Thank you

Thank you, Alex, from Kitchens123/Cloisters. Alex was amazing from start to finish. We wanted to add additional storage to our Symphony kitchen. We were also able to mix in some bespoke cabinets from their workshop. Would highly recommend.

Please read reviews of Cloisters Design!! Safety issues, negligence and nightmares!!

BEWARE: This company IS THE SAME as Cloisters Design!!! Read the negative reviews for Cloisters design before you proceed!! They left an exposed gas pipe in our home for over 7 months that could very easily have resulted in an explosion. We only found out because we got a gas safe engineer out ourselves to install our hob 8 months into having no kitchen due to cloisters typical service and he was horrified to see this in our kitchen. It IS being reported as we speak to gas safety regulators! Joe Nunn’s response to this (on email) was extremely unbothered! He said should he ever see the plumber again, he will let him know. This is the typical response you’ll get from the entire family, Joe, Colin, Jacquie and Alex. This family is inconsiderate beyond belief, negligent and simply DO NOT CARE ABOUT their customers. Creating a new company is just a front for all the bad reviews, publicity and financial consequences of how they’ve run Cloisters. They are likely ringfencing the business so they can start afresh because the Cloisters name is so bad! Check out FB posts in local groups about them and be aware that so many people are scared to post about their experience because they are still awaiting completion of their kitchen or legal proceedings, or they are just exhausted from dealing with this company!

I’m fitting a kitchen supplied by this…

I’m fitting a kitchen supplied by this company to a client…they took all her money up front (6 months ago) and have only delivered part of the kitchen…7 weeks on and they do not answer phones, emails or texts…the appliances have never been delivered…and parts missing on units…they obviously have cash flow issues…do not go anywhere near them unless you like giving money away….

Worst Customer Experience I've Had

We ordered a kitchen through Kitchens123 (a part of Cloisters Design) and the experience was appalling. Quite easily the worst customer experience I've ever had.

I won't walk through the project and the multiple failings but I'll stick to the main points.

Communications was practically non-existent after we paid the invoice (100% upfront, of course). Calls would go to answer machine, I'd leave messages that were not returned. Emails would go unanswered. Text messages were ignored. They would ignore me for months at a time.

Lies. When I did make contact I was lied to time and time again. Lied to about dates for delivery, site visits when people just wouldn't show up, stock that was apparently sat right in front of them would suddenly vanish and wouldn't be available for weeks. Promises of install dates which would never actually happen. Right now, if I they told me the sky was blue - I'd look up and check. They have a complete aversion to the truth.

The contract wasn't fulfilled. 13 months after payment and just shy of the 1 year anniversary of installation starting I finally accepted what I should have realised a long time ago - they had no intention of finishing my kitchen. I was lucky, I paid for a good portion on credit card and so was able to put in a Section 75 claim. After submitting my evidence, the card company paid my claim in full.

If you've read this and still decide to use Kitchens123 or Cloisters then I wish you lots of luck, you're going to need it. But please, please pay on credit card (even if you don't need to) and remember the Section 75 claim. You may very well need it.

Additional Units

We needed some additional cupboard units for our kitchen that matched those of our existing units. Toby and his team were great throughout, from designing and suggesting ideas to the installation. Anthony who came to do the install was brilliant: very knowledgeable in his craft and did a great job. Communication from Toby to keep us updated was perfect too.

Kitchen/Diner refurbishment

Kitchens 123 work with you from initial concept and design through to installation. They are very knowledgable, give very good advice, very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The finished product is to a high standard at competitive pricing and delivered to the agreed target dates. We were very pleased with the finished product and would highly recommend them.

Quality cabinets and worktops and helpful advice

I contacted Toby to get a quote for some bespoke sized kitchen carcasses as my builders were making the doors and frames for an in-frame kitchen.

Toby was most competitive on price and also by far an away the most helpful and knowledgeable, and gave a lot of extremely helpful advice.

We ended up sourcing not only the carcasses but also oak dovetail drawers, Armac Martin handles, and a sink, as well as our Silestone worktops.

Toby's helpful guidance of sourcing standard sized products where possible to reduce price and bespoke where necessary I'm saved us money and reduced lead times.
Toby was also helpful with guidance of where to source plenty of items that we were buying elsewhere, also made us aware of industry shortages for products he knew we needed (although weren't sourcing via him), which helped us make sure we could keep our project on track.

His showroom is very well appointed and he was extremely helpful in the selection of our worktop.
We originally had another worktop in mind, but Toby was able to make some suggestions as well as line up worktop samples alongside the handles, wood flooring, and paint colouring we had in mind, which ultimately led us to change our choice. Now that it’s in we’re really glad that Toby took the time to guide us through the selection as it looks great. We also shopped around and Toby’s price was very competitive.

We only had one minor hiccup, and this was resolved quickly.
