Complete time wasters

Completely misled and lied to through out after applying for a job advertised by Lift recruitment on Total jobs website. After a successful interview- I started last week.
Just a few days later I was notified by the manager that the company are not in fact taking on any new employees and I was no longer needed.
So why is the job posting still live on Total Jobs? (expires 23 October) , the company still accepting applications and interviewing for the advertised role? and why was I actually employed in the first place if this was the case.
I was also informed the role was a permanent, long term contract and full time position- when it clearly was not either. Lift recruitment also did not even contact me at all to inform me my employment was ending so soon- I’ve had to repeatedly chase them for explanations. I find it impossible to believe the recruiter was unaware of the company’s position at the time of posting the role, or when I applied .
The way I’ve been treated is actually appalling, and against the law - no contract was signed, no notice given and I haven’t been paid fully by this agency for the time I worked either.
Remove the job posting from Total jobs website now as the company actually isn’t seeking new employees at all.
Also given very poor excuses from the recruiter when he eventually replied to my messages and simply couldn’t care less. They also have all my personal details, ID documents and even bank details which I want deleting now employment has ended.
Avoid Lift recruitment. Just a complete waste of time and a huge con.
