I ordered a 6ft by 8ft shed from Lakeland Homes and it took over 6 weeks to arrive thankfully, compared to other buyers who have been waiting longer. (The delivery was meant to be 21 days!). My main gripe is that the measurements turned out to be 5ft x 7ft - which means either the shed has magically shrunk or the seller is being deceitful. The measurements on the delivery pack clearly states 6ft by 8ft shed. The seller has a duty to sell the item as labelled and not obfuscate customers without consequences. I intend to write to Trading Standards about their systematic abuse of consumers’s rights based on what other reviewers have experienced as well. We need to make things official rather than let others fall victim. I am left with a skinny shed and I am not happy because it is not fit for purpose.

I ordered a three bin bin store. Delivery was 7 to 10 days. After 7 days I hadn't heard anything so did a bit of googling and my heart sank at the awful reviews. Instantly on the phone and spoke to this lovely gentleman. He really tried to reassure a cynical, slightly bad mooded customer. He sent me a link to a better bin store that I would be able to have within two days. I agreed still feeling very cynical. Two days later the bin store arrived as promised. And wow it is wonderful. All the bits and screws were there, it was easy to put up. The soft close lids work like a dream. I am genuinely really pleased with the quality and service. Just wish I had the name of the lovely gentleman who sorted it all out for me.

Ordered 8x10 shed beginning of July with expected delivery 14-21 working days, after numerous calls and false promises I finally took delivery on 10th September. This shed is poor quality, the box confirmed shed should be 8 x 10, in fact it is 7 x 9, I was promised racking in compensation for the delivery delay am still waiting.
Poor quality poor customer service avoid at all cost.

I ordered an overpriced plastic shed. At first the shed took 4 months to arrive even though the stated time is 2 months. The shed then came damaged and they do not care to resolve the issue, I have turned up to my house today and the shed is totally torn apart the roof has come away from the shed grands worth of equipment wet through and a garden full of rubbish shed parts. Luckily nobody was injured.

Ordered the Pro Grade 8ft x 12ft Premium Plastic Double Door Garden Shed - Grey/Anthracite Wood Touch Texture on 30/08/25. Shed was delivered almost 1 month later.

Delivery process was adequate. Took longer to arrive than we thought, but when we emailed about it, we did get an answer, and the shed was delivered as per reply.

They describe on their advertisement that these sheds are made from: “Virtually unbreakable 16mm Double Walled Panels for extra strength”

However….. After receiving the shed, I emptied and dismantled an old shed that it was replacing, and proceeded to open the boxes. On opening the boxes I found several of the shed panels and window furniture badly damaged, some with cracks running almost the full length of them, others with what look like heavy impact cracks, shattered almost.

One of them looks like it has been shot, or someone has stabbed a screwdriver through it.

With all this damage, the boxes they arrived in were in good shape, so they can only have been damaged before they were boxed up.

I took pictures of the damaged panels, and the boxes they arrived in, with the panels still in the boxes, and with them out, and immediately sent them to the customer service email. I asked for replacements to be sent immediately, as I had no choice but to assemble the shed as is, or several thousands of pounds worth of our property would have been damaged.

As of today, I have had no response.

This is not only terrible customer service, but odd because it’s the same email address that I corresponded with them on regarding delivery. So I know they are getting my emails.

It is literally the equivalent of them delivering faulty goods and giving me the middle finger…

On top of that.

The shed itself, in my opinion, is VERY poor quality. Despite their own description above. The entire structure is made of 16mm, what I assume to be, polycarbonate panels, they look just like opaque / coloured textured versions of the panels you might find in a greenhouse or a conservatory roof… BUT… with almost no support structure… For an 8’ x 12’ shed (real size a bit less), this seems very inadequate. Even 6’ x 6’ greenhouses have an aluminium structure underlying everything. All these sheds have, are plastic corner posts and base moulding, for the one I bought, two very thin aluminium roof trusses. The plastic panels are tongue and groove, held together by a few screws (half of them were stuck together from coating) that are, well, less than 16mm long. This seems a bit of a risk over a 12” length in my opinion?????

It seems to me the worst of both worlds, the flimsiness of your typical metal shed, and build out of very brittle, super floppy plastic panels, very unlike the usual high density polyethylene sheds that most out there are made from (that I have seen since anyway, but hey, I’m not the one selling supposedly high quality sheds to people).

I bought this shed from Lakeland because we were recently badly let down by another company, who failed to even deliver, and I believed that they had a reputation that was worth protecting.

I fear I was very wrong…..

I will be going to trading standards or whoever is the proper regulatory body if I continue to get no response and my issues are not revolved. And I will not waste my time reminding them. I would strongly suggest that that what looks like their large number of unhappy customers (after seeing the reviews here) do the same…

Very unhappy customer

Ordered a Pro Grade 8ft x 10ft shed end of May 2025, with expected delivery 14-21 days later. In mid June, was offered a shed shelf kit free of charge due to the delay in delivery. Shed was finally delivered mid August and that’s when the real problems started. Upon unpacking the contents of three rather heavy boxes and starting to build the shed, it became apparent that something wasn’t quite right. What was supposed to be a 8ft x 10ft shed was in fact more like a 7ft x 9ft shed! Checked the packaging which confirmed the 8ft x 10ft measurements, checked the invoice which confirmed the same. Checked the website and again the shed was marked up as 8ft x 10ft, shame the actual shed did not match those dimensions. Raised a compliant with LakelandHome on 26 August concerning this issue and still no response from them. I will not waste any more of my time with this company and certainly will not be purchasing anything further from them, even if it looks like a good deal. A company that claims 5 star customer service and fails to deliver even a 1 star level of service. I wish I had reviewed the feedback of other customers before making this purchase, I think I would have passed this company by.

