Blown away by the quality and experience

On a recent trip to Paris visiting the Le Tanneur shop was my top priority. The staff was fabulous and I left with the Juliette in Navy. I saw the summer sale was happening the same week. Although I didn't need another bag I bought another one! I am so impressed by the craftsmanship and quality. I will be a lifelong customer

I have 3 handbags from this brand. Two od them are great and I love them. However the one has already many many scratches after 3 months as the leather is super smooth.

Missing bag

Missing bag
I finally splurged on a Le Tanneur I've been wanting forever. When I got the bag I noticed there was a black splotch on the handle. Le Tanneur CS asked me to try and erase it. I did, sent a video, and they told me that I should return the bag for a refund at which time I could order a replacement. Within the week I dropped the package off at a DHL pickup location, just in time for them to go on strike. With no confirmation of drop-off, Le Tanneur has let me know that I am not only out the bag, but I am out the money as there's nothing they can do. The drop-off location as told me there's no confirmation they can give. DHL has said that the tracking information can't be found. I guess I'm just out 800CAD? Very upset. I would have settled for a discount but was told to return the full bag, and now I'm out the bag and my money.

* please note I also submitted a similar negative review for DHL. I understand that this isn't fully Le Tanneur's fault but it isn't mine either, and to go completely incommunicado for weeks is not helpful customer service.

We’ve received the following response from DHL regarding our claim:

Hi,
According to our system, the return label was not used.
Could you kindly ask the customer for proof of drop-off?
Kind regards"

As you can see, we are back to the same situation: DHL requires proof that the parcel was physically handed over. We kindly ask you to check with the person or location where you dropped off the package, as they may be able to provide a receipt or confirmation.

Unfortunately, without this proof, we are unable to move forward with the claim. We understand this is frustrating, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience, but the drop-off confirmation is essential and remains the customer’s responsibility.

WORST MISTAKE - I was sent a defective bag with mold on the patent leather

I made the mistake to order a bag from this brand (it was my first time), and when I received it I noticed several issues with the bag, such as scratches on the patent leather, evident dark spots and even dots of mold (very noticeable, since the bag is white).
On the next day (19th of June), I took pictures of the bag and sent them explaining what happened.
Since that date, I sent 3 emails WITH NO RESPONSE. The bag is in the original box since I received it and I am waiting for a reply.
This type of treatment is complety unacceptable of an internacional brand and now I deeply regret spending so much money on a brand new white bag that was sent with mold (that I cannot clean because it is bellow the patent).
Having this in consideration, I advise any possible future customers to NOT BUY FROM THIS BRAND.

I love this brand

I love this brand! Every piece I own is just wonderful craftsmanship. Beautiful leather, spacious interior and many pockets within the bag or wallets for storage needs. I love their wallets especially because they are carefully and thoughtfully designed and crafted to give plenty of space in small or large size. I have been pleased with all the pieces I own from this brand and will cherish them on many events, occasions or outings to come. These are capsules pieces you must have in your wardrobe for many years to come and of use. I have been consciously purchasing pieces that fits my wardrobe and my style.

Quality of the bag

The shipping, packaging compartment, and the size of the bag is awesome. The only part is there are visible mark on the front. The seller is great in granting the refund, however as the shipping fee back to seller is to be bare by myself, which is like €120, which is too much. I can't pay extra (purchase shipping and return shipping fee) for nothing. I have no choice but keep the defaulted bag.
