Questionable data collection practices
Received unsolicited email at the start of the week:
"Could it be of interest to you if we could help you uncover more clients, working as we do with Hampshire-based companies and others on lead generation and business development?
We recently generated £310,000 in new opportunities for a small quite niche company in just 12 weeks - happy to share the case study if beneficial.
Can we schedule a call in the next few days to explore whether it's worth discussing further?

I responded same day. Here was my reply.
"Good afternoon Carl,
I'll make you a deal. If you can tell me how you legitimately obtained my email address, I'll happily schedule a half hour meeting with you later today or this week. :)
Best regards,"
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the email thread has now gone cold, with no further responses. I will leave the reader to judge for themselves what this means.
