By far, one of the greatest hiking/trekking apps. Tested in various areas in the EU, no issues.

Very helpful app, especially to plan routes in areas you’re not too familiar with. The “road surface” feature is really good and super-helpful, especially if your tyres are a little sensitive (eg, road bike).

Komoot is absolutely amazing at Tracking your Position on the map and showing where you are. The hikes we did were great.

One small disadvantage is the app has a bit of a learning curve and the use/interface is sometimes a bit confusing to me

But the info that you are offered to decide wich hike is good for you is amazing.

Nice site to find new and, if necessary, modify cycling routes

I really enjoy the community vibe on Komoot, no competition nor segment heroes, juste sharing.

Great app for trails.

Great overall phone app but heavy on battery use so purchased a garmin which you can run komoot on, all was going well until an update a few months ago for both garmin and kommot and now you get no komoot map on the gsrmin.
Customer Support to try and resolve the issue has been hopeless, all I get is an email every few weeks asking if the problem still exists, not ideal as I am paying for a premium membership but can't actually use the app.

Komoot is an excellent app for exploring hiking areas. However, outside Europe, there often seem to be very few hiking routes available, or the app has difficulty finding good hiking areas.

Everywhere I end up, Komoot provides me with great hiking possibilities. Love it

Just logged in, got a modal with a request to review. Well, I still have to discover the website. 2 stars, because I really don't know if it is good, but they are asking already for a review.

I use Komoot for cycling (gravel/mountainbike tracks).
The Komoot App hides important information between flashy stuff. If you look for tours you get a lot of sidescrolling pictures and have to look for the important things like distance ans meters of climbing.

Komoot routs contain almost always parts, that are impossible to ride and parts that are just stupid. It routs you along a highway (Bundesstraße) instead along the smaller roads. Even if you are in a region with a lot of tourism/cycling. When I plan tours along the Weser river, it wants me to take bigger roads farther from the river instead of the smaller one at the river that follow the official bike path (Weserradweg).

When you are planning a tour, it wants you to click on the map to set target destination, instead of letting you search directly for it. You have to click on a search button and than enter a destination as text. This is really annoying.

I don‘t want komoot to track any of my activities, but it does it automaticly, forcing me to click away stupid dialog where I could add picture and other stuff.

The integration with Garmin devices isn‘t good. It takes the Komoot App on the device ages to load your tours via bluetooth and it gets only a little better with a wifi hotspot. The app on the Garmin is very slow, it take seconds to load even the list of routs.
