Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 298 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People consistently experienced terrible product failures, such as broken appliance parts, leaking washing machines, and malfunctioning screens shortly after purchase. Consumers also found the customer support teams completely unhelpful and rude when trying to resolve these ongoing problems. Some reviewers were happy with certain aspects of the televisions, praising the bright colors, modern design, and clear picture quality. Other buyers noted that the initial setup and basic functions met expectations when the devices were operating properly, though these positive experiences were often overshadowed by widespread hardware and service complaints.

Absolutely garbage company and customer service absolutely useless. Avoid at all costs. I needed my washing machine repaired under warranty but LG made me go through so many hurdles and still wasn't repaired even though I had valid warranty

Absolutely shocking experience from a…

Absolutely shocking experience from a customer service point! Can't comment on the tv yet cuz they just dumped it in its box without even opening it, even though it was included in the £2,500 that I have paid for this tv. The customer service over the phone have been absolutely useless and VERY rude! I am expecting a call from a supervisor/manager to sort this and receive a partial refund for this horrible experience!

WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER

I have never had such a bad experience with an electronics company before! Especially one that makes multi millions per month on purchases and provides her costumers with such low and truly disrespectful costumer service.
I purchased a TV and paid £25 for the delivery and because I had to return it they told me that I have to pay extra £43 to take it away and I CANNOT chose the time and date that they will take it back and if I want to chose a time I would have to pay EXTRA!!!
So basically there is no Costumer service! The LG company is trying to lose their costumers by making it absolutely a MISTAKE from purchasing from them!

Worst company ever! I will never buy from them again! Trust me guys there are so many more companies out there with good TVs that help their costumers and give them options!

If I could I would give 0 stars

If I could I would give 0 stars. Reported a repair on 31 August as delay end not working on a 7 month old washing machine. I contacted LG again 4 sept to find out when I could expect an engineer to be told that an engineer would be with me today !!! I said no one had booked me in for an appointment so got the phone number of the engineer company. Rang them to be told they were only informed of the request last night 3 sept at 16:00 and that no appointment had been made for today. Offered me an appointment for 9 sept which unfortunately didn’t suit me. Next appointment was 17 sept. Over 2 weeks to get a repair on a 7 month old washing machine is totally unacceptable. Don’t even know when I would have gotten an appointment if I hadn’t rang the company. LG call centre staff are extremely difficult to understand. Asked for a manager due to misinformation I had been given. Was told I didn’t need to speak to a manager. Totally unacceptable behaviour. Never recommend LG.

Terrible customer service and products

Terrible customer service and products. My American style fridge freezer catastrophically broke during the heatwave and when the engineer came there were multiple failures which to me show poor quality. Unable to be repaired. Jumped through hoops to try and get any money back and took so long to answer emails despite that they knew I had no fridge in 30 degree heat and didn’t seem to care. I will never buy anything from them again. Woudl give zero stars if possible. Their terrible trustpilot rating is well deserved and takes real effort to be this bad!!

My Tv was only 2 years old from NEW

My Tv was only 2 years old from NEW! Then the screen broke and no one can help me, they said £300 for a new screen. How can a company expect and be fine with such a short life span for a TV. They were no help at all and consumer rights suggests that products of satisfactory quality should last a lot longer then 2 years!

I will never be purchasing a LG product again and neither will my family.

Completely disappointed

Completely disappointed. I’ve purchased LG w100 smartwatches, and unfortunately, the batteri now need replacing. This is a beautiful and well-designed brand, but the after-sales care for its smartwatches is non-existent. There seems to be very little support available when it comes to repairs or battery replacements, which is extremely disappointing.

If I Could Give A Zero I Would, Awful Customer Service

Well, what can I say just as I thought their non-existent customer service could not get any lower and worse, they managed to surpass that milestone.

After almost a month of being ignored, lied to and my order cancelled by the most useless delivery company you could find (BJS Delivery Services), I
Finally, get a phone call from a manager (not sure why she had manager in her title as she could not do anything to help me), to tell me that she is very
sorry with the way we have been treated and was calling to help sort out the issues that we have incurred.

