During Black Friday, I've had 2 campaigns already where a shared IP ban caused 22.5 and 60% of my emails to bounce. After research, this turned out to be a problem on Klaviyo its end, who have a l... See more

Great onboarding experience, feature-rich platform
✓ Great onboarding experience with the experienced Marius - who was thoughtful and helpful in his responses
✓ Wealth of support documentation
✓ Wealth of best practice guides
✓ Feature-rich platform for omnichannel marketing
✓ First-class integration with Shopify
You have to show up prepared to do the work. Nothing is turnkey. But this platform is best-in-class.
Klaviyo charges for fake profiles – terrible handling and zero accountability
We have barely used Klaviyo for email sending over the past few months, yet our monthly bill suddenly jumped from $150 to $250. The only reason for this increase is thousands of fake profiles that were automatically created via the Shopify integration – not real customers, not real activity.
When I contacted Klaviyo support, they confirmed the profiles came from Shopify and admitted they couldn’t prevent them. However, they completely refused to issue any refund or adjustment, hiding behind their refund policy.
It’s absolutely unacceptable to be charged for fake bot profiles that have no value whatsoever, especially when our actual usage of the platform is close to zero. The way this was handled left me with no other choice but to cancel our account entirely.
Amateurish at best.
I cannot explain how much I hate this platform.
First, whoever is the Lead designer needs to be fired. That person should've been fired 3 years ago, once the Home and Dashboards were changed.
Second, the changes that they're implementing are absolute dog****. Of course, just like rest of the AI techidiots, they're jumping on the train as well. While their basic functionality still lacks heavily, they're still pushing the AI garbage in our faces.
Third, their other "products" that are locked behind the paywall are dog****. The reviews. What? I can just create a review image and feature it in my email. TrustPilot is a thing, and it beats you any day, any time. Their reps reach out to you to convince you how awesome their other "products" are, while they're absolute garbage.
Then the data platform and what not. Klaviyo claims to be a data platform, but you can't look the stats 6 months back in the Analytics section.
Lastly, the platform can be slow. I'm on an M4 Macbook, but it gets so slow.
Klaviyo is lucky to be where they're at, because the competition is even worse. But one day it will fall down spectacularly, and I can't wait to see it.
Klaviyo + Impact Radius: How Affiliates Lose Money Under Hidden Rules
I joined the Klaviyo affiliate program through Impact Radius expecting professionalism and fair treatment, but what I experienced was nothing but scam, cheating, and non-transparency. The published affiliate terms say commissions are earned after 30 days if the customer remains active, but in reality Klaviyo applies hidden rules — only paying on the second month and calculating commission from the lowest subscription amount. None of this was mentioned in the terms I accepted. They reversed my valid conversions without proof, leaving me unpaid despite my investment in ads and content. Impact Radius does nothing to protect publishers, allowing Klaviyo as a brand and advertiser to steal earnings with no accountability. This program is dishonest, unfair, and should be avoided by any serious affiliate.
Great for drip campaigns
Great for drip campaigns. We use Klaviyo for the onboarding of users - it put them in a 5-email sequence drip campaign. Additionally, we're able to use the API to put users in a separate user journey based on conditions within our site. The campaign builder is clean and straightforward. We plan on staying with them for a long time.
I never write reviews but...
I never write reviews, but please do not use Klaviyo! Not only is it a rip-off, but nobody at the company has any idea how their software works. They'll give you the run around and expect you to hire someone to fix the technical issues that their own software has. Absolutely horrible experience!
Great customer service
Great customer service. Thank you Danielle M!
What an absolutely shitty customer…
