Kijzer?
We hired Kijzer in 2022 to carry out renovation work on our roof, our flat roof, and to insulate the back of our house.
The work only started in February 2023, much later than promised.
After one week, we contacted the office to express our concerns about water infiltration through the flat roof, which had been left completely unprotected against the weather.
One month after the start, our kitchen ended up flooded.
A new team had then replaced their “regular partner” (in other words, a subcontractor).
The ceiling had to be redone (poorly finished and uneven), and they were difficult during the visit from the insurance experts.
Once the work was completed, we had to call them back about a month later due to another leak—again from the flat roof above our kitchen.
In 2024, it happened again—still the same issue.
Kijzer then came back in September to install a new layer of roofing over the entire surface.
This Monday, May 4, 2026, around 11:00 p.m., it was once again raining inside our kitchen.
Water was leaking through a spotlight fixture...
They came on Friday the 8th of May to repair corners with roofing, where water might have leaked through the roof.
All these issues have cost us time and money, and have put a heavy strain on our relationship.
We paid 40.000€ for a work that does not fully satisfy us.
We have a 10 year warranty, and hope this is the last time they need to fix their work, we want peace of mind for the price we paid for.
