K&N air filter for Honda Monkey 125 NO-GO

I just purchased a K&N air filter for my 2024 Honda Monkey 125. Very disappointed with the overall fabrication quality. A lot of leftover plastic extrusion that I had to manually removed around the inner portion of the filter that was loosely attached. Also a few metal wires that were sticking out of the filter so I had to remove/cut these metal wires. As for the plastic leftover from the injection process I had to clean all this up. Lose enough that they would had been sucked into the engine. (This plastic was on the inboard Side of the intake.) There is a handle/frame on this particular filter and it broke even before I installed it. I have purchased K&N in the past and had no issues. However the build quality and QC on this particular filter was really really poor. Feb. 16th 2026. I still need to run the bike with this filter , hopefully it will perform as it should. But not a happy customer especially since these filters are expensive.

DO NOT GET A K&N AIR INTAKE! it is not worth the money! you will regret it. You may have trouble with the MAS, Throttle Body, and it may mess up your cars computer even if you reset it. Waste of money. My car isn’t working properly because of it.

This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a company. I will never again overpay for an air filter that is literally 50% cheaper anywhere else compared to their official website. I spent 104€ on an air filter that costs 66 USD, and I honestly have no words for their completely unresponsive customer support.

I contacted them before the order was even processed and asked to cancel it. They ignored my request. A few days later, instead of responding, they simply sent me a notification that my order had been shipped — exactly what I asked them not to do.

I work in a company that sells products to clients as well, and when someone requests a cancellation and refund, we take it seriously and make sure we do not ship an unwanted product. The fact that they refused to acknowledge my request is extremely unprofessional.

When the package finally arrived at my local post office, the box was opened, unsealed, and damaged. Nothing was missing, but it doesn’t change the fact that the condition of the packaging made the whole situation feel even more careless and disappointing.

Product value: 1/10
Professionalism of the company: 1/10

Absolutely not worth it. Stay away — you can buy two identical filters elsewhere for the price of one on their website.

The Company say they have no hassle warranty

The Company say they have warranties on their product. I purchased my cold air intake system on Amazon four years ago. I have a leak on the pipe. When I contacted Amazon. They said they couldn’t help me. I asked them to reach out to the vendor for me. They said they couldn’t reach out to the vendor for me. They said I had to do it all on my own.
I sent K and N an email. They never responded. I finally called their numbers and then they finally sent me an email that I could respond to with all my information after responding with all my information. They’re no hassle warranty. They told me didn’t cover my vehicle.
I’m the end user, I bought the item on Amazon I entered my vehicle information, and it says it’s a perfect fit for my vehicle. And now the filter, Company, K and N says that that system that Perfectly Inside. My engine wasn’t made for my vehicle.

Scam

Marketing scam. Doesn’t increase hp or does anything. I lost hp car became sluggish. Rough idle followed. Oil became almost black quickly. If you have a stock car don’t buy this because you can’t fit more air in the combustion chamber just like no matter how much air is in the atmosphere you can’t possibly fit more in your lungs. Every thing has maximum capacity

I called the customer service number…

I called the customer service number Wednesday 5/14/25 about 4pm and Katherine answered the line. I have never had a warranty exchange made so easy on any product I've ever had! I've used k&n products since I started driving 22 years ago and this was the first issie I've had, and because of Katherine's help, service, and professionalism, I will continue to use k&n more for the service than any other reason!

I thought this was a bad idea.

I thought this was a good recommendation from my son who works at an auto parts store, however I was wrong. It took over 3 hours to clean, dry and replace. Then air intake was wrong due to not being able to get proper specs on oil replacement. Bad idea. Not recommended.

I'm not impressed with this product

I'm not impressed with this product. I ordered the kn 63-1568 for my 21 ram 5.7 and im not getting better throttle response and my pedal is not stiff like it was before,it feels like I'm driving a charger or challenger. I have to stomp the gas to see if Im getting results, it wasn't like that beforehand. I feel like ive lost hp and if that's the case in which most likely I'm sending it back. I dont feel anymore hp or torque then I already had its kind of a bummer bc its alot hype around this product but in my opinion it kinda sucks. Overrated product!

