Booked a cab on 17.08.2023, for a pickup from Manchester Airport to Chester on 20.08.2023. Booking went through, no problem. On 20.08.2023 we went to the airport for our flight home. CALLED King Kabs and gave notice to say our flight was delayed by an hour. Ran through the details, confirmed address and name, “no worries love, we’re keeping an eye out on the flight” was the response. Landed and called back to notify KK we had landed. “Oh? You should’ve been given a pre-payment link to prebook the cab. There isn’t a driver for you but can put the job through and they’ll be there within the hour”. Ridiculous!!!

Disgusted - booked to pick one of my family members from manchester airport to Chester and the driver didn’t turn up on time - my mother had to wait an hour at the airport. Then I driver turned up and drove from manchester to Chester.

Will never use this firm again after being an Abbey customer for decades, a driver tried to scam me for an unwarranted cleaning fee, complained twice NO callbacks from firm, Council now investigating, AVOID, I switched to ABC much better so far.

0 stars because the taxi driver decided to have a go at me and my friend for sharing a taxi because it was two different jobs. He also refused to give his badge number and tried changing time and half. The operator did say he couldn't but he would not listen and carried on having a go at us

I called KingKabs on 01244 343434[ 18:43 ] - 6:43pm Saturday 8 April 2023 - from London to get a quote for a journey and was told the price. I asked the male operator to repeat the amount and his response was "You are talking to me. You understand me" which was true - I replied that i couldnt tell the difference in the way he spoke the figures; "was it £13 or £30 " I asked. Yet, Instead of repeating the figure so I could decide which figure he said; I waited and waited, and had to ask him to repeat. His impatient tone was all I needed to say good bye and I immediately began an internet search for another taxi company. I could tell that English was not his native language, and although his diction was good, his phone manner was unacceptable.

Been using this taxi service for a long time and have always called to book taxis for my wife as she is a nurse and works all over northwest
There has never been a problem before and I have booked taxis many a time to pick her up from places over 40 ( Wigan ) miles away

Broke down on the motorway due to a a flat tyre. Stood in the rain ont he shoulder for 5 minutes while he tried to find us a new cab. None available so crawled along the hard shoulder to the nearest junction. We arranged a family member to come and pick us up and when we didn't immediately agree to pay half the fare for getting us halfway there (via a dangerous, rainy period on the hard shoulder of the motorway) we were kicked out into the rain on the side of a still very busy road! UBER all the way!!

Deserve 0 stars not 1. Booked a taxi an hour in advance to go the train station. Taxi was late and it took almost 10 minutes on hold to even get through to an operator. The woman who answered was incredibly rude and said she couldn’t say when the taxi would arrive. I explained this meant we would miss our train, costing us a lot of money. She hung up on me. We booked a taxi for a to take us to a coach connection at Chester services we also rand to confirm the booking both the week and day before, both times asking if they understood that it must be on time.
30 mins after the pick up time it had not arrived and I called them, i was told the booking was not on the system yet and it could be up to 2-3 hours
The operator then cut off the call
I rang back and was cut off again before being able to talk to someone.
3rd time... 'lucky' and the operator picked up and rudly barked " its not my problem if there are no drivers available... you will just have to wait."
I explained that as we had booked in advance and that I had a proof of booking that me missing missing the connection would leave the liable for a taxi fare to Southampton
She then 'pulled a driver off another job ' who was with me within 10 mins.
After speaking to the driver it transpires that King cabs don't actually have any cabs at all and all of their bookings pre booked or other wise just go on a live app where free lance drivers can choose to take the job or not.
If you want to be on time or treated with dignity... avoid like a kissing booth at the covid clinic

Awful service. Didn't send cars when booked twice and charged nearly double the quoted price. Would not recommend.
Total waste of time
Total waste of time. We had a long planned birthday outing to the Chester River boat. We ordered a taxi in plenty of time at 5.30pm to arrive at 7/7.15. The taxi did not show up until 7.50pm. We lost out on a fab birthday treat and £250 in lost ticket money. Make other arrangements or you will be very disappointed.

I exited the airport at 10.40 and rang today outside and it showed that the taxi would be 15 mins the taxi arrived at 11.55 it seems he had tried to call through system but it had not connected to my phone and he had been waiting since 10.30 I spoke to the operator twice and was just dismissed it was late I was on my own and 73 years of age and was told to contact Mollington office I think some customer training was required and not only was I inconvenienced but the driver lost monet
Rude Drivers.
Booked a taxi to work this morning, got a call to say it was outside, I said okay just putting my shoes on and I'll be down (the app had said it was still 3 minutes away) I then got a response of 'well I won't be waiting long' and he hung up the phone. I was less than 2 minutes between him calling me and me walking out of my buildings main front door and he was driving off and had cancelled my booking. This is disgusting behaviour and I was already reluctant to get in the car with someone that rude, him cancelling my booking then having a knock on effect meaning I was then late for work. King kabs have turned awful the past couple of years and I will not be trusting them again.

Ordered taxi to take us to Manchester Airport both ways, outward bound no problem,return journey taxi never arrived,rang Kingkabs only to be told our taxi had been cancelled because we never gave them a flight number,they rang to tell us but we were airborne and missed the call,no message left, how did they think we were going to get home,they knew it was booked for both ways. We asked them to send a taxi for us only because we had no way of getting home,we then had to wait over an hour at Manchester airport. When we originally booked, the operator never asked for a flight number,but thinking this was strange we rang back a few days later and gave it to them.we won't be using Kingkabs again.

Having lived in Chester all my life I’ve always used king kabs. up until 2019 they were great since then. I booked a taxi the night before I needed it they took £12 out my account that night the morning of the taxi it never arrived I rang they cancelled it said the money would go back in it never did. Ordered a taxi 5 days ago to which we requested must be dog friendly, not only was it not a dog friendly taxi it was an hour late and now today I order a taxi home from work they take £15.08 out my bank for a £9.50 journey and now say the refund could take up to 5 days to go back in. I work pay check to pay check and don’t have the luxuries of a f***ing (dirty) company robbing me blind. The fact the police are looking in to complaints now because of how many they’ve had regarding robbery from this company says it all. Will be out of business soon because they are breaking the law
