Microbakery and baking classes. LEKITO is an award winning microbakery, specialising in a small range of wonderful breads, tarts, cakes and buns. We believe in Real Bread, no preservatives or other additions commercial bakers use. Artisan bread and pastries. We bake to order and also attend markets where the Lekito stall is always popular. In 2022 we won a Gold Award at the World bread Awards. We also love to teach bread baking in small friendly classes with award-winning baker, Keith Kirby. Classes are in Keith’s own kitchen in Wavendon, where participants learn a range of skills and get to bake a variety of breads or other bakes. Every class is hands-on, and everyone goes home with lots of things for friends and family to try, along with recipes. And a life-skill that will last forever!

Take a Lekito baking course asap!

Take a Lekito baking course asap - you will not regret it! I just spent a delightful day with Keith learning how to bake a wide range of breads including a rustique, soda bread, challah and cheese twists. Do it for yourself and learn a new skill, or offer it as a gift to a loved one and enjoy the bountiful supply of breads they bring home.

Sourdough Superclass

Attended the Sourdough Class, throughly enjoyed the day and the delicious lunch. Keith is a great teacher and the course fully hands on and very informative. Learnt techniques, tips, flavour options and left with several stunning breads. Highly Recommend.

Fantastic Italian Bread making class

I recently had the pleasure of attending one of Lekito's breadmaking classes specialising in Italian breads.
What a fantastic and full on day it turned out to be. Keith is a very professional and methodical teacher, giveing clear instructions for what turned outto be a very hands on experience. By the end of the full day course we had produced 7 different types of Italian breads, among them Foccaccia and ciabata. I came away with two large bags full of breads, and arm ache. I do a bit of home breadmaking but this was at another level - I was using muscles I never knew I had.
This was a great experience and I learnt a lot from "the master"
Thank you Keith!
PS. Perhaps I shouldn't admit this, but I froze some of the breads and last week end we ate the last of the Ciabata. Just thaw at room temperature and blast it in the oven and 220 for 5-7 mins and it tasted just like it's been freshly baked!

Three Words to describe Lekito Loaf

Three Words to describe Lekito Loaf - WOW, WOW & WOW!
So Amazingly Fresh and obviously not mass manufactured giving it a lovely homemade taste. I had it for the first time today and it brought Nostalgia, reminding me of my Grandmothers bread in the South of Italy, many years ago. Well Done! Honestly the Best bread I have had in England, since moving here in 2005!

The Sourdough that makes you grin.

Without doubt the best Sourdough we have ever tasted. The aroma when you open your paper wrapped bread is the start. Amazing taste. Next day toasted slightly it tastes even better.
Yes, it may seem more expensive than M&S, but this is a different class. Bigger, heavier and tastier. Best value.
Easy to order. Had to collect, but smooth operation.