Unfortunately, she was more concerned about the £15.00 water filter being returned (which took four days to be collected) than losing a £1200
(plus, any future purchases, as I will never buy another LG product in my life) Before she could issue the refund back to the Pay Pal Account. Up to this point I was still willing to reorder the Fridge / Freezer under the same conditions and Price that we had originally paid for.

Instead of letting us reorder the fridge / freezer under the same terms and conditions, we were told that the Welcome Voucher was no longer valid and the Trade Up was no longer valid, so we would be paying much more, even after all the issues that have
Occurred. The manager (I used that term very loosely), had no interest in helping us out, or treating like a returning customer, but instead kept repeating that we have used the offers up, the fridge was delivered to my address but was never taken of the delivery
Vehicle. I told her that would she rather lose a large sale than helping us, but she had no authority (a manager with no authority, what a joke).

Today they have managed to make yourselves even more incompetent that I thought possible, I received the refund back minus £30.00 for the
Installation (The Item was never taken of the delivery vehicle or unpacked let alone installed).

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, I WARN ANYONE TO BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE ORDERING ANY ITEM FROM THEM...

⭐ 1 star - A 10-year compressor warranty that LG could not actually fulfil

I would never buy another LG appliance after this experience.

I bought a premium LG American-style fridge-freezer for £1,584 in 2022, partly reassured by the prominently advertised 10-year compressor warranty.

After a long history of problems and multiple engineer visits, the fridge-freezer eventually failed completely. A highly experienced Pacifica engineer diagnosed a weak/failed compressor requiring replacement. His written report also states that, having reviewed the previous history, he suspected the appliance had been “slightly undergassed from the start”, causing the compressor to overwork and ultimately fail.

You would think this is exactly what a 10-year compressor warranty is for.

Unfortunately, LG has been unable to provide an authorised engineer in my area to replace it.

Even John Lewis escalated the matter directly with LG and has confirmed to me in writing that LG has not disputed the compressor diagnosis, yet despite repeated escalation LG failed to provide an authorised repair option under its 10-year warranty.

At one point LG suggested that I find my own independent engineer. John Lewis themselves described that suggestion to me as “dubious” and said they were deeply sceptical about the potential implications for the remaining warranty.

Meanwhile, my family has been left without our main fridge-freezer through long repeated periods of extremely hot summer weather. I am a single parent with two teenage children, and managing without adequate refrigeration has been extraordinarily difficult and expensive. I also live with chronic pain, so constantly having to shop for small amounts of fresh food because I cannot store it properly has had a significant physical impact.

The most upsetting part is that I wasn’t asking for anything extraordinary. I wanted LG to honour the compressor warranty displayed on the appliance and replace the failed compressor.

Eventually I had to involve my MP, who contacted John Lewis on my behalf. Only then did my case reach John Lewis Director Relations, who acknowledged how badly I had been let down and began working with me towards an alternative replacement.

I appreciate John Lewis finally stepping in, but it should never have reached this point.

A long warranty sounds reassuring when you’re spending a substantial amount of money on a premium appliance. My experience has taught me that what matters is not the number of years printed on the sticker - it’s whether the manufacturer can actually provide the repair when you need to claim under it.

LG could not do that for me.

After this experience, I have completely lost confidence in LG and will not buy another LG appliance.

No nonsense refund

No nonsense refund
Totally gobsmacked at the volume of absolutely awful reviews of LG, I had a TV stand that was not inexpensive that had to be returned, I found the process a refreshingly straightforward experience. Ok I had to pay £30 to get it collected but it was my fault for ordering the wrong stand in the first place so no complaints. there. I raised a request, I had a call back the next day. Collection was arranged three days later and a full refund in my account the day after it was received by them, LG don’t seem to be doing themselves any favours letting these complaints get so out of hand. If I’d hav3 read these first I would have gone elsewhere.

Extremely disappointed

I’m extremely disappointed with the response I’ve received regarding my LG OLED CX.

