A Disastrous Christmas Dinner Experience
We prepaid for a fixed-price Christmas prefix menu at Kong in Paris but arrived a day late due to an honest scheduling error. Despite this, the supervisor was extremely resistant and rude, refusing any refund, credit, or accommodation even after we dined there anyway, spending the same amount on another meal to show loyalty. A week later, after follow-ups, they confirmed no partial refund or compensation was possible, despite their policy noting complaints should be handled via customer service.
Service throughout was horrible: staff gave misleading information in person about potential resolutions, then provided the runaround via email. The supervisor’s rudeness overshadowed the stunning rooftop views, turning what could have been a festive evening into a nightmare.
Kong’s terms clearly state special events like Christmas dinners are fully prepaid with no refunds for no-shows or cancellations, which they enforced rigidly here. While policy protects them, zero flexibility for a good-faith error and repeat business was unacceptable

Avoid Kong at all cost—gorgeous ambiance can’t save rude service, subpar food, and inflexible policies. 1/5 stars.
