Having only just starting to enjoy a bath (I’m a shower girl) I thought I’d treat my self to some bath bombs. Typical the first time I order something, I get scammed. Kind of.
I started to worry that a week after placing the order I hadn’t received a dispatch email so I went to my account to check the delivery status. My order wasn’t even showing in my account and the website was just a website template. No Lather Uk products or branding.
It looks like they’ve got themselves into trouble and had to close the business but not stopped taking orders. I’ve tried contacting the thieving little ***ts. Surprise surprise to no avail.
I’ll be doing a charge back through the bank and reporting to action fraud. I understand small businesses go through hardships sometimes, but a little communication goes a long way.
Took my money and company disappeared!
I placed an order (20682) on the 2nd of January on the website.
I used to order regularly (at least twice a month) when the company was on eBay with no issues but then I was disappointed when the eBay shop disappeared and started ordering from a different company.
I realised Latherup was still going with its own website so placed an order which said the orders would be shipped from January - 48 hour tracked but my order still hadn’t been dispatched a week later.
I tried to log into the website from my shopify order but when you log in it’s just showing a generic website template so you can no longer shop or view products.
I can still sign in from shopify but when I tried clicking a different link off Google on a main search it just says server not found.
No one answers the phone number or emails so they have taken my money and run!
I will be going to the bank for a charge back but it’s disgusting that a company can do this to so many people and I feel more annoyed they I supported them when they were a small eBay business and recommended them to so many people and they don’t have the courtesy to refund my order if they can’t fulfill it.
I work with autistic children and adults and the bath bombs were great for encouraging bath time which can be difficult for people who struggle with sensory issues. It added bit of fun and they often looked forward to a bath instead of dreading it, I also loved the products myself.
I hope latherup can answer to some of these reviews and explain what has happened when offer people their money back. Even if they are up and running again I won’t buy from them again though.
What a shambles!
I put in my order in October so that I had plenty of time to get them for Xmas. I had individually chosen each bath bomb to give as table presents on my Xmas Dinner table. They arrived just before Xmas and the order was wrong. I emailed them immediately to be told they couldn’t do anything until the Monday before Xmas and they definitely wouldn’t arrive before Xmas. Not an apology was offered and there was no effort to put things right for Xmas. . I would go as far as to say their responses were rude and very unhelpful. It is now 7 January and I still haven’t received what I have paid for! I am fuming, totally disappointed that I was not able to give them for Xmas and very very unhappy that I have paid for products which I have not received. I certainly won’t recommend or use this company again, which is a real shame as I have used them several times before and been so happy with their products.

I loved this company - loved being the word - but something must have happened as their service has hugely gone downhill. Looking at previous reviews and mentions on Google, i'm not the only one. Ordered on 5th Dec, advised 7 working days which took to 15th, still no dispatch email or code as of yet. Disappointed as these were xmas gifts for my family members. I've emailed with no response, whatsapped and got a message saying would look into then nothing but silence. The review replies on Google are really unprofessional as well, which isn't or wasn't their usual standard.
Shocking
Shocking. Something must have happened with this company. I’ve used it so many times previously. However, I placed an order, 2 Dec 25, which hasn’t been dispatched. Contacted them twice and have been ignored. I have now contacted CAB to report to Trafibg Standards. Stay Clear.

Please avoid this company. Never received any bath bombs, they didn’t give my money back. Tired to dispute and get a refund with my bank, which they have now challenged! Please don’t waste your time and money, never experienced such shocking customer service

Sent 2 wrong items can’t help until returned not back till 5th January, did t reply to email phone number dead, wished I had ordered from different reliable company! Avoid at all cost
Slow and bad customer service
Ordered and paid on 27th November still haven’t received the item and they have blanked all emails and attempts to contact them and the phone number is dead even the chat on the website gets ignored. Shame. Have ordered from these in past and products have been good but customer service is terrible. I have instructed my bank to try and get a refund as I still haven’t received the products I have paid for.

If I could give zero stars I would. I've bought from this company multiple times over the years and always been happy. Placed an order on 15th November. Got an email saying it was dispatched on 3rd Dec which is well over the 3-5 days stated online. But okay I thought, it's Christmas. It's fine. Tracking number never updated, royal mail never received the item into their network, the items were never sent. Contacted multiple times via social media, email and WhatsApp. Company phone number is disconnected. No response ever received. I'm quite a reasonable person, an email letting me know there's delays, or been a mix up and would resend then fair enough. But nothing. £40 order never received. No contact at all from the company. Had to do a charge back via my bank. No idea what's happened to this company but they really shouldn't be taking orders they can't fulfill. Id recommend avoiding this company until they can sort it out, fulfill orders and actually have some lines of communication with their customers.

Order never dispatched, I sent numerous emails with no response from the company. Their phone number is out of service. If they can't dispatch on time maybe they should contact their customers instead of ignoring them. It may improve their ratings then. Update, still no contact from the company had to do a charge back through the bank.

I would give zero if i could so one star it has to be, customers services non existent, i ordered over a month ago and still not arrived, no tracking details given or anything, ive even got all screenshots as i went through my bank to get money back and they are disputing my claims ive hot enough evidence of everything even serverl emails and the contact number doesnt work tried to ring them multiple times texts and WhatsApp not going through dont waste your money ladies
Terrible Customer Service
Ordered on 12th November, website states 5-7 working days despatch. Contacted company and eventually received a reply stating that despatch time is actually 7-10 working days. I waited and contacted them again and just got fobbed off and now my messages are being ignored. Absolutely shocking customer service. No idea what the products are like because I haven't received them.

No products received no responses to e-mails
Have ordered Christmas bath bombs on 31 October 2025. On the website it suggested dispatch time of 3 days. Have not received the prodict but decided to wait as considered there may be delays as it is a Christmas product. Order still showing placed so attempted to contact the company via e-mail on 13 November and 18 November. No responses received to e-mails. No idea what is happening to the order. Have previously ordered from this company and had no issues with good products received. Really disappointed this time and will have to commence retrieving the payment via the credit card as no products received and no responses to e-mails. Very poor experience.
Update - items have been received on 29 November. There was no response from the company to my previous e-mail. Very poor
Long delivery/wrong order/broken items/ no customer service
Delivery took a month to arrive not the 3-5 business days stated I received smashed bath bombs and the wrong item. The customer service has been appalling long responses and now ignored I was told a replacement had been arranged but this was a lie! Avoid this company it’s a real shame clearly choosing a small business was a mistake on this occasion save your money, there’s no support if you need any customer service help. The bath bombs should have been bubble wrapped to avoid smashing in postage.
Wrong items, no response
Long dispatch time, incorrect items received, and no responses from customer service. I emailed 6 business days after placing my order to find out when it would be dispatched. No response. When I finally received the order, several of the items were incorrect. I emailed again. No response. I understand that certain items may be unavailable at the time of ordering, but the company should reach out to see if substitutes are acceptable to me, since I was not happy with the scents they sent. It’s a shame because the products are quite nice and I would absolutely have ordered again were it not for the unreliable and unresponsive customer service.
