I only got a refund once I proved that I shipped the sandals back. (I could see that my sandals made it to their location but they only issued me a refund until I proved that I shipped them back). Once I proved the shipment was sent back this is where they suddenly found my return. I saw another comment below with the same issue. I confirm its a practice for them.

I ordered the Amalfi Sandal because I was looking for a elegant, simple, and comfortable slide sandal. I held off on reviewing them until I could wear them long enough to give an honest review. I get many compliments on these sandals and I love the way they look and how they feel. I'm very happy with my purchase. I usually wear a size 39 but read a recommendation to order up a size, so I ordered a size 40. They fit perfectly.

Less than three months after buying the Bronte Sandals and only wearing them around nine times (just to go to work, which means I haven't walked a lot in them), the most bottom layer of the sole started coming off. I sent a message asking about warranty and never got a reply. Don't buy with them.

UPDATE: After this rating on Trustpilot, I heard from Liberte. They did issue me a full refund, after I provided the tracking number. My advice is to pay for the tracking service if you have to return. I was not issued a return until I proved it was returned via my tracking number, even though I included a return slip with the transaction number inside the returned package. SEE BELOW.
This company is fraudulent. I ordered a pair of Capri sandals. They arrived, but the smell was awful, like burned plastic. They were stiff and uncomfortable and clearly very cheaply made. I corresponded with a representative to return them for a refund. I sent them back, registered mail, but never received a refund. Don't waste your money.

They look great but that’s about it. They’re very stiff in the sole and the smell is awful. I’m sure over time the tight new leather will wear in but alongside the super hard and stiff foot bottom it’s a really painful experience to wear them. They’re probably good for a dressed up summer bbq if you don’t have to walk too much and want to look cute.

UPDATE: I did in fact receive a refund of my $150 - but still had to spend over $50 returning the shoes to the US.
ORIGINAL POST: Shoes are heavy, plastic smelling and ill fitting. Seems if you order from Australia you receive a US returns address, but if you order from US you receive an Indonesian returns address. The US address appears to be an empty block of land on Google maps! No phone number to contact. Very disappointing for a $$ product

REGRETS. Every time I fail to do a deeper dive into a company before making a purchase, I regret it. Like others before have stated, these shoes HEAVY but worse, they smell so strongly of chemicals I had to put them in my garage immediately upon opening the package. They've been there for a week and they still smell. There's no way I can wear them. I'm also concerned they haven't been sealed properly and were dyed with aniline dye which can leach through skin and cause systemic toxicity. And yes, technically they take returns but the company is in Indonesia and the cost from the US is prohibitive. Hopefully I will have finally learned my lesson and check all sites for reviews before placing an order from a company I've not done business with before.

This is not a legitimate website. I was duped. I paid $100 for a leather bag and what came smelled like chemicals, obviously not leather either. Tried to process a return, but noticed that the return address was at an apartment. So I looked up the apartment of google earth and it doesn't exist. It's the address of something called Planet Express, a shipping company. I'm so bummed, but let this be a cautionary tale. Please don't order from Liberte Leather.

Terrible quality for the price. You can pretty easily tell that this is bonded or fake leather, despite the company claiming that their products are made with quality leather. The cast metal clasps had unfinished / unfiled edges that were sharp and difficult to put on. The soles are very stiff and have a strange cup to them. The company will not respond to my requests for a return and the negative review I left on the product page of their website was never posted, meaning the reviews you see there are filtered and/or fake. Avoid Liberté Leather.

Shoes arrived finally & we’re not what i expected. Flat, stiff & clog like & did not fit. The hassle became with trying to return them. They do not provide a return label & the address they give to return to does not exist. I’ve contacted LIBERTE but don’t expect a response. I believe I’ve been scammed. Should have known better

Wore these all over sightseeing in Rome.. on cobblestone ..concrete ...brick.. they dont fall off your feet.. they have a nice ridge around them that feels like youre in a closed-in shoe rather than a loose sandal.. they are leather and still breathable.. my feet didn't sweat at all in 100 degree weather. Highly recommend ! Wish they came in more colors!

Not at all what was advertised. Hobo bag listing had all 5 star reviews, described as thick, top quality leather that would last a lifetime. This is no way real leather, super thin, very soft. I’d be lucky if it would last a week of regular use. There is also not a way to leave a review, so I don’t know where their reviews are coming from?

Beautiful sandals as described! They are not meant for long walks as they hurt the bottom of my feet! But they look gorgeous on.

Wanted to return but very prices so I kept them. Once I started wearing them they were comfortable. I would not of bought them if I realized ahead of time it was US funds cost me 30% more, they reroute you to a Canada site but it is charged in US Dollars. I believe they are very pricey especially where they are coming from. I am a Mephisto wearer so they are pricey as well but the quality is much higher. I don't believe these will last, we shall see.

I love these shoes. They can be dressed up or down. I recently wore them to an informal gathering of friends and then to a rock concert. They were comfortable and easy to walk in. I love the neutral color and know I will be able to wear them with any outfit for any occasion. I plan to wear them when I teach because the thick, chunky heel and the leather make for a professional yet comfortable fit. The toe is not too narrow and the fit in the toe feels good as well. I think they can be worn in the summer, fall, and spring. While the price is high, I feel I will get a lot of wear out of these mules.

I have been waiting for over a month to even HEAR BACK from what I'm assuming is a sham company, my fault for ordering from what I thought was a legit company. Interesting to read that everyone else had to send their return to Indonesia.....I have a Torrence California address (albeit it's an apartment! Double red flag!) So I'm out $100 but will shout from the rooftops to never order from Liberte.

The sandals looked great but were poorly made. The strap on the back slid down horrendously and I could tell they would cut you a lot. Also stank of chemicals. Returned them and had to pay 28$ in shipping which is a joke. I’m glad I paid for tracking as when I followed up for my refund they said they didn’t get it and to provide the tracking which I did. Company seems shady. Feels like if I didn’t provide the tracking they would have just refused the refund. Would avoid shopping here

These sandals are so beautiful! Simple design, very comfortable to wear with soft leather. I definitely recommend them to others!

Dodgy AF. Wreaked of chemicals & they are not leather despite their guarantee. The 5 star reviews are either fake or people who don’t know the difference between leather & pvc. The straps are loose and bulge, making them incredibly uncomfortable. Liberte Leather is a scam. P.S. they refund but the buyer must pay postage & handling to return the shoes to Indonesia, which is around $50, time consuming because it’s difficult to send to the address (seems like a market place shop or street side stall) & time consuming. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$ & TIME!!!.
