Unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable recommending this service

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with this service. I ordered the plant box for 70 EUR for a friends bday. We agreed on the postponed delivery date (Saturday) and everything was good, they had more than a week for the organization. The delivery address was organized directly to my friend's house. The day before delivery I get a message from the service that plants will be delivered tomorrow (Saturday )and I’ll get the tracking code later. But I didn’t get a tracking code that day or any other day. Parcel also was not delivered on Saturday. When I contacted the company they had zero information about my delivery and had to ask post nl about it. It seems strange to me that they give their plants to the post without any tracking information, I was sure that sending gets the tracking code the minute the post gets it.
On Monday I got a message from the company that post nl mixed up dates and the delivery will be on Tuesday, but nothing happened on Tuesday. So I asked for a refund because this situation is not under control. Unfortunately, we have not agreed on the refund yet.
Why I asked for a refund:
I have zero proof that the box was sent,
Even if plants were sent, I don’t believe they might be in good condition after such bad delivery,
I don’t see any activity from the company to solve this situation as soon as possible.
As it was a gift I am especially sad about this situation. I asked my friend to wait 2 times for nothing and probably if the plans come one day they will be in bad condition, so she will have to organize the sending back to the company. What a terrible gift it is!
I understand that company might be a victim of terrible post nl service, but this is the company responsible, not the customer.
I’m very sad and disappointed about everything that happened.

UPDATE:
My friend finally got her present after 5 days of delay. The plants were fine, which was a good surprise. The plants are in good shape and look nice as I can see from the pictures. But I still cannot say that I enjoyed the way of solving this sensitive problem.
I change the rating to 3 stars from 1.

Was sent Stromanthe Magicstar instead of Stromanthe Triostar

Have ordered 3 plants including Stromanthe Triostar
but instead of Stromanthe Triostar I was sent Magicstar. It was already a red flag. Reading online I realised that it was a common case that sellers sell Magicstar as Stromanthe Triostar, as it is a cheaper plant. Also out of 3 plants only this plant had no name tag when it arrived... I contacted the shop and Diana was super quick offering a voucher as a sorry. But problems were not over - I cannot use this voucher as the minimum order applies (30 EUR) and I have to pay a delivery fee of 6 EUR one more time! So basically it is like saying: 'Oh we are sorry, here is your free present but to get it you need to pay us another 16 EUR'. So my overall result: a wrong plant and I need to pay another 16 EUR to get a correct one - really bad experience!

Thank you for the review.

I'd like to give a bit of background info on this situation. Normally, if we send the wrong item we would offer a refund or a replacement.

The order came from a giftcard. We cannot exchange giftcards for cash so it wasn't possible to physically give money back to the buyer. We could only put the money back on the giftcard.

At this time it was not possible to replace the plant - the grower sent us the wrong Stromanthe and they couldn't guarantee the next shipment would be a Triostar so we had to find a new grower.

Now (about 9 months later) we have the Triostar in stock again but due to increased logistics prices we have had to change our shipping pricing and packaging. We now charge 5.95 for shipping to Germany (it used to be free 9 months ago). The 5.95 only covers part of our costs so there is a minimum order value for international orders to ensure we're not losing money with the additional shipping costs + packaging.

Hope this clarifies the situation a bit from our perspective.

Perfect

Perfect! Nice plants, quick and great service. I ordered the wrong plant, and got a refund immediately. After that I immediately ordered a different plant. Very happy with the great service. Definitely ordering more plants from leafy-life.com in the future, I'm a huge fan!

Great service even though DPD messed up!

Even though DPD really messed up, Diana's service was great! She responded fast and went through a lot of trouble to get the plants to me (she had to send them three times, twice with DPD and the third time with PostNL). Really happy with the plants now they've finally arrived!

AMAZING! <3

I am very happy with my order, plants are beautiful and healthy, shipping was super fast and I loved personalised, hand-written note! <3 The website works perfectly, I really appritiated the fact, that there are few different plant-boxes to choose from and finding right one that is safe for my cats couldn't be easier! Would deffinitely reccomend, will deffinitely come back for more!

Very good

Everything went well: website, order, delivery, packaging. Also I didn't need to make an account, but could just order.
It's very convenient you can buy a fitting outer pot as well and I love the preview on the website.
Delivery was fast and I like the little stickers and card that came with it. Nice personal touch.

I love my new roommates!

The plants arrived nicely packaged with protective paper around it but thankfully no plastic. Some were a tiny bit damaged, like some bent leaves, but this can be due to the transport. There was a nice card and some cute stickers in the package as well, which I loved. The plants are doing well and getting some new leaves. The instructions on the website are clear and easy for beginners. I already gave all of them silly names and places in my new apartment, which looks much livelier now. An overall very pleasant experience!

Maranta

I ordered a Maranta and I was so happy with it. The delivery was perfect. No damage to the plant whatsoever. It is still alive and healthy. Would definitely order from here soon.

Great job!

Cute and safely packed up plants, quick shipping! The customer service is very friendly and professional. I have already ordered 3 times here, first time there was some trouble with the delivery (local DPD issues in Berlin), so the plant spent 6 days in a box, nevertheless thanks to Dianas tips it survived and is thriving at the moment. Other 2 orders arrived trouble-free in good condition.
Also love the personal touch with the hand-written note and the amazing plant-stickers.

Healthy plants, quick shipping

I had a great experience purchasing from this shop. First, I love the questionnaire and that there's a category for pet-friendly plants. This made it really easy to filter quickly. Shipping was super fast and the plants were packed really well and had no damage from transport. They looked happy and healthy and still do now, two weeks later. I have no complaints :)

All fine

A very nice and fast responding seller. Even with some issues at logistics - Diana sent a refund in form of new Baby plants, gave me tips for the plants and really seemed to care about having a nice and helpful customer service. Would recommend her business any time.

Ficus Elastica Belize

The delivery was very fast and came with a cute handwritten postcard. Made me definetly smile! I give you only 4 stars instead of 5 because the soil was way too dry and I had to repot immediately.

Hi Nadine, great to hear your Ficus arrived safely!

I give the plants some water before I ship them out but of course they can get quite dry during transit. Just a tip for the future, I'd recommend giving the plants a good shower (room temp water) when they arrive. This washes off any dust/debris off the leaves and deeply hydrates the soil so it loosens up. Repotting immeditaely can cause extra stress to the plant - it's already adapting to a new environment so too many changes at once can shock it.
