Quick and efficient

Posted Monday, received repaired fob following Friday. Tested and working. New case and I presume a new battery. Quick and great value. Very good customer experience.

Fantastic service

Fantastic service. My Hyundai I30 key had come adrift from the key fob and remote control. I did some research into getting it repaired or replaced and decided to use Keyfob Repair company. Posted the damaged key to them via Special Delivery. (£8.70) at 10.45am Tuesday and the replacement key was delivered at 2pm Friday. Works perfectly.

Excellent service

Excellent service. Sent my key fob for repair as part of it had disintegrated. 2 days later a new one was received along with the old one. It all works fine now. By using them it has saved me over £400 from getting a new one fro. Hyundai.

Dishonest

This company is very dishonest. Sent my keyfob back the same day they received it. When I received it it wasn’t working. I called them and they said that they tried it and it was 100% working.
It took me 10 days and more money to figure out that they changed the case but didn’t even bother changing the battery! A different repair guy measured the frequency in my presence, it was flat. He opened the fob and found an old battery. Changed it and the fob is now working.
I requested a refund not heard back.
Will give it a few more days then report them to trading standards. Awful!

Outstanding Service Supplied? I’ll O-key That…

No one in East Yorkshire or the surrounding counties was interested in repairing my 2017 Mini Cooper’s faulty keyfob.
But, for less than £40, including return postage from Bedfordshire, this long-established company almost 150 miles from my home did what others weren’t prepared - or couldn’t be bothered - to do.
Daniel and John, the two “key personnel” I spoke to, were unlike their non-rivals who just wanted to “fob” me off with excuses.
So, if you’re a Mini (or other) owner with a dud key, the lessons from this review are obvious:
1. Don’t waste hours online researching possible repair shops who may, or may not, know what they’re doing;
2. Don’t contact your marque’s main dealer - mine quoted £250-plus, advising me that “we are the only ones with the diagnostic tools to do the job”;
3. Do yourself a favour and rely on Keyfob to do a first-class job without all the self-imposed frustrations that I encountered.
Cheers, guys. You’ve restored my faith in independent specialists.
P.S. Update on 15/03/24.
A second Cooper keyfob developed the same fault as the first. I posted it to this company last Saturday, March 9th, 2024, and it was back in my hands, in perfect working order, this lunchtime.
For a total of £38.50, including return postage, that’s many times cheaper than my authorised Mini dealership’s quoted fee.
And it saved me the time and expense of at least one 40-mile round trip (assuming the repair was carried out while I waited).

Still waiting for refund

The website doesn’t explain exactly which key fobs they can repair and which they can’t. So I sent mine off, only to find they can’t do that type. It took me 5 phone calls to get the fob back and I am still waiting for my refund. Not happy!

Exceptional Service. Wonderful

Freelander2 key was in a terrible state and one of microswitches broken. Repaired and sent back to central Scotland within 24hrs. Even emailed me to check delivery address correct. Excellent service and outstanding value. Highly recommended.

Great value and keeping the main dealerships from ripping customers off

I was quoted a total of £430 by the local Landrover dealership for a replacement keyfob for a Discovery 3 and the programming required by the servicing department once the part arrived. They also said lead times for the part recently had been many months!

Keyfobrepair did it for £33 and I sent it off and received it back within a week. Very pleased.

Great service

Sent my key in on the Tuesday for a battery replacement (it's not something you can change easily at home) and had it back in my hand by Friday. Really happy with the turnaround and quality of work.

Worked for 6 months & 2 weeks. Then binned.

Sent my key fob for repair and it failed just over 6 months later. Was told it’s only guaranteed for 6 months and need to pay again for another. Sometimes you just get what you pay for. Would’ve been nice for them to replace it considering it was only just outside the 6 month period. Wont be using again and sadly wouldn’t recommend

£300 > £250 > £175 > £53

Spoke to the car manufacturer, I was quoted price of £300 with a 2-week turn-around.

I spoke to leading high-street key replacement service, £250, 1 week turn-around (they also lied and said they / you could only use an official replacement key, #FakeNews),

I then spoke to local business, £175, 1 - week turn-around.

Finally got in touch with Keyfob Repair, Paid £30 via their site, then sent the damaged keyfob via the post office next day by 9am (£23)

It was signed for at 7:30am on a Friday

Guess what ?

Keyfob arrived first thing saturday morning, worked like a charm.

£300 > £250 > £175 > £53

Flawless service at a fraction of the original cost!

Highly recommend … amazing service

I tend not to give 5 ever but on this occasion they fully deserve.
Sent my very damaged key off on Wednesday in the hope that they could revive.
Beautiful new key arrived Friday, this is now going to be my master key after passing the "will it really work test" .
No issues at all - phoned the company just to pass my thanks personally and he could not have been more humble.
Companies like this need our support please. Thank you Elaine

Speedy service, excellent value

The blade had broken away from my Hyundai i20 key fob, and after researching options I chose this firm. I sent the fob and blade on Thursday - on Saturday the new key fob was delivered, blade attached and working as good as new. Great service and brilliant value.