What an absolutely shitty customer service! They keep increasing their prices as customers service gets crappier by the day. You have to wait a long time to even get in contact with someone BY F... MAIL! And then they cant really do anything for you except direct you to links where you can try and figure out the problem yourself. Im currently locked out of my own f... account, because I cant receive SMS on the phone that is connected to the account and Klaviyos shitty system does not offer an alternative for me to use. So Im defacto locked out of my own f... account BY KLAVIYO, who IM PAYING MONEY EACH MONTH!!!
Klaviyo is a scam
Klaviyo is a scam. They had a rep, a Julie D. from the sales department contact us about setting up emails for our company. We had over $35k emails which cost over $800+ for just one month. I was promised an onboarding, Julie told me someone was going to call me and help me setup and show me exactly how to make the $800+ work out in my favor to a value of a possible 30x ROAS. I never received any call. I never got any reasonable order from the emails sent via Klaviyo. Total orders was less than $100. The flows barely yielded 10% of the ridiculous $800 I paid for one month. I reached out to Julie, she said she will respond but never did. I will never recommend them. We have done way better just using our shopify emails for less than $10 a month. Klaviyo is definitely a scam. They lie about how efficient their flows are but you are better off just using regular emails.
Great email service provider
Great email service provider, my recent agency onboarded me with them after moving me from mailchimp
Best Support
From $39 to over $200 a month — overnight.
⸻
Going from $39/month to over $200/month overnight due to a change in business model is unacceptable.
We send maybe two campaigns a month, yet under the new model you get charged simply for storing a profile — even if you never email them.
On top of that, there are persistent bugs with abandoned emails that we’ve tried to resolve multiple times with their so-called “support,” but without success.
Shocking support
Shocking support - long delays as the chat person seems to toggle through multiple support chats. doesn't give fully articulated instructions, comment are piecemeal which makes the whole process ineffective, annoying and overly time consuming. Do not subscribe to Klaviyo - worst tool ever.
while klaviyo has a good app epxect to pay much more than what you think you will. the billing process is obscure and it is leveraged to always go up
while klaviyo has a good app it is really difficult to manage costs. They work hard to increase subscriber numbers which is good but then it is really difficult to pare them down in time for the auto subscription charge Charges automatically go up with subscriptoins but do not go down I have yet to figuer out how they go down Also Klaviyo is the one calculating the number of customer so that is perhaps asking your customer how many pancakes did you use. as the subscriptoin fees ratchet up quickly with subscriber counts it gets expensive
Klaviyo is trash
Klaviyo is trash. They force paying customers to keep spam profiles active because they only allow you to suppress a profile (the allowance to choose to not email a profile) once every 90 days. So bots keep signing up, we keep suppressing those sign ups, only for these bots to re-sign up. When they do that, we can’t re-suppress them for THREE MONTHS. Now mind you, Klaviyo charges a subscription PER ACTIVE PROFILE. I escalated my request to surpass the 90-day restriction, and you know what they said? “wE cAnT dO tHaT!!1 pEOpLe WiLL dEaCtiVaTe pRoFiLeS bEfOrE BiLLinG dATe aNd rEaCTiVaTe tHeM aNd wE’ll LoSe MoNeY!!!111”. Awww someone think of this poor 8 BILLION DOLLAR company! They want YOU, business owner, to lose money by paying them to keep spam profiles active instead! Not them! They will actually MAKE UNDESERVING MONEY because you anre forced to keep paying for SPAM ACCOUNTS! That’s why they won’t solve your problem. They profit off of it! ABSOLUTE GARBAGE COMPANY, stay away!!!
P.S: if they respond saying you can add double opt-in, that is a botched solution that DOES NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE, and only adds obstacles for legitimate sign ups, meaning their solution WILL make your business suffer. You’ll get fewer sign ups, add one extra unnecessary hurdle to you getting new customers, AND DOESN’T STOP BOTS. Klaviyo, I hope your competitors read this and crush you out of existence.

Persistence in Dealing with a Sticky Issue, Luan stayed with the case following up with engineering to ensure they resolved the issue. It was a very tricky case which required dev teams to get invovled, and he followed up with them to make sure they finally got it solved.

Absolute pain. Hard to use, obscure language. You need to get a degree to be able to use it.
