Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 298 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People consistently experienced terrible product failures, such as broken appliance parts, leaking washing machines, and malfunctioning screens shortly after purchase. Consumers also found the customer support teams completely unhelpful and rude when trying to resolve these ongoing problems. Some reviewers were happy with certain aspects of the televisions, praising the bright colors, modern design, and clear picture quality. Other buyers noted that the initial setup and basic functions met expectations when the devices were operating properly, though these positive experiences were often overshadowed by widespread hardware and service complaints.

Absolutely appalling company

Absolutely appalling company. MY ADVICE IS DO NOT BUY AN LG PRODUCT AT ANY COST!!!
Purchased an American fridge freezer at a cost of £1300 with a 10 year inverter compressor warranty.less than 4 years old when it broke. Lg refuse to send an engineer of their own and advised to to call their recommended company. They advised if it was the compressor they would not repair it.
Back to lg...I asked to speak to customer services in the UK, they refused to give me any contact details.
Rest assured I will not let this go, keep an eye open on RIP OFF BRITAIN.

Less than 6month old drier- that cost £1200- developed a leak. After 3 engineer visits, and 9MONTHS later- LG are unable to either fix or replace the machine.

Worst customer service I have ever received. Will never again buy a single product from LG

Using the customer service was HELL

Using the customer service to attempt to get my mothers TV repaired is the most painful, stressful, unappealing thing I feel I've ever done.

I wish I'd persuaded her to use a different company for her TV.

I've been spoken to like a 2yr old by a lady on the other end of the phone.
Bounced about.

And now... had gaslighting messages sent to me.
I mean...seriously.
Hence needing to vent some frustrations on here and warn others away.

Closing a case because you've not received documentation.
Which was NEVER requested.

The one star review of this supposedly reputable company is well deserved.

I shall never be purchasing anything made by LG again and shall be telling anyone who asks about this experience.

If anyone from LG reads this.

You need to sort out your UK tech support.

I’m disappointed with my experience so…

I’m disappointed with my experience so far. My LG washing machine suffered a catastrophic internal failure within its first year, resulting in flooding and the appliance being unusable.

Although an engineer attended, the matter has been slow to resolve and I am still awaiting clarity and copies of the engineer report and photographs relied upon to refuse warranty coverage.

I had expected a quicker and more transparent resolution for a major failure on a relatively new appliance.

UK webstore experience

I ordered a TV from the UK webstore and realised I had a scheduling conflict on delivery day, so immediately cancelled and re-ordered, despite the first order being in the "picking item" phase. The cancellation and re-order went without a hitch, and the discount voucher I was given was even refunded when I cancelled the first order, so that I could use it again. The experience went very well despite the order being made during the week before Christmas.

LG Dreadful aftersales and customer service

LG are a benchmark in well intended but terrible customer service. I have been trying to log into my account for 4 weeks now and I phoned them for help and they keep sending the same email every 6 days , they ignore my replies and suggestions , now my brand new 100 inch TV not 2 weeks old is broken and I can't get them to arrange a repair , they give long winded explanations and insist I speak to the retailer who insists repairs are done by LG , I'd rather slit my wrists than be an LG customer .

Extremely frustrating service

Bought a TV and soundbar with installation fully paid for, upon installation the installer mentioned that they couldn’t install the TV with a movable bracket on my wall, hence I just asked them to return and cancel the order until we figure a solution, also nothing was mentioned at the time of purchase online on the type of wall or brackets that they can or can’t install they just state that the bracket must be ready at installation.
The TV and soundbar were returned with the installers but they refused to pickup the free sound bar bracket as they stated a courier should be arranged to pick it up.
LG team took at least 9 days to arrange the pickup and they have had everything returned more tha 10 days and the still don’t refund me neither have confirmed the refund status.

Their call center is extremely frustrating to deal
With and absolutely useless as they would never transfer you to a decision maker a they won’t or can’t take a decision on anything.

The amounts with held are quite material and I’ve not been refunded or compensated for the delay dispute their failure / negligence in communicating critical details about the installation.

I hope some executive from the company reads the messages and looks into my case.

Unprofessional Service

We ordered a fridge freezer including installation and trade-in of our old fridge.
The delivery company LG uses (AIT Delivery) is horrible! They came twice and failed to complete the delivery both times due to 'rules' that were never communicated to us in advance - each visit, a different rule.
On the first visit, they said 2 delivery men were not enough for a 100kg fridge and left. Why wasnt this planned properly by LG or their delivery partner? No ANSWER!
On the second visit, 3 delivery men arrived but then refused to take the old fridge because it hadnt been switched off 6 hours in advance. This has never been communicated to us in any email, message or call.
We even offered to let them leave the new fridge and come back again to pick up the old one, but they refused to deliver the new appliance and left again!
This has been extremely frasturating and stressful for us. We planned our week around these deliveries and were left without solutions twice.
LG SHOULD SERIOUSLY REVIEW HOW THEY MANAGE DELIVERY PARTNERS AND HOW THEY COMMUNICATE REQUIREMENTS TO CUSTOMERS, THIS LEVEL OF SERVICE IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR SUCH LARGE PURCHASES.

