What is life skills?

What is life skills?. Who started life skills? Life skills are a relatively new thing in society. Did people back in the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th centuries have life skills training? I'm sorry, but I think it is an absolute con and I will tell you why. People have always been different in the way they adapt to society. Human beings do not need someone telling them this is how you need to be, or how you should be. To be successful in life, You learn yourself what is wrong, what is right and sometimes difficult situations and scenarios. This is how we learn and adapt. This is why I think life skills are nonsense and a waste of peoples time and money. Think? Who taught the person teaching you these so called "life skills". If they are so good and well equipped to be so successful in life, why are they trying to teach you then? I'm sorry, it is all a con and it does not add up.