Terrible company.

Claimed they issued a refund, but they didn’t

So I’m going to put this place on blast for stealing money. I ordered two air filters from them. Unfortunately I wrecked my car before I could even install them. So I requested a return/refund. Sent the unopened items back as per policy. They said it would take two weeks for a refund. I waited 3 weeks. Didn’t see any refund in my bank account. Called my bank and my bank also verified the same thing. Called K&N and they said they refunded my money last week. Clearly they didn’t. This place to me is a fraud. And I will put them on blast under every post until I get my money

Negative reviews are accurate

I wish I had seen these negative, but accurate reviews before ordering an intake from K & N. Please be aware that when you pay for two day air, it will actually be closer to 6-7 days as they fall back on fine print that says it can take them several days to process your order. Terrible customer service when I called.

K&N has THE absolute WORST Customer Service/Tech Support

K&N is going to lose more business than they can believe if they persist in ignoring their web site "Contact Us" messages and their tech support emails sent to the email address listed on their web site. I've sent 3 and not a single reply to any of them. And I've been a K&N customer forever. But the forever has come to an end. That's for sure.

The filter I bought, a CM1314 is a cylinder shaped filter for a 2015 Can Am Spyder. The ID of the filter had some excess rubber at the lip of the ID which must have come out of the mold that way. I took 2 photos of the area and then trimmed the excess rubber from the ID using an Exacto knife, as close as possible to where it should have been in the first place. My concern was, because it was on the inside of the filter, is it possible any additional rubber material could come off the ID and be ingested into the engine intake, which could prove disastrous.

All I wanted was K&N's assurance it would not be a problem. So I sent the first message via the "Contact Us" link on their web site. Over a week and no reply. I sent a second and third message to the tech support email address given on their web site TWICE along with the two pictures I took. Again, over a week and no response. Now isn't that terrific customer service? WRONG!

Although the K&N filter is a "lifetime" filter, be assured no matter how good K&N thinks they are, they are not going to get another cent of my money. I've been buying K&N filters for over 30 years. That's it! I'm done with them!

I hope others will read this and take it to heart. There ARE other filters out there without the K&N name attached to them.

Ordered a air filter

Ordered a air filter, stated in stock, charged my credit card. I heard nothing from them for 6 days until I email customer service and they responded we are real busy and will get your item out as soon as possible. Two days later I got a refund, no explanation, no email. I went on the website to check the item I ordered and it said out of stock. I still have heard nothing from this sorry business.

Slow, demented and poor customer service

TLDR: Sold me an item that didn't fit on my car, are now refusing a lawfully mandatory return because of a couple of scratches on a plastic cap means it is "heavily damaged and unusable"

They sold me an item that should fit on my vehicle. After it didn't fit it took 2 emails to finally respond, they asked me 3 different times for my vehicle information in the same email thread, told me that they could obviously see in the photos I have an older Volvo V40, while I have an S40 of about 10 years newer, with a different engine than the V40.
After pointing this out and telling them I have the pre-facelift model, with the only changes between pre- and post facelift being the headlights, they told me there are changes to the airbox on the facelift models (which isn't true, I know because I work as a mechanic at Volvo).

They are currently rejecting my return because there are a couple of scratches on a plastic cap after trying to fit it again on their request (they wanted photo proof it didn't fit), so according to them it is now "heavily damaged and unusable".

0/10 would not even buy a single bolt or screw here again

The website is very bad. It does not work properly.

The products are excellent, but the way of ordering them is very complicated and I think there is a general malfunction in the website. Also, during the purchase, the shipping cost is not calculated, so the order remains incomplete. The problem is that there are offers on the original website, but I cannot benefit from them due to the malfunctions on the website. I will order them through Amazon without a discount.

I bought a product on March 9th, 2024, it was a cool air intake for my chevy Colorado. a few days went by, and they emailed me saying my card failed? i tried again and of course it worked because my card never fails. its been a week now and still didn't get my product. 2 weeks later and my cool air intake comes in with the weld being upside down so im not a ble to even install it. i called them and they said they would ship me a new one and still no product it's been a month and a half. thank K&N...
