Good customer service
I had ordered a couple times before without issues, however this time there was a heat wave and my order arrived melted. Of course the heat wasn't their fault, but I was sad and still reached out through email. No response for over a week. I then wrote them through Facebook messenger and in a couple of hours they replied, saying that they will send me the items again! Great customer service on that part, if they fix their email system it will be perfect.
The liquorice itself is amazing, especially the regular assortment. Some of the seasonal stuff can be a hit or miss for me, although I would like to make a petition to have Hibiscus from the taste panel for sale <3.
Extremely disappointed
My criticism isn't of the products themselves. I have made a few large orders, and have previously had no problems. They even developed a special edition raspberry flavour after I lamented always missing out due to my carmine colouring allergy! It's because of this history that I'm not giving a lower rating!
The problem is that my recent order had the correct items listed on the customs declaration, yet they said the value was over €3000! My order was under $1000 Australian (about €555). Next thing you know DHL is saying I owe over $1000 in fees (more than my entire order cost including shipping). There was also some other error in the declaration that led to me still needing to pay over $100 in fees even after DHL helped me sort things out. From what DHL told me, I believe I was being labelled as a business by Lakrids for some reason? I've made orders around the same value before and never had fees, and international orders under $1000 Australian are exempt.
Thankfully DHL helped me clear up the excessive charges since I was able to prove the value of my order. However I contacted Lakrids By Bulow on the 18th and it is now the 27th and I'm yet to hear from anyone! That was a massive error and I've been a regular customer. I'm so annoyed to not even receive an apology that I will never order from them again despite how much I enjoy their products! I actually feel like the decent thing to do would have been to reimburse me for the fees I still had to pay as a result of their errors.

Poor .Bought slow crafted selection box and…
Bought slow crafted selection box and another few items but must say what I received had nothing apart from the flavour to do with liquorice . The centre is just an overly sweet sugary masse with not relation to a traditional Bulow Lakrids. Extremely disappointing and will not be ordering again!
Great product but poor customer…
Great product but poor customer service. I recently ordered a gift box for a friend. It arrived damaged and melted. I emailed the company twice and got an automatic reply saying give them 2-3 days. Still not heard back. Wonderful product but I am unlikely to order from them again.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service, I ordered £315 worth of chocolate ship to UK with tax included when I check out. However, DHL held my parcel for a few days due to £105 remaining of tax and duty. I tried to call and even email Lakrids bulow but no response at all.

Avoid: very poor customer service.
Order hadn’t been dispatched within ten days of being placed. When I queried why, I was told they didn’t have my correct address. Considering the order was for an advent calendar and time critical this was a major issue. I’d ordered in ample time for delivery by the 1st December and this excuse this is unacceptable.
When I queried what they were going to do to resolve the issue I was met by apathy, rudeness and blame shifting.
I used to be a regular customer. I no longer am.

Poor delivery experience
introduced to Lakrids by Emirates first. really love it. Ordered delivery in UK supposedly free. But they use FedEx .To ensure product could be received (largeish order 1.5 kg) I took FedEx option to rearrange their suggested delivery date/time . They then confirmed this. Product did not arrive .Indeed it has been stuck in their very local distribution centre for 4 days and could have been delivered on the stated day.. but No. - they have now rescheduled for a delivery 7 days latter !! So take acre FedEX not to be trusted.
Delicious, authentic, high-quality licorice
Simple put, this is an amazing product for anyone who loves quality licorice! I bought a container of the Crispy Carmel as a gift for my 83 year old dad. He is nearly impossible to please when it comes the licorice made nowadays. Normally I get a “thanks but please don’t buy this one again”. When he received his LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW Crispy Carmel licorice, his response: “Finally, good licorice! When are you going to order more?”
There is no higher compliment on licorice from my dad. If it pleased him, you can’t miss with this choice!
Excellent Customer Service
I ordered a selection of the the delicious Lakrids by Bülow (the salted caramel golden balls are my favourite!) Unfortunately there was a mix-up and it was delivered to the wrong address but once I contacted them to let them know that I never received my order, they resent my order and ensured the address was correct this time. Really efficient, friendly and professional customer service. I would highly recommend!

The right way to deal with your customers
Having bought some of their fantastic liquorice, I ordered some more as a gift for a friend. I received a product I didn't order by mistake so I emailed and explained. First of all I immediately received an apology, then I received the correct order and 3 days later I received another jar of their delicious liquorice as an apology for the mistake and inconvenience. They are a joy to deal with, take their customers seriously and their product is totally delicious. Astrid - a huge thank you from me - I will recommend you and your company to all who know me. Great, and speedy, delivery of 3 advent calendars which are now going to 3 different destinations in Europe, ready to be opened from the first day of advent. The quality of the advent calendar is top-notch, and can only be recommended.

Heat affected product on transit to Australia, not much you can do.
I ordered 8 different chocolate liqorices to dbe delivered to Australia. The goods were delivered with 18 days of being ordered, I had hoped earlier but a combination of Lakrids, DHD, Australian Customs and Covid resulted in it being delayed. Unfortunately, the goods were largely heat affected.
Next time I order, I will wait until I am going to Australia and order the goods to take in my luggage.
The heat was not Lakrids fault, chocolate is very hard to transport in Australia without a chiller.

Melted chocolate
Bought lakrids from Denmark, which was shipped to San Francisco. For 4 out of 7 containers the chocolate was melted and the last 3 were very shaken, so the sugar coating was ruined. This was bought as a gift, but this is not of a quality which I can use it for.
I called them and explained and got the money back.