Wall-Mount Service

I just receive my LG OLED 65 inch TV yesterday but LG will not even provide me with details of Installation companies they would have used saying because I didn’t ask for the service in the Order process they can’t assist me. Instead they want me to pay £49.99 to return the TV and RE-Order, making sure I ask for installation service this time.

Worst money I've ever spent

I spent over £1000 on an LG Gram 17 inch laptop Dec 2025 from a well-known high street retailer, and I immediately regretted the purchase initially due to its ultra-sensitive touchpad. This alone rendered the machine nearly unusable, as I experienced endless accidental clicks. Fine movements became particularly challenging during detail-oriented tasks, leading to frequent redoing of work. Attempts to adjust the sensitivity through the software controls proved ineffective.

Additionally, the build quality is disappointing. For instance, there’s a noticeable gap above the SD card slot, which caused me to lose an SD card on my first attempt to use it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t retrieve it.

Less than three months later most keys on the built-in keyboard stopped functioning.

The facial recognition camera is unreliable—it rarely works, and when I eventually manage to log in by entering passwords manually, I am bombarded with system messages prompting me to reset the facial ID.

Moreover, LG's customer service has been unhelpful, often promising assistance that never materializes. When I contacted them they promised to 'make things right for you' however no assistance was forthcoming. Now, just over a year after purchase, my laptop is essentially unusable. I’ve reverted to my old HP laptop, which still works perfectly after nearly a decade. I initially replaced it because it was slow and lacked a better screen resolution.

I will never buy another LG product and wish I had stuck with HP. A little research would have saved me significant frustration, as I’ve since discovered that many others share similar experiences. Proceed with caution when considering this so-called premium product.

I received an order cancelled…

I received an order cancelled notification a few hours after ordering a monitor from LG. Because of this I ordered another monitor elsewhere and decided I would return the monitor to LG when it arrived.

LG customer service takes days to reply to each message and hits me for a £30 return fee. I try to explain that I did not change my mind and instead ordered elsewhere because of the cancelled notification.

Apparently what had happened is that I used my old card number during checkout but changed it when it was incorrect. This then generated two orders and I received a notification for one being cancelled at 16:35 after receiving an order successful at 13:30.

I had not left the check out page and in my mind it was still the same order.
This has never happened before at any shop and of course I was not going to check the order number numbers.

They are not willing to waive the fee and I have incurred a £30 fee due to their obscure system.

Don't buy from LG, go elsewhere.

Appalling service

Appalling service. Ordered a TV, was advised delivery would be almost 2 weeks. Then 3 days before delayed another week, then less than 24 hours notice notified of a change of delivery again. No direct contact from LG or an apology, had to ring to find out the TV wasn’t even in stock! Avoid at all costs! What an absolute disgrace and poor customer experience.

I no longer recommend LG or their products

I have purchased 5 LG products and have come to the decision not to buy LG again. 4 washing machines over £500.00 each not lasting 2 years and a fridge freezer £1199.00 not lasting 3 years. When you are paying decent hard earned money for your products you expect them to last. I should have learned my lessons with the washing machines. Time to look at another manufacturer. Customer Care, the lady I spoke to was abrupt and frankly quite rude and that was paying for a repair man to come out to try to remedy the fault. Disappointed is an understatement.

Despicable lack of service

Trying to get a item repaired by LG is almost impossible, even though it is less than a year old. Their service is shocking and I have no idea if I'll ever see an engineer. I'll not be buying an LG TV again, based on this experience. They don't seem to care about customers once you have purchased an item from them. Despicable.

LG customer services or more like lack of

Washing machine developed a leak from front door. LG wanted photos of the leak, including videos of leak. I can’t supply a video of a slow leak as it is a slow leak. It took two days of calls and ten uploads of photos and proof of purchase etc. I was advised that they will not replace but only repair and that the repair will take up to 14 days! To replace I would have to contact the retailer, Curry’s, who would be able to deal with this. They wouldn’t, just told me to contact LG. So around in circles. I would not recommend buying an LG washing machine or purchase from Curry’s

Do not recommend

Do not pay them for disconnecting washing machines - they expect it to be perfectly simple and even if it is slightly stuck they will tell you to get a plumber and that they are unable to do it. Called a plumber he took 5 mins loosening the connection and now LG wont refund money for disconnection! They are more interested in keeping your £20 and will fob you off until you are fed up of talking to them!
