I spent over $1,000 on a U-part wig…
I spent over $1,000 on a U-part wig from Lily’s Hair. When I first received it, the hair was extremely soft, silky, and beautiful. My hairstylist even commented on how nice it looked at the time. I bought the 22-in wig.
However, within about three months, the quality completely changed. The hair became very dry, brittle, and difficult to manage. When my hairstylist saw it again, both of us immediately noticed the difference... She was wondering if it was human here or if it was horse hair.
I’ve also seen it in photos, and the hair looks dry and unhealthy, which is not something I’ve ever experienced before with hair at this price point. I take really good care of my extensions and the swig. I don't put heat them and I deep condition them and I don't wash them too much and I put oils in the hair so it's not me. After about one or two washes the hair completely changed.
For a wig costing over $1,000, I expected it to maintain its quality much longer. The dramatic change in such a short period is very disappointing, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Absolutely terrible experience with…
Absolutely terrible experience with this company. I ordered a U-part wig in January and it was never delivered—eventually marked as lost. From that point on, I did everything I could to resolve the situation, repeatedly requesting a refund for an item I never received.
Instead of taking responsibility, they refused to issue a refund and, without my consent, sent a replacement I no longer wanted or needed. By then, I had already made other arrangements, so this was completely pointless and felt like a way to avoid refunding me.
Customer service was extremely unhelpful throughout. Slow responses, no accountability, and no real effort to resolve the issue fairly. It’s incredibly frustrating to have your money tied up like this with no proper resolution.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering from this company. If something goes wrong, don’t expect them to handle it professionally.

Great quality human hair wig love the colour blonde and the roots brought more then one happy with my purchase and didn't have to wait long to receive my item x
Complete Rip Off AVOID !!!
I have been using Lillys hair for many years, and spent thousands of pounds on U Part wigs . I found that the quality of the u part wigs were not as good as they used to be . I decided to pay a little more for a lace front wig , the cap size did not arrive as I ordered it was too big , with it being Christmas I decided to keep it as it would of taken too long to return and re order . I only wore the wig a handful of times and bald patches have appeared at the parting making it unwearable.
I reached out to Lillys to explain with pictures only to be ignored. Only had the wig for 3 weeks, but once they have your money they are not interested at all. If you have a question about a purchase they will respond within a couple of hours. After service is non existent. Just under £900 for nothing! I agree with other reviewers, I feel like the reviews are put on by staff , family and friends. Keep ripping ppl off and karma will catch up with you !

Not everything is as it seems in social Media
I went to Lillys Hair in Paisley this morning for a paid consultation and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed.
Despite messaging on Instagram before booking, paying £30, booking through the website, and then messaging again to confirm, it didn’t seem as though they were aware I was coming for a consultation when I arrived.
For £30, I expected a detailed and informative consultation. I had made it clear at the time of booking that I wasn’t sure what type of wig I was looking for and was reassured I would be helped. However, the person who assisted me didn’t seem knowledgeable enough to guide me on what would work best for me, including colour, length or style. There were no colour swatches or clear matching guidance, and I left feeling even less confident about ordering a wig or U-part from them than I was before I arrived.
First impressions also matter. While the shop looks lovely on social media, in reality the stairs were covered in hair, the space looked messy, there were wires hanging from the ceiling, building works going on upstairs, and the shop itself was freezing.
One of the main reasons I booked was because the website states they can make part wig caps smaller. When I raised concerns about the cap feeling bumpy and not secure, I was simply told “you can’t see it,” which didn’t feel very reassuring.
For a £30 consultation, I genuinely expected much more. It felt rushed and lacked the level of expertise and guidance I was hoping for.
I did end up purchasing a ponytail as the quality seemed really nice, however this is something I could have easily ordered online myself without attending in person.
Overall, the experience didn’t live up to expectations — beware that not everything is as it appears on social media.

LOVE THESE WIGS
I’ve ordered two wigs from this company and absolutely love them. I live in the US and the wigs have both came in a timely manner. They are of great quality! Despite the price I will definitely be ordering again!

Do not order from this company
I placed my order on 9th October. Dispatch time is 1-3 days so i emailed after this twice as i had heard nothing about my order. I received no response from my email (my emails apparently went into their spam email).
On 14th I received an email telling me my wig was out of stock and that it would be with me next week (w/c 20th Oct), which didn't happen.
I received a tracking email on Monday this week, which as of today says that my wig could not be picked up by the courier as it wasn't ready.
I have tried to contact them on their live chat multiple times today and received no response (no surprise).
Please do not waste your money on this company. I bought this wig due to hair loss which is already a stressful time, and they've made it worse.
I've raised this with Paypal to sort as apparently no one bothers to respond via email or live chat.
