Deposit scam

Warning: Do Not Trust This Property – Deposit Scam

The room itself was fine, but the experience after our stay was appalling.

We were fighting to get our £100 deposit back, over 4 months after our stay. The property falsely claimed we damaged a coat stand, something we never even touched. It was the middle of summer so why on earth would we be using a coat stand? We asked the company to provide pictures as evidence of any damage to the coat stand, they never did send us these photos. This is a completely made-up excuse to keep our money. To make matters worse, we were charged £20 for checking out just 15 minutes late. It’s clear they are looking for every possible way to squeeze extra money from guests.
We received an email saying they would refund £80 of our deposit, after 4 months of going back and forth with the company via booking.com. That kind of behaviour is not just unprofessional, it's dishonest.

The property consultants handling this are completely untrustworthy and seem to scam guest around deposits. Avoid this property and any others managed by the same people. We will never stay at one of their listings again.

They clearly are in the beginning stages and are not yet capable of properly offering the services they aim to

Their only positive review on TrustPilot is from themselves. Stacey is his wife.

In our experience, this husband and wife team lacked basic professionalism. Our experience working with them was incredibly poor. To Kieran’s credit, our dealings were with his partner who seems to attempt organising short term let turnovers.

In response to this single review, they have now taken to reviewing our company in several forms in retaliation from their company account, Kieran's personal account and his wife Stacy's personal account. It has been disappointing to again see such a lack of professionalism. Looking into other reviews they have left other companies shows that this is common behaviour.

We take all feedback seriously, but we also believe in setting the record straight when a review does not accurately reflect the reality of events.
From the beginning, there were multiple communication errors with our company and theirselves that directly impact our ability to perform requested tasks. This includes changing access codes without letting us know resulting on team members being sat outside for extended periods of time, giving us set up and stock instruction after appointments had already been completed, and failing to communicate with their guests on several occasions, meaning our team was put in awkward and eventually a dangerous situation.

To address the claims in this review:
Payment & Invoicing: Our invoicing policy was clearly communicated. As per our terms and conditions which are emailed to every client when a booking is made, payment is due upon completion and cards on file can be charged as such unless other arrangements are made. We responded professionally and provided the necessary breakdown.
Cleaning Standards & Linen Management: The client consistently failed to provide the correct linen sizes for beds, making it impossible to meet her own expectations. She also changed requirements after cleans had been completed, creating confusion and unnecessary complications.
Communication: While we are always happy to assist our clients, we do not provide 24/7 concierge service. Comments regarding our lack of communication were disappointing as our experience often included Stacy sending messages to our company Whatsapp between 10pm and 2am and expecting an immediate response. If I as business owner happened to see them, I would respond as a courtesy, but its not a reasonable thing to come to expect.
Staff Safety: The final incident that led to us discontinuing our services was deeply concerning. Our team was put at risk due to the client’s failure to communicate proper check-out times, which resulted in an aggressive confrontation with guests. They laughed it off and claimed we were exaggerating, when in reality if left one of our female cleaners deeply shaken as the guests they had in became extremely aggressive after she emptied the fridge of left behind items in their Airbnb. We will never tolerate situations that jeopardise the well-being of our staff which is what has led us to this situation.

Ultimately, we made the decision to part ways because we hold our business—and our team—to a higher standard than this client was willing to uphold in her own operations. We work with many professional, well-run Airbnb hosts who appreciate and respect our services, and we are grateful to continue working with those who understand the value of a reliable, quality cleaning company.

Unfortunately, this review isn't true at all.

This situation was as simple as basic communication from Broom and Bucket was not very good at all.

We asked for basic things from a cleaner, pictures after each clean, we would be sent pictures of half done Cleans or no pictures at all, we had to chase and chase all the time, out of the 5 Cleans you did we only recieved 3 pictures of Cleans.

We asked for a break down of prices just to help us understand where they got their figures from never was we not going to pay. However seemed to be too much of a task for this to be done.

It started when the guests that checked out had accidentally took some keys that locked the bedroom doors, I told them to get back asap to return them, they did within an hour or so and the cleaner was still there

The guests came in to collect things they had left because for some reason they didn't know they had to check out by 11am, which I had told them, so tell us we have 'poor guest management' is false, the booking was arranged by a manager of a contractor and he failed to tell his workers the correct check out time, so these things happen, out of our control.

Then the cleaner refused to return because apparently the workers were loud and aggressive, I instantly spoke to the manager saying they need to watch how they act. So, Broom and bucket you don't see ANY of the behind the scenes we did to try and resolve this, yet you did NOTHING to resolve this.

You actually lied to us saying someone would return to complete the clean and noone did, leaving us in a bad situation to get it cleaned ourselves when we had other guests arriving, shocking and very unprofessional.

We then decided it's best to go our separate ways and wanted to settle the final invoice, we were questioning the payment and wanted a break down and according to your policy we have 72 hours to settle any invoice.

Because you had our card on file, and because we questioned the break down, WITHIN 7 HOURS of receiving the invoice, you decided to charge my card around £113 without my permission, not once I repeat not ONCE did I say I wouldn't pay the invoice, we just wanted clarity.

Yet you decided to charge my card within 7 hours of sending the invoice, complete abuse of power, you are supposed to be trusted with financial details and honor your own policy of "72 hours to settle invoices" you had no right to do that.

This was last week and yet you decide to carry this on. Extremely unprofessional, I genuinely thought it would've been a great partnership seeing that you are supposedly an award winning cleaners, we were really keen honestly.

I feel you've taken this personally, at the end of the day, your cleaner left, you didn't arrange for a cleaner to come back and left us in a very difficult situation, you charged my card without my permission that was within the 72 hour time frame I had to settle it.

Very pleasant experience

Was looking for a deal which I needed to move quickly with, Kieran was amazing with finding just what I needed and made sure all the numbers stacked up (which they did) was a very easy process as communication was spot on throughout. Very easy to work with and will definitely be doing more deal with Kieran.
