Trapped by dark UX and terrible support

I tried to cancel my LeadRocks membership well before the renewal date—sent a message 20 days in advance via their chat system. I received no email or notification that they’d replied, just a hidden message in the browser chat a day later, which I obviously missed.

On the day my subscription renewed, I messaged again and explained I’d already requested cancellation weeks earlier. What followed was a slow, frustrating back-and-forth with no real resolution—and no refund for the month they wrongly charged me.

This has been the worst customer experience I’ve had with any software product. It feels like dark UX deliberately designed to trap users into recurring payments. A shame, because the product itself had promise—but I’ll never go near it again.

Good Tool, But the Exit Fee Feels Like a Trapdoor

Gotta say, Leadrocks actually worked well for what it does — clean UI, decent results, no major complaints on the platform itself. But once I decided to cancel? Whole different vibe.

Turns out, if you have any unused credits (even ones that were auto-purchased), don’t expect a refund. I asked support if there was any flexibility, and they just kept pointing me back to their refund policy like a GPS stuck on a loop. “In accordance with our policy…” Cool. Very human.

It started feeling less like a SaaS company and more like a gym membership from the early 2000s. You can check in, but good luck checking out without losing some cash on the way out.

If you’re thinking about using it — just be super clear on their refund and billing policies before giving them your card. The tool’s solid, but the customer experience around canceling? Feels a little scam-adjacent.

you get charged for 1000 contacts and get 145

you get charged for 1000 contacts. 800 have email addresses. When you want to send a campaign, you get blocked for having too many hard bounces.
Then you clean the list. Result:
145 deliverable contacts
174 Undeliverable
224 Risky
11 unknown
139 Duplicates

This is a very poor performance, can't recommend LeadRocks.

Very high value for money, I reccomend it

The UI is a little bit spartan but the tool works great. Unlike other similar tools (e.g. FTL) which has embarassing e-mail quality, the e-mail addresses I got from Lead Rocks, once processed through e-mail validation tools, has always given me very good scores and so the deliverability of the e-mails is optimal. Very great value for money

Great Volume Lead Gen Platform

This is a great tool for lead gen by the volume. Some may question quality over quantity while using LeadRocks.

This is still a fairly new lead gen platform so there is still a ton of runway for growth. Definitely worth a look if your in the market for a lead-gen platform.
