Head office insulting customers and not honouring customer care
I ordered a cake via telephone and spoke directly to what would be their head office
When I arrived to collect the cake the inscription was not neat / properly legible
The store staff decided it was okay to leave the cake and after having had spoken to them and disclosed the sensitive nature of the occasion they gave a cake on good gesture (no inscription) I offered to pay for the cake and they insisted it would be given on good gesture and wished me the best regarding the upcoming occasion.
They informed me to get a refund I would need to contact the head office and let them know to process the refund
I explained the situation to Marcela who I spoke with on both occasions
She proceeded to call the store to verify with them and informed me that I had misunderstood their gesture of good will (which I did not misunderstand as they made it clear that I would normally have to pay in store for the pick up and they could not process the refund which was for the online order) she refused to honour the refund which was promised in store and insisted that I had not understood them properly
It’s both insulting and disappointing to see how Marcela treated me and the situation
I will be returning to store to return the items and will no longer be a customer for them and will warn others of their poor service lack of regard for customer satisfaction and overall just making customers feel shit.
