I really enjoyed my Spanish classes at Lengua y Cultura. Our instructor Mayán was fantastic! She did a great job explaining different concepts to us and was always very nice and patient. I initially signed up for 3 weeks but stayed for 4. I also really enjoyed all the field trips they organized: Eric was a great tour guide pointing out a lot of things I would have missed on my own!

Erik is a fantastic teacher and an expert in Mexican culture. The value is exceptional. There are other more expensive options but the structured curriculum and academic support combined with interesting field trips is all you need.

L&C is the only realistic option really if you're looking for a language immersion school in CDMX, and they do a decent job.

I had a fantastic experience. I was an absolute beginner when I arrived. After 4 weeks I learnt so much and can now interact with locals in a range of basic contexts. We he classes had a good mix of grammar and vocabulary as well as practise, stories, and using the language in context. I am more confident and able to use my Spanish in the street. The teachers are fantastic. They care and they want you to have a great experience. I liked the Thursday evening conversation exchange activities and the field trips on Friday- meeting all the other students and building trust with each other really helped my language learning journey.
Big thank you to my teachers over the month- Sheyla and Diego for being so patient, creative and enthusiastic and to Adrian and Eric for all the extra support. Your kindness and professional approach makes this school an excellent choice for a language course.

I am having classes with Erick now for more than 7 weeks and he is an amazing teacher. Very enthusiastic and passionate!

What I also love about the school is that we go on a field trip every Friday, discovering more about the city and the different cultures. And if you want you can also attend one activity outside of school like museum night or the language exchange cafe.

I would definitely recommend this school in CDMX.

The instruction at Lengua y Cultura is truly exceptional. My primary teacher in the intensive program was not only deeply knowledgeable but also patient, engaging, and skilled at breaking down complex Spanish grammar in a way that actually made sense. I also worked with a tutor through the school for individual sessions, and she was fabulous. She was warm, encouraging, and incredibly effective at helping me deepen my understanding. The combination of a talented classroom instructor and a supportive personal tutor created a learning environment where real progress was possible, and I was excited to continue.

However, students with disabilities or mobility challenges should be aware that the school does have accessibility barriers. There is a ramp but accessing it can be difficult because the sidewalk leading to it is high, and the curb cut is uneven and broken. In addition, although one of the buildings does have an elevator, access to the bathroom requires going down a staircase with only one banister. For some people with disabilities, including myself, this makes the bathroom inaccessible. Because of these structural limitations, I was only able to attend one day of the program and could not continue, even though I loved the instruction and the learning environment.

For students who can navigate the space without difficulty, I highly recommend the program. I hope the school will address these accessibility barriers in the future, because it has so much to offer and should be fully accessible to all learners.

I studied for three weeks here in group classes and private tutoring and learned SO MUCH more than I thought possible. I can order and talk a little bit with my friends who speak spanish.

I’m just starting with this school but so far, so good! They are flexible with their options, offering many learning styles and small class sizes. Sometimes it seems like you’re thrown into the deep end, but that’s how you learn. Just remember that learning a new language is going to be uncomfortable, no matter where you study.

They also offer a lot of cultural experiences such as field trips which help you understand the community and to build a network of other learners.

After initially taking 4 weeks of classes at Langua Y Cultura, I elected to go for another 3. The leasons are so helpful when you first arrive in the city and the teachers are energized, prepared, and happy to interact with new students.

I signed up for 4 weeks of class at A1.2 level. Almost immediately after two classes, my level increased in terms of grammar and tense usage. Learning gerundio and antepresente was a game changer. My instructor Dieter is great. I had to stop the group classes early for a new job. But hope to resume with private lessons with Dieter.

L&C Spanish School in CDMX has great teachers and offers the best possible opportunity to learn and improve Spanish. I had attended several other schools and courses in Mexico, and this school is the best by far. The learning is structured so that you are constantly progressing while everything is explained in a clear and easy way to understand. I have had several teachers at other schools and can attest that the Spanish language teachers at L&C are the very best in Mexico City. I give Lengua y Cultura the highest recommendation.

I studied at intermediate level for just a week at Lengua y Cultura. I so wish I had been able to do more. This is an unpretentious school that prides itself on good value, good teaching and good fun. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, notably because the class sizes were pretty small (for me only 5) which made learning easier and far more productive. I cannot wait to go back!

I 100% recommend! This school and its teachers have given me such a great experience learning Spanish. The placement test needs some work to be more accurate, but you can always change your placement for what suits you better and the teachers are incredible. Brenda, Marco, and Diego are such knowledgeable teachers. I did it for a week to try and will definitely be booking more classes.
