I wouldn't go back
Booked a silent appointment - it was so weird because she spoke throughout the entire appointment. I only travelled all the way to chertsey because it's so hard to find a hairdressers that have silent appointments - i dont want to talk to somebody I don't know and for them to talk about anything and everything when its my only chance to unwind.
Also I had one of those treatments that I was told should last between 4-6 weeks. It didn't even last one wash (similar to another review I have read on here) I couldn't believe it given how expensive it was.
Great cut and blow dry
Great cut and blow dry. I would definitely recommend Leah for your stylist!
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience at Leah Durrant Salon, Chertsey, and I would not recommend this salon to anyone.
I went in for a keratin treatment after being clearly told that the results would last around 6 weeks. I was also strongly encouraged to buy the salon’s own brand shampoo and conditioner, with the reassurance that using these products was essential for the treatment to last. I trusted their advice and purchased them.
Unfortunately, after the first wash, the treatment completely disappeared and my hair went straight back to how it was before. The results did not even last one day, let alone six weeks. Despite following all aftercare instructions and using the products they insisted I buy, there was absolutely no improvement.
I returned to the salon to request a refund. The director, Leah, was not present but later called me. During the call, I calmly explained that I was unhappy with the service and no longer trusted the treatment, which is why I did not want a redo. I believe this is a reasonable response when a service has completely failed the first time.
Instead of listening or offering a fair solution, I was told that a refund was not possible and that my only option was to redo the treatment. When I said I did not trust the service anymore, Leah accused me and my husband of being rude, which is completely untrue. We spoke calmly and respectfully to both the staff in the salon and during the phone call.
The most shocking part was that Leah hung up the call without giving a proper explanation or resolution, which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially for a high-priced treatment.
Being blamed and labelled as rude simply for expressing dissatisfaction is unfair and unprofessional. Customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or dismissed for asking for accountability when a service does not deliver what was promised.
Overall, this experience felt very misleading and left me feeling upset, disappointed, and ignored. I have wasted a significant amount of money on a treatment and products that did not work at all, and the way the situation was handled made it even worse.
❌ Poor results
❌ Refusal to refund
❌ Pressure to buy products
❌ Defensive and dismissive attitude
❌ Very poor customer service
I would not return and would not recommend this salon to anyone.

Thankyou Leah, you're very good at cutting, and so quick, best hairdresser I've found in many years. X
Not what I asked for
The salon its self looks lovely, the staff not overly welcoming. However I booked over a month in advance for my aunts wedding I booked two appointments, one hair up for me and a blow for my mum. I called back same day just to checked the booking was correct this was confirmed. When I arrived the stylist thought I was having a blow dry when I said no hair up she said the receptionist must have taken the booking wrong, but insinuated through my appointment that I’d booked wrong! I hadn’t, the booking was taken wrong. The problem came when I showed the stylist the up do I wanted to be told that she’d done this before and a few times.. I thought great! The photo id shown her was loose pretty up style rose bun with loose curled fridge and a few loose curl coming from the bun. To say the stylist was not prepared is an understatement. The first red flag is the white doughnut used, I have dark dark brown hair, I assume this is because the booking was taken wrong. The stylist then tells me this is an “advanced” hair style and that she’s not done this before as you have to take courses in this, contradicting what she first told me! I did not have high hopes and I was right too. It looked awful the bun was tight and a back combed mess with tight ringlet curls for the fringe and chunks of curls coming of the back combed mess of a bun. I wish the stylist had said she can’t do up do’s and I would have settled for blow dry. I wish I’d addressed the issue in the salon but I was upset and just wanted to leave, Instead I paid £45 to go back to the hotel take this mess out, spent 30 mins trying to get the backcomb out and wash my hair and style myself all before the wedding. I also tried to find a email to be able to address this directly to salon however I wasn’t able too. So here I am! Maybe triple check your booking, and make sure the stylist you have can style your hair the way you want before sitting in the chair

Fantastic salon in the heart of Chertsey
I've been a very happy customer of Leah Durrant's for many years and seen different stylists. They have expanded and now have two salons, which are clean and modern inside. Currently Sophie looks after my hair and has taken time to listen and provide suggestions on colour and cut as well as how to care of my hair after my visit. Highly recommend!

Had a really good experience with the Leah durrant hair salon. Sophie done a really good job on my colour and done exactly what I asked for. Had a lovely massage at the basin. Really impressed with this salon. Highly skilled and talented really recommended.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience at Leah durrants. The stylist sat me down and listened to exactly what I wanted. My hair feels and looks amazing. I would definitely recommend and now wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you girls xx
Wouldn't recommend
Booked a massage for my husband as a voucher for Christmas last year. Within a month Leah Durrant beauty was shut down. I was refused a refund, and Leah herself sent a somewhat unhelpful and direct email.
I eventually booked my daughter in for a cut 2 weeks ago just to use this voucher up. We left with £6 credit on the voucher that they wouldn't refund.
Daughter noticed fring/bangs were uneven when we got home.
Booked with Federico Hair in Chertsey who we always use for our hair for them to check my daughters cut as she was do unhappy with it. They showed us how uneven the whole hair cut was. It was shocking. Really bad.
So we are now getting it put right.
Leah Durrant staff were very grumpy, customer service was appalling.
The only person who had any presence was the trainee who made my coffee.
Would not recommend. Pricey.
Booked this salon online as it sounded…Neve Again Would I Go To This Hair Salon
Booked this salon online as it sounded really good as this hair cut was a gift for my wedding anniversary by my husband. Sophia was my stylist I was shown to my seat to be told there wasn't time to do the service I had booked although disappointed Sophia said she could cut I had booked half head hilights with cut and blow dry at £113. I showed her 3 different hair styles she then shaved my hair and went to another client came back to my hair hacked at it then dryed it saying I don't know how they did the front of hair . The staff really are not professional and neither is lead. I asked for a refund of what I had paid for cut and blow dry as they didn't book enough time for hilights. Leah said they don't give refunds but I could go back for them to sort out . No thanks not after shaving and hacking my hair off. This salon certainly doesn't live up to it's website. NEVER WOULD I STEP BACK INTO THIS SALON.I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISSAPOINTED WITH MY HAIR.
Rude and unwelcoming staff - Don't spend money here
As a family we have been going to Leah Durrant on and off for a few years now. We live locally but even when I din't I used to come back. However in the last year they have become so rude. My mum rarely treats herself to her hair being done so when she is paying over £150 you would expect better treatment. The lady that styled her hair was rude, mean, really harsh with the handling of her hair and overall it was an awful experience. In my opinion Leah Durrant is charging far too much for girls that are rude and up themselves.
One very happy client!!
What a lovely lady Nicole is - a real credit to Leah Durrant! Right from the start, she made me feel at ease and welcome. Her interpersonal skills were a breath of fresh air and I felt like I had known her for years! On top of this, she was fantastic and clearly very good at her job. I am delighted with my waxing result. Thank you, thank you, thank you - I shall be highly recommending!
A very happy client …
Absolutely fantastic makeover I had yesterday with Rebecca. Absolutely love my new hair colour and cut. The before and after pictures are amazing. Thank you so much!
