After many emails, Leigh invited me to give a review of my experience ( here goes).
So I needed a car with a built in SAT NAV for work, by the time I got the car home I realised I required a working smart phone and it wasn’t build in. The stop and start NEVER worked, again tried to fob me of suggesting it needs a good drive ( I’ve had many cars and the stop start always worked. Upon recent inspection the battery terminal was not shut down properly,this could have caused sparking while driving. The battery was also low.
The garage refused under consumer’s right act to give me back a full refund, due to the above and we have argued constantly for around 3 weeks.
Can I remind people the reviews are not verified on this site, don’t always believe what you see.

NO the car was advertised with SAT NAV- it did not say you needed smart phone to access!
The STOP START did not work, how would I know this? It took me realising this on my way home!
Like YOU I can’t just nip back to Southend ( an hour drive) when I work!
You mention the i phone, I requested this apparent new I phone gets posted to me, YOU IGNORED MY REQUEST, now 3 weeks.
Under the bonnet as mentioned was faulty, yes I have recorded witness.
The battery is rubbish- AGAIN, I purchased the car in good faith based on all the outstanding reviews that your company could be trusted- it appears not.
If Cars was sold as described then people wouldn’t be under pressure to take a car back or get the car rectified would they.

Unfortunately as you refuse to bring the car back to us to inspect your battery for you we are unable to assist you any further, even though this has been offered on at least 6 occasions. For further clarity for customers potentially reading this, even though the vehicle was clearly advertised as having Apple Car Play / Android Auto and therefore sat nav ready, you were able to asses the vehicle prior to purchase and raised no concerns with your sales advisor that this was a major purchasing factor in terms of having it built in. As a gesture of goodwill we have offered to send you out a new IPhone to make sure you have a working sat nav on your vehicle, even though you already have a mobile device that has this capability and technically we do not have to offer this gesture of goodwill given that we haven’t actually done anything wrong.
The consumer rights act allow you a full refund if there is a mechanical fault with the vehicle. You have not reached the driving conditions for the stop start system to work and sat nav not being in built into your media system do not constitute grounds for rejection, particularly as you visited the premises and had ample time to test drive and ask any questions that would have made a major effect on your purchasing decisions.
Unfortunately although we try our best to assist every customer and we do deliver an exceptional service of which our 600+ 5* (verified) reviews prove, we are unable to please everyone and although we have tried our hardest to assist you, unfortunately we are unable to assist customers who refuse the help.
As communicated on numerous occasions, if you feel you have any issues with your battery stop start not working (even though batteries are not covered under warranty), please book it in with us and we will look at this for you and assist free of charge.

Amazing level of service !
We got a car from this company today and we were so happy with the level of service we received from Dan and the team. They were so helpful, understanding and supportive. We are so happy with the car that we got - clean and comfortable. The company overall is amazing would fully recommend to anyone for wanting to buy a car. Very reasonable pricing.

Leigh Cars - a good company to deal with
Leigh Cars are a good company to deal with. Excellent, swift communication, straight talking and a no nonsense approach to car sales.
I bought a car remotely : the process was simple, well explained and progressed as they outlined. The car was delivered on time and it was as described verbally, in the photos and also as I saw it in the live video call walk round.
I never leave a review immediately after any purchase, so after 2 weeks of ownership & driving it I am happy with the purchase, which is a good car at a fair price.

Check the vehicle before purchase

During repair they damaged the interior of my vehicle ,didn't say anything about it until I've discovered it .

I’d like to raise some key points missed within your review to make it a more realistic impressions of what has actually happened, for other customers potentially reading this review.
We agreed to fix the spring mechanism in your fuel flap because it was not operating. We had no choice but to order the 2 parts from Renault directly as we were unable to order from our usual suppliers. The first part arrived relatively quickly but the other part was on back order. You persistently kept coming in until the point we explained that we cannot book you in for this repair until we have got all the bits needed. Obviously with it being such a small repair we didn’t think you would go to the Renault main dealer twice demanding where the part was. Clearly, opening a fuel flap manually rather than using a lever in your car was of such concern you felt this was warranted.
As soon as the 2nd part arrived with us we booked you in for the Monday to have the part fitted and problem rectified - this was 72 hours after the final part arrived with us to complete the job. We did not charge you for the parts or the labour as a gesture of goodwill for the length of time it had taken to get this sorted for you, apparently this wasn’t enough and even on your appointment to fix the issue you were demanding from our sales exec that you deserve more compensation. You were insistent on this and would not leave our offices without a long conversation as to why we could not assist any further as much of the time delay was completely out of our hands. A few days passed since you took your car back and you then demanded more compensation from us via email and was borderlining on blackmail. I explained to you that the entire back of the car had to be taken apart to get to inside the fuel flap mechanism and apologised for the minor marks left on your interior carpet lining since the job was completed and to bring it back into us to sort out for you. You sent in some photos and claimed we had tried to hide marks on your boot lining carpet, for reader reference the vehicle is 7.5 years old and has done 70k miles so may have already been there prior to our repairs as it was such a minor mark. However, I still offered to have the vehicle back in to take a look at this for you and to try and sort it so you were happy. I have counted 3 occasions in writing where I have apologised to you and asked for you to bring the car back into us for us to sort for you but you seem fixed on trying to blackmail us rather than letting at us look at it for you.
In fairness your review is your opinion and we welcome all feedback from every customer whether positive or negative. However, I feel your review is rather factually inaccurate and defamatory towards the business and the high level of service and care we give to all of our customers, which can be seen in our 500+ 5 star happy customer reviews on other platforms along with the many customer satisfaction awards we have won over the years, which is incredibly important to us and we take great pride in providing the best care we can given that we are a small business and understand how important this is. However, we are aware that we cannot satisfy everyone and this is clearly the case in this example.
We wish you all the best with your new vehicle and I am sorry that you feel the need to make your views so public. Once again we thank you for your business and apologise once again for the length of time it took to rectify your fuel flap.

Recently purchased a Citreon C4 Cactus. During the whole process the staff were extremely helpful, enabled us to take for a test drive, without any staff, so was not pressured into buying the car. Dan was amazing 👌
Viewed a vehicle, on line, and asked if this was still available but was out of my price range.
Called back after thinking more, with my wife, and spoke to Dan, who was amazing from the first time I sent an email to the very end, when I collected it on Saturday.
Signed paperwork and Elliott also joined us and we had a great conversation during sign up.
Elliot then called me during the week and told me about the spare key and gave me options and was something that I was not expecting and was also so very good with the service.

Dan at Leigh cars gave us excellent service…
Dan at Leigh cars gave us excellent help and service, at no time did we feel pressured or rushed. The Auris that we had driven 80 miles to see was in a lovely condition and worth the drive.
Dan answered all our questions and concerns and even let us try our grandsons car seat in the back to ensure it would be suitable for that and the two other people that would be sitting there.
All the paperwork and tax was sorted out by him whilst he let us sit in his reception area to contact my insurers,
The car drives like a dream and we are very happy with our purchase, Leigh cars and Dan.

I bought a Fiat 500 from Leigh cars and the men I got it off were very nice but soon as I got home the car had issues it needed a new front wishbone both sides and also suspension joint both sides as it had a bad knocking noise cost me over 700 pound to get fixed.
