Do not buy from here

Do not buy from here! They put out of stock items on their website and let you buy them, only letting you know the day after that they're actually out of stock. I was so disappointed as I couldn't get another engagement present made for my friends in time. Very bad service as I thought they would have learned to not do this after all the bad reviews on here.

Scammers – avoid – they will let you pay for items they know are out of stock

I ordered a gift for a friend. They happily took my payment and confirmed my order. Then days later they admitted the candle isn't actually in stock and tried to get me to swap to a much worse alternative.

The candle still shows as in stock online, and I've informed them of this but they haven't changed it.

Looking at reviews, this is clearly a common pattern.

Extremely disappointing. Don't order from these scammers.

We're a small business and unfortunately the 3 wick candle you requested went out of stock after you placed an order as our website wasn't updated in time.

We contacted you within less than 24 hours to advise you about this issue and offered the same three wick candle in many different fragrances. We also offered a full refund if that wasn't an option you wanted to take.

If I could give six stars I could!

The candle smells exceptional, the price is very reasonable compared to other 100% soy alternatives, and the delivery was very speedy and was delivered in time for a birthday gift. I will definitely be ordering from Kindred Fires again and I am incredibly pleased.

Poor service. Slow response. Still waiting for order…

Still to receive order despite them sending Royal Mail tracking. 2 days late and 2 separate emails asking where my order is, only to get old that by error it was not added to production queue. So they are sending it fast but no refund of initial postage fee. As this was a gift it put me in a bad spot so will be unlikely to use them again. Even if I get the order and it’s great I cannot rely on this company.
Had to tell friend her present would be late and not ready for her birthday celebration. So embarrassing!

Awful customer service

Awful customer service! Sell out of stock items, then wait for you to complain you haven’t got your order before even considering a refund! Much better companies out there for candles.

Excellent quality and service

I bought a personalised candle and some other gifts for my wife for our anniversary. Items were sent quickly, beautifully packaged. The quality exceeded expectations, both the scents and gorgeous designs. Love that this is a home based company. Will use again

Disappointed

The candle smells lovely but the photo on the website shows a candle sitting on a base, the description describes it as on a clear base which apparently is the bottom of the candle and there is nothing to sit the candle on, this is misleading, please be aware when you buy the candles even if it shows it sitting on a base it is not included!

Such an excellent company

Such an excellent company. I have been buying candles from Kindred fires for over a year and they are my go to gift for all special occasions. Candles are always greatly received by the recipient. I have also purchased a number for myself the scents are amazing. Excellent customer service and any queries are responded to quickly.

This is a small family run business which I will continue to support in the future. 🙂

I think there have been some issues with ordering and items going out of stock which will hopefully be rectified soon. A small bump in the road. I have never had any issues in the past.

I look forward to the autumn and winter scents 🍁🍂

Extremely disappointing first…

Extremely disappointing first experience. I ordered a candle with next day delivery for a wedding anniversary gift, only to be told after placing the order that the item was out of stock. There was no indication of this on the website when I paid.

Customer service contacted me just before closing, offering a refund or a swap, but didn’t give me a chance to respond before simply cancelling the order and refunding me—despite me never requesting that. This left me without a gift for an important occasion, and no compensation was offered for the inconvenience or the failed next day delivery.

Very poor service, lack of communication, and no accountability. I won’t be ordering again.

Thank you for your feedback, though we're sorry to see this review given the steps we took to resolve the issue.

Your order was placed with next-day delivery, which begins from the day of dispatch. As outlined on our website, we have a 1–2 working day lead time before dispatch, and delivery times are estimates are - not guaranteed.

Unfortunately, the scent you selected went out of stock shortly after your order was placed. We got in touch the next working day to explain the situation and offered you either a full refund or the option to receive your order in an alternative scent. You requested compensation beyond a full refund and notified us the gift wouldn’t arrive in time. To avoid further delays with your urgent gift, we processed a full refund for you.

You later objected to the refund we have provided, so we also offered to send the order in a different scent free of charge for you but this was also refused.

We understand it’s frustrating when a gift can’t be delivered in time, and we genuinely did our best to provide a fair and prompt resolution. While we respect your right to leave a review, we feel this doesn’t reflect the efforts made to resolve things helpfully and professionally.

The best personalised gifts

I love the product - Kindred Fires is my go-to for special personalised gifts!

I had an issue recently and while they were a little slow to respond, it did eventually get solved. Thank you to the team and for creating such beautiful gifts!

Beautiful candles and wonderful service.


I purchased a Libra scented candle for my daughter’s birthday and realised as soon as I placed the order that I had not chosen the correct scent for it. The Kindred Earth team were super-helpful and corrected it before it was scent off. Beautifully packaged when it arrived. Fully recommend for home and for gifts. Love your candles!

Lovely gifts and absolutely amazing…

Lovely gifts and absolutely amazing customer service.
I ordered a 'the date we met candle' and managed to put the wrong date on which I only realised after it had been sent out. I contacted them to ask if I could have another label, they got back to me super quick and I had my label 2 days later... they also didn't charge me any extra for this!
Candle is lovely and smells fab too!
Will definitely be ordering again!
