Do not buy – wish I had read the reviews first

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering, as my experience is exactly the same as others here.

I paid nearly £200 for a children’s Swedish ladder and never received a complete, working product. From the start, I had concerns about the stability and safety of the item when assembling it, which were not properly addressed.

The product was faulty, with parts that did not fit together. I was told to hammer pieces into place and even sand them down myself, which is completely unacceptable for a product at this price point, especially a children’s climbing frame.

Replacement parts were delayed, incomplete, and one part never arrived at all.

After months of chasing, I returned the item, but I am still waiting for a refund and they have stopped responding.

Over 5 months later, I have no product and no money back. Completely unacceptable. Avoid.

Please please don't buy from this company

Please please don't buy from this company, their wall bars aren't safe and they've blocked my review on their website. I ordered the upgraded rungs and installed as per manufacturers instructions. Within 3 weeks a bar snapped, and then a few days later another bar sheared away from the support and ripped the screw out. One side of the supports does not have a deep enough recess for the bars and having now ordered bars from a different company I can see that these are of a substandard quality. I contacted the company for a refund and initially they were responsive and offered replacement rungs, but then ignored all further correspondence. My 8 year old daughter who is nowhere near the weight limit of these fell flat on her back with the swinging attachment on top of her. My credit card company have viewed all photos and conversations with kittenfield and have reimbursed me, so it's clear the company are at fault here and I'm not just a scorned customer. Avoid if you value your childs safety

Terrible product and customer service

Ordered for my daughter’s birthday and when it arrived, they hadn’t sent the apparatus, only the ladder which I reported immediately. When we began to assemble this, we discovered the holes weren’t drilled deeply enough and the screws supplied were so flimsy that when we started to tighten them, they began to snap. We stopped assembling when we had snapped three screws within the poles and reported it to Kittenfields. At first they were responsive but then started being dismissive then said they had sent three new poles and the apparatus missing from the first delivery without checking if this was an acceptable solution. I had also requested compensation as we were going to have to redrill all the holes and use better quality fixings but this was ignored. When the replacement poles finally arrived they were in a different wood to the rest of the poles so I complained again and was told to return the whole thing and get a refund. So disappointed - this ruined my daughter’s birthday and left us with a useless pile of wood which was too expensive to return to be able to get a refund. Company had terrible customer service beyond the first response. I had intended to take it up with PayPal as that’s how we paid for it but a sudden family emergency took up all my time and I missed the opportunity. This is still in its various parts in my house months later and I am at a loss to know what to do with it. Do NOT recommend. Terrible experience
