Great to deal, good customer service

The person helping me was very knowledgeable and the paperwork was straightforward I was able to get what was promised and I believe that the price while high for comparison was worth it isln the long term

In January of 2023 I decided to move my full 403B account into a precious metals IRA as I could see what was coming. I decided on Lear, I now realize for no other reason then being the best sales pitch. I was not informed and I have stressed about that everyday since moving my funds.

Lear talked me into numismatic coins for multiple reasons including tax benefits when I withdraw the funds. I was trustworthy and purchased the recommended coins.

No attachments are allowed... Sold American Eagles for $110 and Bear and Cub for $80.

You can see, they classified the Polar Bear & Cub as "numismatic", which they are not. The spot price of silver on this day was $24.09, you can see I was robbed.

With Silver hitting $103.00 on Jan 23rd I asked Lear for an evaluation. This is what they came up with [I cannot add second attachment - my statement shows that they would liquidate all silver at $87 an ounce].

They told me up front that they have a 9% upcharge but with my quantity they would only charge 7%. Given those numbers, if I bought bullion coins my price per coin would have been $25.78 and for the amount I put into silver I would have had 9581 oz of silver. Today's value would be $986843 for silver plus the gold values listed above.

I read about a settlement with Lear for these practices in NY and in CA. What about us that do not live in those states.

If a Lawyer reads this and can help I would happily pay a large portion of anything they can recoup for me. I am sick to my stomach.

Left a message on Monday 01/19/2026. to follow up on a conversation on 01/16/26, with Sam D. It is now Friday 01/23/2026. No response. Have had a precious metals IRA from Lear for 17 years. We have significant holdings, and we cannot get a call back? Don't want one now. They have been fined 6 million dollars, filed for bankruptcy, can no longer do business in NY due to deceptive practices. In my opinion go elsewhere. You will fair much better.
Update today Febuary 9th. No additional response from Lear Capitol. No call, no email. Just an AI generated response. We will be in touch.

The account rep was extremely thorough and would not let me proceed until I had full understanding of all the options.
