No Door Installed!

I am extremely disappointed with my recent Kraft Maid cabinet purchase. A utility cabinet was delivered to my home without a door attached. Even more troubling, there was a factory label inside the cabinet indicating that it was knowingly shipped unfinished.

It is unacceptable for a manufacturer to ship incomplete products and rely on installers to correct factory deficiencies. In my case, the installers from The Home Depot had to resolve an issue that should never have left the Kraft Maid facility.

This practice shifts the burden onto installers and customers, causing unnecessary delays and frustration. When premium cabinetry is purchased, customers expect finished, quality-controlled products — not factory shortcuts.

I urge Kraft Maid to improve its quality control standards and stop allowing incomplete cabinets to leave the factory.

They won't sell you a replacement

They make a good product but they won't help you with support. My cutting board feel apart after 30 plus years. They sell a drawer with the board included with it. I need only the board. Kraft Maid won't sell me a board or replace my worn out board. So much for their warranty

buyer beware.!

buyer beware.!! there quality is below average. they do not do quality checks. you can get two of the same cabinets and each will be different up to thier standards. doors have seems showing, chipped from delivery and worst of all differnt colors on the same cabinets. we were told by a rep that came in house they only paint the white twice which is why its not as good as a darker color. but no reson to be different whites. Save your money go down the street buy the cabinets from china for a quarter of the price and better quality. you also have to deal with the likes of home depot who brutally messed up my order from the start to finish and they also came with the krafts maid rep to house to see what was going to be replaced and still messed it up. I got half of what they stated they would send me and the biggest need was the hood cabinet that was made so poorly that it couldnt be used. We are waiting on them to figure that issue out how they didnt order a new one for us and we are going months without being able to use a kitchen we spent 50k on. Go else where you will be glad you did

Poor warranty handling

We remodeled our kitchen using Kraftmaid cabinets in late 2015. For the last two years we have noticed the finish deteriorating on the sink base doors. We put a claim through our dealer which was rejected citing water damage. Other than an occasional splash which one would expect with a sink base, there were no significant incidents, just normal wear and tear. In talking with several kitchen designers, I have since found out that this is a common problem with sink base doors. I would have thought Kraftmaid would have found a way to mitigate the problem in their design or at least stand behind their product. My sense at this point is that their warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.

I bought Kraftmaid cabinets from Home…

I bought Kraftmaid cabinets from Home Depot in 2019. I noticed horizontal cracking in some of the lower cabinets which has progressed to peeling. I emailed Kraftmaid to open a claim. They refused saying it was “obvious water damage”. I replied by telling them I have had zero water damage in my kitchen or house for that matter. They responded that maybe it was “moisture damage” I told them my house doesn’t have a moisture problem either. I asked that they send someone out to physically look at the damage. They refused. It’s ridiculous because now after researching, this is a big problem with kraftmaid cabinets. They always try and place the blame on the consumer instead of taking responsibility for their “crapmade” cabinets and fixing their issues. Home Depot should be liable for carrying known defective products. Let this be a warning to everyone who is here researching their next cabinet purchase.

Defects on literally every cabinet

The cabinets were actual garbage. They literally had to be thrown away.

I posted pictures on social media and they refunded me the $13,000 without a fight. They sent a truck, and the drivers told me they'd been hired to pick up the
cabinets, physically destroy them, and take the destroyed cabinets to the dump. (Nice one KraftMaid, ever heard of charity? Salvage?)

This is an incredible but 100% true statement: a blind person could have made better cabinets.

They wasted countless hours of my time, and thousands of dollars in profits for themselves, why? So they can avoid looking at the product before they ship it? Do these clowns think they're saving money by not inspecting?

They actually tried to fix the paint in some places and did an insanely bad job. It's about 10 shades of blue off. Why bother.

It's obvious to anyone reading these reviews, they are not capable of making any kind of cabinets for anyone. You might as well make your own cabinets.

Go. Out. Of. Business.

Garbage cabinets

Garbage cabinets. Our builder ordered Kraft Maid Vantage cabinets and I had no idea they were a Lowes brand. Our home is a large lakeside home and these cabinets are solely garage cabinet worthy, and that’s being generous. The doors are warped and poorly assembled upon arrival, just out of the packaging. At least they went into my pantry and not my kitchen! Thank gosh!! Honestly, I’m inclined to have them removed for a refund. These are worse than junk. Buyer beware.

Kraftmaid didn't disappoint!

Just want to say THANK YOU for a wonderful job on my cannon gray deveron full panel kitchen cabinets. I'm attaching pics of what we've completed so far. I was toooooo excited to wait and leave this review. I had a wonderful experience with ordering from Lowes in Chester NY. Kellie helped and deserves a six figure salary for her kindness and expertise! The delivery arrived when promised and the drivers were very careful unloading. They have an excellent way of accounting for what's being delivered. I had NO DAMAGE of any kind to my order. They were perfect. I picked well in choosing Kraftmaid and you know what...I picked well in going with Lowes. I see many trash the "big box store" but my store was good to me and had competent workers assisting. The installer Scott was a perfectionist! I appreciated that... I thank Kraftmaid and Lowes for a great kitchen reno experience.

Kraftmaid cabinets suck

Kraftmaid is cranking their cabinets out, unfortunately quality is definitely lacking. After about 10 week I finally get my kitchen cabinets and about 35% have to be reordered do to poor finish, fish eyes in paint, rough edges and broken hinges. Of course now I have to wait another 8-10 week for the replacements to come in. Wonder who going to pay the additional 8 weeks of rent I have to fork out... You know! Maybe that’s their plan, crank out poor product knowing that some customer will just accept what they get rather then wait another 10 weeks. Great for profit Kraftmaid not an effective long term business plan. I know, when family and friends ask how the house is coming, I have no problems telling them about my Kraftmaid cabinets
