fits perfectly on my phone. Thank you very much for this product. I was looking for something simmilar very long time.

People also complains about their cases that it broke down after 2-3 times when mobile phone droped o nthe floor... Well, its made of Wood my god. Of course it is possible that it wil brake sooner than standard rubber cases :D

So for me, most of the negative reviews are just rolling and jokes. This was amazing experience and I am looking forward to order again once I will switch to new phone.

Thanks Kerf, keep doing amazing job.

Disappointed after acquisition

I have been a Kerf customer since 2022 and have had several iterations of cases (i've bought several from Walnut to Teak Wood - and these are not cheap but I like supporting a small business)
Jesse was a god send and was always so helpful with any issues, repairs, etc.
I reached out recently because I haven't heard back since August on an issue with my phone case where the cutout for my charger doesn't fit a standard USB C cable. I've used the same OEM charger for my Samsung phone since i've gotten it, and for some reason, the recent case just doesn't align. I have a modified charger that fits, but the regular one does not fully connect. I reached out to support and unfortunately did not get anywhere but an answer that "we don't know why you're having issues and the oem charger should work and if I purchase again in the future, I should be good with the oem charger" - Sorry, but I won't be purchasing again.
Disappointed to say the least, Jesse would have at least been more helpful, and sadly with acquisitions like this, I feel like the warm customer service brand that was Kerf, is no longer existent. What a sad day.

Amazing customer service

My son bought the iPhone 15 ProMax walnut chase for me as a present. It was a very beautiful case and felt good in the hand. After several months of use, a crack in the case developed which I might have tried to repair myself. I switched back to my old iPhone case, checked the Kerf website and found they offered complimentary lifetime repairs. I emailed Kerf photos of the damage and was reassured by Jesse, their manager, that he would have this repaired for me. I did not hear from Kerf so I wrote to Jesse. He informed me that a critical piece of wood was missing from the case making it unrepairable. After a few emails back and forth, Jesse surprised me and sent me a brand new beautiful walnut Kerf case. Amazing! Thanks. Love the new case.

I purchased a iPhone Pro 16 Plywood case in fall 2024, and only after a couple of small drops (1-2 feet) the case is broken. I reached out to Kerf customer support, and after a couple of weeks of waiting for a response they offered to repair the case or replace it for 50% discount. I decided to get a discounted replacement even though it should be offered free, but Kerf customer support won't return my calls/emails. For a $60 case, it's one of the worst quality purchases I've made, and their customer support is basically non-existent. They also have a pretty bad attitude when responding back. What company uses 'paternity leave' as an excuse for not having ANY staffing for customer support. Paternity leave was the reason I had to wait ~3 weeks for a response. AVOID THE HASSLE AND DON'T BUY THIS JUNK.

A beautiful work of art that I can enjoy every day

I just bought my second Kerf wooden iPhone case. I just love the look and feel of the product. The way it frames my phone is beautiful.

The fit is excellent and the buttons work well.

I should add that Kerf offers a free first repair of the case (if it’s possible to do so) I think that that speaks volumes about the good will of the company and if it’s determination to stand by their work.

Warranty not honored, no reply from company

I ordered a case in December. Received it in January. It broke in my pocket after two weeks of normal use. No problem, Kerf claims that they offer a lifetime warranty. I’d even be happy to pay for a repair, if needed. Unfortunately, I have been emailing weekly since the beginning of February and have never received a reply.
Additionally, I left a review detailing my experience. This review was not added to their website, but good reviews continued to show up on their website. Unfortunately this company does not appear to be honest or to stand behind their products.
It’s too bad. It’s a beautiful product, but it just doesn’t seem to keep its promises.

The precision is impressive and the overall feel of the case is, as well. However the downfall is quite steep when you factor in the little strips of fabric that they haphazardly glue into the inside of the phone to “protect” and grip the phone so it doesn’t fall out of the case. Terrible job on this aspect. My iPhone 14 Pro Max did NOT fit properly. Sure I could snap it into the case, but the button functions for volume and power were greatly hindered. The fabric acts as a barrier between the case and the buttons and it is not well made. I spent $120 on this case and to be honest, I’m pissed about it.

Overpriced, poorly made.

Ordered the maple case with camera ring.

About a week after I received the case, the camera ring broke. No heavy wear/tear involved -- just pulling my phone out of my pocket.

Then, the thin pieces of wood encircling the cutouts on the left and bottom sides of the case broke. This didn’t affect the function of the case, but it meant that the case caught on fabric every time I pulled it out of my pocket or put it in. I had to sand the pointy pieces down.

I was really hoping someone at Kerf would replace this case for me. I contacted them multiple times but no one responded.

Two stars instead of one because admittedly I have dropped my phone from 3-4 ft multiple times and the case did its job. (But you can get that type of protection at less than half the price.)

I wanted to love the case but I can't recommend it. Overpriced, poorly made junk.

I feel scammed

I ordered a Kerf case on Nov. 2. The email confirmation said "Please allow one week for your order to ship." I followed up when I hadn't received my order by Nov. 21, and they responded that they are currently quoting four weeks from order to shipment. That wasn't the case when I placed my order, or I wouldn't have. I emailed again on Dec. 9, and never heard back. Just contested the charge with my credit card company. Pretty unbelievable.

Terrible after sales service!

I bought a case from this business for my Iphone 6. After dropping my phone which caused a minor fracture of the top of the case, I took up their offer to repair the case free of cost. This process took nearly 3 months. Clearly they don't prioritise repairs over new sales. Initially the repaired case looked in good order. Then when I fitted my phone and tried to connect my Apple earpods, I found they'd misaligned the hole for the 3.5mm plug. As a result, the plug was bent and caused one of the earpods to drop out, leaving me with mono sound. That cost me $29.00AUD to replace. I sent an email to Kerf over a month ago providing constructive negative feedback and got no response. I then sent 4 follow up emails to both email addresses I had on file for this business, including the email address posted on their website - all were ignored. I gave this business every opportunity to respond to my feedback directly, but they chose to ignore me instead. So I am posting this negative review. Beware that once this company have your money, if any issues arise with your case and you take up their offer to 'repair' your case, be prepared for a l - o - n - g wait and a coin toss whether they screw up the repair. And if it's the latter, good luck getting the issue redressed by these clowns!
