A table was booked here for a birthday…

A table was booked here for a birthday meal, and we were very disappointed as the table was dirty, and the food was disappointing, the prawns were very greasy and sat in oil,we also ordered the truffle fries which did not have any truffle or truffle flavour,
and seemed to be just grated with parmesan cheese and a bit of chive on top. they were very over priced for what you had, and the price was not justified for what we had,the chips were all stuck together and all went to waste, the table behind us seemed to get better service than what we had, and seemed more of a priority as they were a bigger table of people.
my son had frockels and later after leaving the restaurant came dowan with severe food posioning.
the commuincation between the kitchen and staff was not very clear, as my daughter wanted a flavoured coffee and was told that she could have it and then the server came and said it actually wasnt available so had to have an alternative.

Great lunch with friends.

Friends had travelled to meet us on holiday and I had booked us a table at the restaurant. The booking process on line was very easy.
On arrival we were greeted warmly at the entrance. The waiting staff were very good, attentive but not overbearing. We chose a number of small plates and sides. The restaurant catered very well as we had a celiac and dairy intolerance within our party. The food was superb, well cooked, well presented and tasted amazing. We also had desserts, all plates completely clean. We also chose local beverages, which were excellent. A great view while you eat and drink. Will definitely be back. Thank you to the LAN Y MOR Team

First time at Lan Y Mor…

First time at Lan Y Mor but knew that booking was going to be advisable, especially at the weekend. Fabulous setting for a restaurant with sublime views over Coppet Hall Beach. Our greeting by friendly staff was lovely as was our table. I had requested and hoped for a front window table but don't think my booking was made early enough for that. A mirrored back wall was clever enough to provide a lovely view albeit back to front. The menu was an informal affair and we were told by our lovely waitress that there were no set rules on our choices so we mixed and matched a bit of tapas style shared eating to begin with and firm choices for main. The crispy fried cockles were popular and I can see why. Delicious, as was the sourdough bread with burnt leek butter! The informality of grazing over shared dishes paired perfectly with locally sourced beer which is always nice to see. No mainstream brands here means support for local businesses. It's not often I get to see locally sourced lobster on a menu, so took full advantage and ordered a whole one. It was cooked in a style I've not tried before and the chef had been perfecting his tandoori spiced rub to ensure a unique, but not overpowering flavour burst whilst allowing the natural sweetness of the lobster to shine through. Bravo! Catch of that day was sea bass from around the coast which was light and again, full of flavour. All in all, I couldn't fault our evening and the stand out member of staff that ensured our visit was made perfect was Michelle. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we will most definitely be back!

Excellent food.

Excellent food with very friendly and helpful staff. They are able to cater to different diets as well if requested. The location is lovely with a view of the beach. Has a ramp for disabled access.