Delivery of shed was delayed. When it finally arrived it had crucial missing parts. These took a further 4 weeks to arrive because it was explained they were difficult to pack and the person dealing with it in the parts dept forgot and they were in the corner of his office for nearly two weeks until I rang again. I was told that I would receive a complimentary shed pack with shelving and lock but that never arrived. Shed had a number of manufacturing flaws also. I would not use the company again.

Would go 0 stars if I could. After ordering a shed in the middle of June for it to be delivered in time for me and my partner to move into our new house, it never arrived. Over a month and a half later with no updates I tried contacting. I was met with the same response as others on this website that I would receive shipping updates the next week, I never did. Multiple emails ignored and multiple phone calls, I managed to get them to cancel and refund my order. However, I have been waiting almost 2 weeks for the money to appear in my account after this ‘refund’. I am now going through my credit card company as they are again ignoring my emails.

placed an order on 16/8/25 for a wheelie bin store. Expected delivery 7-10 days. After 3 weeks I contacted them and was told the contained had been delayed but was now in dock and I should receive a delivery date next week. Despite me attempting to contact them, I have had no explanation. If they did have an issue out of their control, why not contact the customers to advise. I am currently in a phone queue listening to inappropriate music and not really expecting to get through. I presume the music is to get you to hang up. I'm also queuing on their live chat !!!!

PLEASE PLEASE BY NO ACCOUNT PURCHASE HERE. I ordered my shed back in June with the view it would be delivered in 1 month. The shed took 4months to arrive. With all the back and forth with their communication team, in July I was promised a shed lock and shelves if I waited and as an apology. I accepted however what they promised hasn't turned up since. The whole experience is unprofessional. The caller music is detasteful. They answer emails at 2am -3am and haven't answered any of my calls since questioning the good gesture items. They are disgusting. I will be taking matters further. The site needs to be closed down.

I wouldn’t dream of buying anything from this company again. Poor communication, being lied too by staff, delivery dates missed. Then when it’s finally delivered the box is smashed to bits.

I strongly advise avoiding this company.
I ordered a Pro Grade shed on 7th July and, despite their quoted 14–21 working day delivery time, I have still not received the full product months later. I’ve had countless emails and phone calls with empty promises, but no resolution.

When part of the order finally arrived, it was incomplete and unusable without the missing sections. I have repeatedly asked for a delivery date and some form of compensation for the inconvenience, but I’ve been ignored.

This has been an extremely frustrating and stressful experience, and the customer service has been appalling. I am now preparing to escalate this legally. If you value your time and money, do not buy from this company.

I ordered a garden shed, size 8x12. Delivery was supposed to take up to 22 days, but they sent it after more than a month, and on top of that, they sent me the wrong size. They told me the courier didn’t pick up all the boxes from the depot, even though all three boxes had my details on them! I do not recommend this company!

Ordered a storage box, delivered broken. Complained, delivered a broken replacement. Complained again, no response.

Be warned: this company is not Lakeland! It is Lakeland Home. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!

Put an order in on 11/8/25. Sent an email a couple of weeks later and was advised delivery was 7-10 WORKING days. Well, those days have been and passed and they are not responding to any of my emails!!! Can't believe I thought this company was Lakeland, who I have had excellent experiences with. I always read Trust pilot reviews, however, MISSED THIS ONE!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

OK so feel I have to write something that will give hope to others still awaiting their orders. After weeks of concern, constant chasing and excuses for delayed delivery, the shed I'd ordered did arrive and was delivered by two professional couriers who were very helpful. Shed is up but not hugely robust.
I agree with other comments and certainly if you look into company house and other companies under directorship of the registered owner you can make your own opinions. But I certainly will not be buying anything again from this company. I'd advise others to think carefully before making any purchase.

I bought a double wheelie bin store that has a planter on top - this means that chains inside the store keep the bins angled and stop them falling out. It is a lovely product; however, it doesn't move very easily at all on a gravel drive and, despite numerous emails from me and a couple of promises of help from customer service, they have now started ignoring my requests to change the planter top to the one that lifts and is attached to the wheelie bin lid. If I'd known all this before I started, I never would have bought this product that's cost almost £400. Apparently they pride themselves on their customer service ... but I don't believe that.

No stars!!!! I so wish I had read the reviews before parting with my money. Paid over £550 for an 8 by 6 shed. Eventually arrived after nearly 2 months ( not 14 to 21 days I was promised) and my husband spent hours putting it together to find it is only 6ft 11 by 4ft 11. Even smaller than the one we already have. Want my money back but not holding out much hope. Please don't sue this company or any others associated it with. Complete criminals

Edit... I have been trying to get in touch with this company for 2 days. Emails, live chat and phone but no response. Being completely ignored

My husband saw a shed on this site & we ordered without checking reviews. Order date 29th July, was told 10/21 days delivery. After many emails, text messages & phone calls no shed in sight. One excuse was container with shed onboard was delayed in the Suez Canal! Early September still awaiting the shed. After yet another phone call to try to arrange delivery & seeing 130 bad reviews I cancelled & am awaiting my refund. AVOID!

I ordered a shed on 7th July then waited and waited, I finally got through on the phone, and was told they had trouble with the size. I was then offered a bigger shed and was told it would be 3 days, still no shed. My credit card company are now pursuing refund.
This company should not be trading.
