The torque converter or fuel feed is defective, this wasn’t evident on a 2 mile test drive however that is not the main issue. The car we bought was originally purchased in Spain and brought back to the UK, that should be no problem however the original owner failed to pay any tax on the car whilst he had it, this is now a problem for us as trying to re-register it in Spain it shows on the system as an ‘embargoed’ car any debt that the car has is transferred to the new owner. I am sure that as a ‘professional LHD dealership’ they have a duty to check all issues out. Be very aware when buying a car from them and ask relevant questions and ask to see all documents prior to purchase. Perhaps contact the relevant authorities and see if there are any problems with the car as the LHD centre won’t tell you.

Excellent communications before I arrived from France, and Colin arranged to pick up my Dacia ,saving me a double drive from the SW to Basingstoke, at a reasonable cost.

Had an issue in the past that made me chuck all my toys out the pram. However, today when I asked for help they could not have being more helpful even after realising it was me.

Very impressed that no grudge was held, not sure, I would have been so generous in the same situation.

Martin at LHD place was extremely helpful when I was recently buying my car for France. Once I had decided on the car I wanted, he was happy to store it for me until I was able to collect (about a month). He sorted the registration for me and the car is great - sailed through its CT with no issues.
I would definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone looking for a LHD car.

We bought a car from LHD Place completely by distance. At first I was quite anxious about the potential implications of not being able to check the car in advance, but Martin went out of his way to really put my mind at ease, and this reassured me that they are a very honest business to buy a car from, and care and are passionate about what they do. Thank you Martin.

Colin is asking to make photo of my UK registration certificate by phone despite I was asking which data exactly he needs. On a first page there is a number which can only be shared with the buyer only after the sale. I am pretty much sure he knows it. So they do look as a scammers now. Later today I will file a police report online. Please avoid!

We purchased a care from this company in February, 2022 in order to return to Spain with a Spanish Registered Car. The correspondence with the company was first class and we thought all was well. However, fast forward to 2023. We were expecting to receive the Car Tax invoice at the beginning of April but nothing arrived. After asking our Gestor to see if there was a problem we found out that not only had the car tax for 2022 been left outstanding by the company who should have paid this as they were the owners in January 2022 but they had not even transferred the car from the ownership of the gentleman they had purchased from. All records on the Spanish system indicated that the owner was still down as the man who sold to the LHDP. There was also a flag on the car because of the unpaid tax.
We contacted The LHDP and spoke to the gentleman in their office. I was told that they could not transfer the car because they did not have our documents. He said they came across this problem all the time! I was sure that I had sent everything they required so went through all the original emails. Sure enough the documents for re registering the Title which had been requested had been sent. I forwarded copies of my original emails where we had forwarded all documents required to carry out the transfer. I also raised the issue again of the non payment of car tax for 2022.
This was not the first time we had purchased a Spanish car from the UK and we had not come across this issue before.
The Company did not offer any solution, not even an apology! We have now had to pay 430 euros to transfer the car, plus 218 euros for the car tax owing from 2022 (including a 50 euro fine) and on top of that we will have to pay our Gestor for sorting this mess out.
I do not recommend purchasing from this company, but if you do, ensure that they have carried out all the necessary transfers or at the very least have told you that they are not doing this and the costs incurred with be for you to pay.

I cannot recommend this company enough. It was possibly the easiest purchase of a car, let alone one for me to take back to France, I've had.
Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They take the stress out of the whole process, don't look any further, give them a call, you won't regret it. I certainly didn't.

We have just sold our Spanish registered car to LHD Place and the transaction with Colin was smooth and professional from start to finish. The car was collected the next morning and the money was instantly transferred to our bank account. I would highly recommend them.

We sold our car to LHDPlace after driving it up through France. On the way the windscreen got cracked by a stone off the road. Martin was brilliant in organising the repair and enabling our French insurance to cover the cost in full. I have nothing but praise for their efficiency, professionalism and customer service and won't hesitate to recommend them.

Martin & Colin were extremely helpful and patient in ensuring that I was able to collect my new LHD car in time to move to France with the correct paperwork. Martin's dry sense of humour helped!

An excellent team to deal with, we have just moved to Spain and needed a LHD vehicle to get us here from England. With covid in place it was difficult to get out and view cars, fortunately I was able to call the team on a regular basis with questions about a mazda cx-7 they had on the site and was sent an excellent video tour of the car, it was delivered to our home in Lincolnshire and definitely lived upto the description and video. I have had the car for just over a month now and covered several thousand km without any problems. This car is the 1st second hand vehicle I have had in many years and the first I have ever bought via video, it was supposed to be a workhorse to get me to Spain and through the first few months, but I am so impressed I now intend keeping it for a good few years. I would not hesitate recommending them or buying from them again. A big thank you for all your help

We have bought two cars from LHD Place and been consistently impressed by the level of service they offer, especially with helping us re-register our current car in France. They really do care about their customers and I would whole-heartedly recommend them.

Just about the most trustworthy, honest and reliable people ive ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
Bought a beautiful Nissan Qashqai from LHDS having seen the car advertised on their web page. True to word, they welcomed an "independent inspection" of the car, in my case Warrantywise. The result of the inspection was near perfect and as advertised save a few faults, which AGAIN true to their word they will rectify before collection.
The staff at LHDS are extremely polite and welcoming, not the usual dealers you would expect taking your money and ushering you out the door. These guys are the epitome of professionalism, i would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending anyone wanting to purchase a left hand drive to contsct with these before any other dealership.

We returned from France to UK and sold our car to Colin at LHDPlace. The whole transaction and communication was faultless. I thoroughly recommend them.

Martin was really reliable and found us a fabulous VW Tiguan at a great price. He kept us informed throughout But beware you bump into a very very rude man called Colin - never has anyone been so awful: I was a bit put out when we arrived by cab from London to Basingstoke car wasn't ready - he phoned Martin in front of us "woman ranting and raving". Awful person. Otherwise would have got 5 stars. He's losing the company business