Do not waste your money! Extremely disappointing experience during a very difficult time
I found Lilly’s Hair on social media after starting chemotherapy for a recent cancer diagnosis. Knowing my hair would soon fall out, I wanted to be prepared and be able to have my confidence. Anyone who has lost their hair knows how emotional and difficult it is and I hoped for kindness and professionalism, but my experience was the complete opposite.
My first appointment went well in terms of advice, but the shop was very untidy and disorganised and looked like a building site. I did however find a wig that I loved and booked to collect my wig at 10am, but when I arrived I was told it was actually booked for 2pm and had to come back later, this was disappointing and inconvenient especially because I knew for a fact it was booked for 10am.
When I finally collected the wig, the front was already thinning and looked bald. Despite being told this was “normal,” I wasn’t happy, especially after paying around £1,000 for it. Lilly’s agreed to fix it but refused to loan me a temporary wig unless I bought another one which I wasn’t prepared to do after already spending so much. When I mentioned that my hair would be falling out soon and I would be left with nothing whilst waiting on mines being fixed, a staff member made a hurtful, inconsiderate comment stating that my hair was fine, showing no empathy at all.
A few weeks later, I was told my wig was ready, only to arrive and wait over an hour because it wasn’t actually prepared. The same staff member again made an insensitive remark about my hair loss saying that it hadn’t fell out, leaving me to take my hat off which was hiding the hair loss and show her it was bald at the top which was incredibly upsetting.
The wig did look much better and I was happy with it until further problems arose. A few weeks later, I washed the the wig gently with Lilly’s products, following all their care instructions — the front completely fell out again, leaving it unwearable and me extremely self conscious as it was so obvious. I was told I’d need to pay £160 for repairs and that this was “normal” after a months wear. It absolutely wasn’t. After several back and forth emails they agreed to take £60 off the price. I reluctantly agreed to pay this as I had no other option, however I informed them that I wouldn’t be paying until I saw the wig had been fixed correctly. I dropped the wig off and was told it would be sent away with no mention of the payment. I emailed a week later and was advised my wig hadn’t been sent away and insisted I paid upfront event though it was their mistake to fix due to poor quality. I refused to pay as I had no faith in Lilly’s and said I would go collect my wig that day and take it elsewhere, only to be told that my wig was not there and was in Cambodia. They had been caught out lying again. They said no work had been carried out but it would take a few weeks for me to get my wig back. They then posted it to me with no work being complete.
This whole experience added unnecessary stress. It’s been an incredibly emotional experience loosing my hair, and I expected compassion, honesty and professionalism. Unfortunately, I received none of that. As a company who deal with people experiencing hair loss, they should be ashamed of themselves, their customer service and quality of products.
Thankfully I was covered under S75 Consumer Credit Act 1974 due to the wig being mis sold and faulty. My bank was able to issue me a full refund for the wig which has allowed me to purchase one that is of a much higher standard, and from a company who cares about their customers.
I am fully expect Lilly’s to respond to this review blaming myself and coming up with excuse after excuses just like they have on any other negative review. Please do not be drawn in by the false advertising on social media as it does not truly represent the company.
First class service
LillysHair was recommended to me by a friend so I made contact via Instagram initially and the email and booked an appointment to try on some wigs. Lilly was lovely and supportive and friendly and took time to fit various wigs, explain how to fit and wear them and how they could be styled to fit my head and face the helped me choose “the one”. I received it a week later, it was slightly delayed due to postal delays due to a storm but there was no waiting 8-12 weeks like some other companies. She always responded timely to my messages and answered any questions I had. Lilly and her team of professionals create stunning wigs of exceptional quality that you literally cannot tell it’s a wig when wearing. So comfy and beautiful quality. Can’t wait to expand my collection of Lilly’s wigs! Thank you. Xx
After having a few bad experiences elsewhere…
After having a few bad experiences with wigs over the years I came across lillyshair and im so glad I did. I'm now on my second unit and again I havent been disappointed the wigs are amazing the quality and workmanship is exceptional. Ive had so many compliments on my hair people can't tell I'm wearing a wig it literally looks like the hairs growing from my scalp and the fit is always great.
Thank you so much lilly you have litterly gave me a new lease of life and abundance of confidence ✨️
I look forward to buying more and will continue to support your business
AVOID at all costs!!
AVOID at all costs!!! I ordered a u part because my hair is finally growing back from chemotherapy, I received it and noticed it was far too light for me in the box, I did not cut the lace, it was not a custom order, I asked politely to return (return policy’s are if you haven’t cut the lace,/used it) met with terrible attitude from the start. Not interested in helping when asking about colour match either but decided to let it go. Now they’re refusing to refund me and only offer store credit, when this only applies for custom orders, this wasn’t a custom order !
Shocking attitude! The quality of the hair is no where near as good as it used to be! Not what I thought I’d have to go through after chemotherapy and finally getting my hair back! Avoid like the plague people!! They’re scammers and not interested in the customer!! Disgusting place, will never ever recommend to anyone! Definitely shop around if you want honest decent places! Where they actually care about customer service! I’m now contacting trading standards, I have all my information together with pictures, descriptions, emails, screenshots of their return policies. I will not give up until I receive my refund.