The TV has developed a serious and progressively worsening panel fault. It started as an illuminated line across the top of the OLED panel and has now deteriorated further, with the fault clearly visible during LG’s own built-in Picture Test. This rules out HDMI cables, external equipment or sources. There has been no accidental damage or misuse.

I contacted LG support and was simply told that the repair would be chargeable because the TV is outside warranty. This amount was laughable, and they rovided no way forward whatsoever. 6 years is not acceptable for a Premium TV. The live chat was then disconnected before my request for the matter to be properly reviewed or escalated was resolved. Awful customer service.

This was a premium OLED television and this has to be a major hardware/panel failure, not normal wear and tear.

I am asking LG UK to properly escalate and review this case for a reasonable resolution, rather than simply dismissing it as out of warranty and offering a ridiculous repair cost.

I have photographs showing the fault progressing, including the defect on a black screen and LG’s own Picture Test.

Please can someone from LGUK Customer Relations actually review this? Without the usual ‘read from a hymn sheet’ response?

My review - Don’t buy an LG TV if you want something that will last, or expect a good customer service.

Awful delivery, where courier said he missed me - even though I was at home / we have a 24 hour concierge and a private post office so had to be rearranged. Item was delivered faulty where could see the wiring on the inside of the microwave with a broken front panel. Requested a return and took over 3 weeks even to get a call from them to arrange. Very poor customer service who do not seem to talk to each other, so had the same conversation with 2-3 seperate teams

Terrible customer service

My LG fridge/freezer suddenly stopped working, only 3 and a half years old. The freezer stopped making ice and warmed up. All freezer food was ruined!
I called LG who sent out an engineer, he thought it was the compressor but in the meantime LG sent a circuit board to the engineer to fit? It still didn’t work and during this time the fridge started warming up, again it was agreed by the engineer that it was the compressor.
So, the compressor is under a 10 year warranty, but LG told me my area (where I live) was not under this warranty??????
After much complaining they said they would send a compressor to the engineer. It’s now been 4 weeks without a fridge/freezer in this high heat.
I have phoned them again today and they said they would ring back as they cannot get through to their technical department. They are unlikely to call back as they didn’t call back last Friday when they said they would, they just read from a script, lots of apologises but not actually resolving anything.
I am truly being tested now and I will not purchase anything from this company again!!!

Although my new LG OLED TV seems…

Although my new LG OLED TV seems wonderful for the moment it is severely let down since LG smart TVs do not currently support a native U application. I like to watch a lot of TV shows on channel 20 but that is impossible with my new LG OLED TV. Lots and lots of other apps which are not relevant to me but missing the vital U app. To me an obvious ploy (finance involved?) to stop me watching channel 20 for free. Shame on LG for selling such a poor television - but do they care? Probably not.

One of the worst after-sales…

One of the worst after-sales experiences I have ever had.

I raised a genuine concern about an authorised engineer's visit after the engineer informed both my husband and me that no repair was required because the appliance had already started working again. We were present throughout the entire visit and no repair has been being carried out.

To my surprise, I later discovered that the engineer's report stated that the Main PCB had been replaced. I challenged this immediately, and repeatedly requested that LG arrange an independent inspection by a different engineer. Instead of carrying out an impartial investigation, LG simply chose to rely on the original engineer's report and repeatedly refused my request for an independent inspection, advising me to pay for my own engineer if I wished to dispute their findings.

The authorised repair company (A.N.D Domestics LTD) has ignored my complaint completely despite repeated attempts to contact them and allowing more than 3 weeks to pass without any response.

What has disappointed me most is not just the outcome, but the way I have been treated throughout this process. My concerns were never independently investigated and I was effectively expected to prove that LG's own authorised engineer's report was inaccurate at my own expense.

For a global brand such as LG, I expected honesty, transparency and a fair complaints process. Instead, I experienced poor customer service, a lack of accountability and a complete unwillingness to independently investigate a serious concern regarding one of their authorised engineers.
Based on my experience, I have lost confidence in both LG's after-sales support and its authorised repair network, and I would think very carefully before purchasing another LG appliance.
