Purchased two lifts from Kone both covered by maintenance agreement. Engineer called to fault warning pushed a button and reset it. Then received bill for £400 for ‘faulty telephone line’. Challenged and asked for specific details of call made to BT, Line number, BT staff spoken to and then guess what, charge cancelled. Basically someone attempting to charge me for a made up fault. How appalling is that! Just about to order another lift. Guess what looking elsewhere. I cannot tolerate this sort of behaviour from a company. They should have apologised. Still waiting.

Awful customer service and maintence.
Had to contact their head of Customer Services via LinkedIn to get a response to a complaint sent to customer services over a month ago. Passed over to Colin Drum, the area manager who took a further three months to reply with little to no research done into the complaint. Engineers report attending site, but when I double checked on our CCTV cameras, no engineer arrived - no apology or even a concern regarding this behaviour from their employee. Lots of lift companies looking for work, no need to use these jokers.

Kone elevator is one of the worst elevators. In my opinion local elevator is far better then kone elevator. I will suggest everyone that do not waste your money on kone lift.

My office is located in Coimbatore Avinashi road,Tristar Tower. Everyday we are facing issues in their service. In Tristar there are 2 lifts. For the past one and half years one lift is not at all working. Other one has problem in everyday. There are 4 floors in Tristar office. Old people, handicapped people are coming to 2nd & 4th floor to the LIC office. Due to the worst service, they suffer a lot everyday. Often they keep notice telling that sorry for the inconveniences. But they never resolve the problem. Apart from rental every month maintenance charges also paid.Its waste of money. Highly regret for their service and it is NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDABLE.

Kone Elevators has terrible service. We hired them for a job, and paid them a deposit to do it. After weeks of not showing up when they said they would,
they then wanted an additional deposit in order to start the necessary repairs. Since their service was terrible and they did not show up when promised, we asked them to cancel the contract and return our deposit .THEY REFUSED TO RETURN OUR DEPOSIT.
We hired another company to do the job for less money, and they completed it quickly and without hassle. STAY AWAY FROM KONE ELEVATOR THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

Worst possible service. The elevator installed in my facility is always down.the company keeps shifting the blame to power supply or something else. Takes weeks to make repairs. What is the point of having a lift if it takes weeks to repair it

I've lived in a brand new 75 story luxury tower in London for 4 months now. I would like to mention that in all of my years (which are numerous) I've lived in high rise buildings all over the world. I now live on the 69th floor of a building in London. For the past 4 months the three KONE lifts that service my floor have NEVER all been in operation at the same time. There is one lift mostly designated for construction workers and the other two designated to take residents to their homes from the 57th floor to the 74th floor. There has NEVER been a time when two off these lifts have been in operation at one time not to mention that once they were ALL OUT OF ORDER! On that day I had to walk 13 floors to the 56th floor four times during the day. That made a total of 52 floors to be walked! Please let's get back to Otis or Shindler for our lifts!

Without a Doubt the worst service possible. Kone sent 3 engineers on different occasions over the past 2 weeks. Yesterday the engineer worked out that the main drive unit was broken. What did the other 2 visits accomplish. After 2 weeks we still don't know when the lift will be fixed as Kone don't know when they will get a new drive unit.
Do not specify Kone on any new builds.

Got stuck for nearly 3 hours in the elevator at Bell Media Tower in Montreal, Canada. The Koné technician took so long to show up that the fire department had to be dispatched. 5 fire trucks, a dozen firemen and an ambulance were mobilized that day just because Koné wouldn't show up. And when their incompetent technician finally decided to show up, he took more than an hour to figure out the problem. The city taxpayers will foot the bill because of Koné's inability to perform its services.

I had worst experience purchasing kone lift . I took EMC for 2 years however the after sale service of kone is absolutely bad . They don't clean the cabin nor the dust in between the doors of the lift.They provide me irregular services . Also they refuse to clean the pit of the lift and asked me to hire the person for the cleaning pit . This is absolutely stupid on their part why would I call somebody else to clean pit despite the fact I have paid EMC. And why would I risk the life of other person. It very clear that they only want money In form of emc and don't do proper clean which other lifts provide.Even the senior authority do not solve your grievance.
I won't suggest anyone to buy the one .And if somebody wants to waste money then they can.

I am unable to get refund for kone lift elevator cancellation for more than a year. Pathetic company, avoid wasting our hard earned money with them. Till they get money all sweet talk after don't care.

Our eight floor building in the 16th in Paris has one Kone elevator that is less than five years old. The elevator breaks down regularly. Service takes days to arrive. Go to the Kone website -- it has to be a joke. I guess one way to promote "sustainability" is to build a horrible product that does not work and uses less electricity. Nice job--I hope your competition crushes you.

We live in a new building in Kidbrooke Village. The building is just over a year old. There are two Kone lifts installed, and they are constantly breaking down. As of now, one has been out of service almost two weeks waiting for a part to come in. Meanwhile, the other lift has broken down multiple times, meaning walking our dog ends in a climbs up 14 floors. When they do work, they vibrate and squeak awfully. But nobody is allowed to work on them except for their own engineers. I'm considering moving purely because of the unreliable Kone lifts.

Extremely bad behaviour of there staff Mr.Vivek singh based at jodhpur ...always drunk non commitment still our PG payments are due from last 2 months .... Non standard services

Without a doubt Kone is the most unscrupulous company I have I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Beware of the automatic renewal of contract. On top of a extortionate service cost they charge to come out if there is a breakdown and then quote extortionate prices for repair. If you have the work done elsewhere they then charge to come to “approve the third party work’. Can’t wait for contract to end. I was quoted over £1000 for replacement light bulbs an independent electrician quoted £120. Kone charged £500 to ‘check his work’.
