Community health has become the greatest pillar in health. knowledge and skills make it easy to serve the people better. To accomplish this one need to update his knowledge every now and then, Teach to Reach have made it easy for me to gain more knowledge especially on malaria prevention and control as well as immunisation.

My collegues from my company and I participated in the Teach to reach 10. The experience has not left us the same but has now changed my company branding. Initially we used to handle health and climate to a small extent. We did not know that as Health care service providers we have a very big role to play in the communities we serve in terms of using climate change toilered solutions to handle people's health and well-being. Much as we have always been in different spaces handling health and climate change, we had not understood the integral properly. Teach to Reach 10 brought it out well, we can not better understand it than we did in the Teach to Reach sessions. My company is now branded as a a climate change toilered solution health, wellbeing service provider in the grassroot communities. Thank you Teach to Reach and Gevena Learning Foundation.

Teach to Reach (Geneva Learning Foundation) has been a platform that spearheads peer learning in the Immunization space worldwide. I am particularly thrilled about the last edition, T2R 10, which brought together thousands of health workers worldwide to enable us to share experiences in how we work. The beauty of the event was the variety of platforms available for the learning, from the plenary sessions, networking, partner show case etc. To me, the networking sessions where we met one-on-one with other people was most innovative and productive.
I shared experience with 7 people from various backgrounds, different countries and from NGOs and Government. We exchanged ideas on the effects of flood as an outcome of climate change leading to issues like acid rain, missed opportunities for immunization due to access, and the effect on medical records due to inadequate home medical records care. Health issues such as Dengue fever as an NTD and Malaria fever, HIV / AIDS dropout was also discussed.
I applied the knowledge gained from the T2R particularly the effects of flood to mentoring health care workers to treat caregivers who cannot produce child health cards with compassion because they may have been destroyed by floods.
T2R has helped me to evaluate the situation at the facility based on challenges, choice and action to be taken. Hearing from others during T2R I realize that motivating the staff is very important. There is a lot of prospect for the health workers in peer learning during T2R so, I would gladly recommend it to my mentees and colleagues

the many life experiences that were shared made it really relatable.

TTR 10 was a great opportunity to listen and learn from committed health workers across the globe of Africa as they shared their experiences,challenges and strategies used in the execution of their duties and responsibilities. I was also thrilled to connect with one of my old students. We shared our work experiences and suggested solutions for current work challenges and general experiences relating to healthcare. I particularly shared my recent experience with resistant malaria and he attested to the fact that it was becoming a common experience.

What makes this experience great is the innovative strategy of bringing frontline workers through this collaborative to engage, share, learn and reflect on their experiences real-time. It is a game changer for working beyond borders that is motivating!

Lessons from a wide range of colleagues across the globe.

The areas where I was lagging behind, interms of indicator improvement, I am now doing well all because of Teach to Reach.
The company is doing well to bring together different health practitioners to share and learn ideas and strategies to improve service provision.

Wow, experience, knowledge and mentorship I have gotten from my interactions with other relevant professionals have been pivotal to my career development.

I am very glad the team gave me a great sense of belonging to the program. I felt, I was the one going to present during the program. I took time to answer my questions and followed up on others too.
The success of the program was all due to making we the participants part of it. I am very grateful to meet members and learn from seasoned professionals. Thank you for giving us

What made my experience to great at The General Learning Foundation on Teach to reach 10. Is all about get new experience and methodology on given vaccine to children at rural communities. Secondly, Meeting and connecting with different health professional from different countries with great experience. Teach to reach is an avenue to learn, relearn and be expose more about immunization as health workers in the field or CSO that educate people about immunization.

What made my experience great was that I learnt to work as a team, I also learnt resiliency, I was able to stand out as a team leader in my organisation.
The organisation trained me a way of tackling with challenges and how to stand out. I was able to learn from my colleagues throughout the world. Thanks the chairman of this organisation Dr Reda and Charlotte Mbuh. I will be forever grateful to you and organisation for the exposure and experience gained.

Teach-To-Reach 10 provided a global platform where health care providers share their experiences and challenges with each other. They also share best practices to overcome problems faced
The moderators were very accommodating and respectful.They accept contributors views and make necessary corrections politely.
The contributors were mostly concise with their contributions.
I gave 5 stars 🌟 for great organisation and orderliness of the program.

I had opportunity to learn and share professional ideas and opinions from colleagues all over the world. It's a great platform for health workers.

What’s the most useful thing you learned at Teach to Reach? How are you using it in your work?

The most useful thing I learned at Teach to Reach was effective communication techniques for public health education. I'm using these techniques in my work by delivering clear, concise, and engaging health messages to patients and the community, which has improved understanding and compliance with health guidelines.

Can you tell us a story about how Teach to Reach helped you make things better for people’s health in your community?

After completing Teach to Reach, I organized a community health workshop focusing on preventative care and hygiene. Using the interactive and participatory methods I learned, I engaged the community in discussions and activities that highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups and proper hygiene practices. This initiative led to an increase in community health screenings and a noticeable improvement in public hygiene, reducing the incidence of common infections.

How has learning with other people in Teach to Reach changed the way you work with others?

Learning with others in Teach to Reach has significantly enhanced my collaboration skills. I've learned to value diverse perspectives and approaches, which has improved teamwork in my workplace. I now actively seek input from colleagues and community members, fostering a more inclusive and effective approach to public health initiatives.

What’s different about how you see your job or future after Teach to Reach?

After Teach to Reach, I see my job not just as a healthcare provider but as a community educator and advocate. I am more committed to empowering individuals with knowledge and resources to take control of their health. This perspective has motivated me to pursue further education and training in public health, with the aim of making a broader impact.

It provides a supportive community of like-minded professionals, opportunities for personal and professional growth, and the tools to effectively communicate and engage with diverse populations. What made my experience great was the way I was supported during HPV vaccination awareness,which I took to disabled colony in FCT Abuja on 18th of September 2023. I was supported with IEC materials and attached with a personnel from DCL,this made my job easier and I was able to get a good vaccine champion whom the chief himself recommended.
