Toxic plastic smell
Delivery took a long time - didn't check website but when I did, I realised it was delivered from China.
The robe looks and feels great.
BUT: The smell
I can't get over the chemical smell. When I first unpacked it, I actually put it out on my balcony because I didn't want it to stink up my flat. The next day I washed it but it still smells a little funny.
I was a bit naive about recycled plastic and did a bit more research and I can only assume it has been treated with harsh chemicals.
I'll wash it again because I can still smell the burnt plastic smell a little.
No idea if wearing this is toxic or not. But by the smell of it, it probably is.

Recycled Polyester is processed by nature; the plastic bottles must be processed before the fibres can be spun into a comfortable fabric. Despite this element of processing, the production of recycled polyester requires far fewer resources than that of new fibres and generates fewer CO2 emissions.
We believe that all clothing producers should prioritise using sustainable materials - although it is not a perfect solution to the global waste issue, it is certainly a step in the right direction.
Regarding the scent, this is the first time we have received this feedback - thank you for bringing this to our attention. We would advise washing the robe once more.
