My lawhive experience
From the first phone call I was treated with respect and had everything explained to me without any pressure to proceed with the service offered . When I decided to move forward Paulette instilled confidence in me and what seemed a daunting challenge filling out forms etc in a way acceptable to the court system , were explained and worded by herself to meet these requirements. Whenever I asked a question on the portal either she or Char Lee were quick to respond which ment I felt well looked after and within the the time structure everything had been submitted and the financial consent order had being approved by the court ready for the Final Order to be applied for . I would definitely not recommend…
I would strongly and unequivocally advise against using Lawhive.
Our family property sale completed on 22 May, with a significant sum transferred into their client account on completion. Despite this, the firm unreasonably withheld the sale proceeds for 26 days, causing avoidable and wholly unnecessary delay.
All relevant documentation was provided well in advance of completion. There was no justification for issues being raised only after completion, yet that is exactly what happened. This led to a completely avoidable situation involving prolonged uncertainty, distress, inconvenience, and financial loss, including lost investment opportunity.
The handling of this matter reflects a clear breakdown in process and coordination between the legal team and compliance function. Issues that should have been identified and resolved before completion were instead surfaced too late, after funds were already received.
The standard of communication throughout was unacceptable. Calls were routinely ignored, and emails frequently required repeated chasing before any response was received. Updates were not provided proactively at any stage. For what should have been a straightforward property transaction, the service was disorganised, slow, and poorly managed from start to finish.
Overall, this experience fell far below any reasonable standard expected of a legal service handling high-value client funds. I would not recommend this firm under any circumstances and we are now escalating a formal complaint.

There was a clear breakdown in coordination between our legal and compliance functions, which led to an administrative silo, slow response times, and a total lack of proactive updates. These issues should have been identified and settled prior to completion, and we take full responsibility for the avoidable delays this caused.
To provide some context, the retention of funds was due to mandatory security checks and strict regulatory compliance guidelines regarding documentation and account verification. While these risk-management protocols themselves were necessary and appropriate to safely secure and release high-value client funds, we deeply regret that they were surfaced so late in the process.
As noted in our formal private response, we have offered compensation which we hope brings a meaningful settlement towards addressing the impact of our service failings.
Thank you for bringing these internal gaps to our attention so we can actively work to improve our processes. We sincerely wish you and your family the very best moving forward.