My hair has always been my crown
My hair has always been my crown, something deeply connected to how I feel about myself. While I don’t suffer from alopecia or any major scalp conditions, my hair has always been very fine and thin. Because of that, I could often see my scalp, which left me feeling insecure and sometimes less confident in my appearance.
When I reached out to Lilly’s Hair, I wasn’t sure what to expect. From the very first consultation, the team made me feel supported and reassured. They patiently answered every single one of my questions — even the ones I thought were silly — and gave me the comfort of knowing I was in good hands. That kindness and professionalism really stood out to me.
Now, I am wearing the most beautiful wig that completely transformed the way I see myself. I’ve been receiving compliments for weeks, and I can’t even describe how much that has boosted my confidence. It feels natural, looks stunning, and above all, it’s so convenient in my daily life.
This experience has shown me that investing in my hair was really investing in myself. I am truly grateful to Lilly’s Hair for helping me feel like the best version of myself again.
Great company
Hi I just received my wig and got to tell you it’s absolutely perfect other than length which I thought I’d have to get cut .im so happy the colour is perfect, I’ve never been so happy with one I will definitely be back for more
Highly recommend you
Many thanks
WOULD NEVER. recommend vile customer service
Shame you can not give zero stars or minus Would never recommend absolutely disgusting customer service and after sales care - only interested in sales - and making social posts - made me super uncomfortable about wanting to post transformations this is such a hard and stressful situation you are dealing with , took the mick about how I suffer with ptsd and anxiety but singing the song “anxiety “ and giggling absolutely vile and degrading behaviour 🤮- I took my Hairdresser/ friend along she was horrified by the sales technique, the customer service and extremely disappointed in the lack of empathy and respect given with such a hard and touchy subject and can’t believe the after sales customer service or shall we say lack of it - I have picture of the hair loss and the chats
I purschased two wigs and the care product box was just under 1900- first messaged them after a week about shedding then a week later very concerned about the amount of shedding to be brushed of with that happens when it’s that blonde - I can pay for service that they do to infill which starts at around 100 I’m sure it is and also at this point so many people are saying how much the colour faded how it looks poor , can’t believe that’s the response ect - even spoke to another wig company and they were horrified I am in process of complaint - so disappointed and let down so wish I had done more research on them as there has been many with bad experiences.
Would recommend to stay away from this company please it is not worth the stress and disappointment
Go elsewhere
I really didn’t like my experience of Lilly’s Hair.
Having lost my hair from alopecia, I asked for their advice to try and get the right wig for a first time wig wearer. Their communication was very blunt and I expected more support. Despite poor communication, I still wanted a wig from them as they were considerably cheaper than other human hair retailers.
Unfortunately when the wig arrived, I felt a huge wave of disappointment and regret. The colour was nothing like the colour on the website which absolutely needs better management. Of course, they have a clause on the website that colours may vary due to imagery and computer screens blahblahblah, but there is nothing similar about the colour that I ordered. I wanted soft honey tones, and instead got a colour-block which was weirdly purple-toned underneath (considering it should have been dark blonde). There was also a very visible weft by the crown, the colour of the thread was a completely different colour to the roots, which would be on full display. I disliked the texture of the hair and the dye-job at the parting, which as you can see in the images is substandard compared to the images they’re advertising. The dye is too far from the wig cap which would therefore give the appearance of hairloss - something a wig aims to conceal.
In my opinion, this item was faulty, you cannot have a weft so visible, and the colour was far too far from as advertised, but they still retained 10% of the value as a ‘restocking fee’ and I paid for return postage.
In addition, those suffering with medical hairloss have a VAT exemption. Sometimes Lilly’s Hair have promotions in the form of discounts, however, they don’t allow people to use both the medical exemption and the promo, which feels very discriminatory to me. The VAT exemption is not money off from the retailer, it is not a double discount. Anyone should be entitled to benefit from a promotion, even if they have medical VAT exemption.
I would not recommend this company.
I’ve been using Lillyshair for a few…
I’ve been using Lillyshair for a few years now after buying from various different companies and I have to say the wigs from lillyshair are absolutely stunning they are completely outstanding, I am very fussy and like to have quality and this hair is everything 😍 I have so many compliments when wearing them, they give me so much confidence, the girls are very helpful and friendly.. I will be with Lillyshair forever 🙂
Inferior wigs. Bad customer care
I have bought Lilly’s wigs in the past and all ok but the last two went almost bald within months. All customer care said was that I was washing them wrongly. I have been wearing wigs from a lot of companies for years and never had this problem. I’m now with a more reputable wig maker. I’ve had it looked at by an expert and the report indicated the top (closer) had an inferior material which allowed hair to transfer the underneath and/or fall out. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
