Called at the garage in Bradley this morning, as I had flattened my car battery while trying to clear snow and ice this morning (thinking on, it might not have been off the drive since Christmas). The receptionist was suggesting that I would need to call my vehicle recovery, but one of the mechanics, who was passing, offered to come and start it for me. I am so grateful! Service like this builds customer loyalty!
Pretty awful customer experience with new with Toyota bz4x that I leased from Lindop in 2024.
I've had various problems with the vehicle since I picked it up, I raised the problems with Lindop several times and initially never had any response.
It was always 'we'll take the details and get back to you' but they never did. I then raised a complaint and my problems were eventually listened to. I took the time to document each one and provide photos and details of how the problems can be replicated.
After several trips to and from the dealership, software updates, also leaving the car with them for 2 weeks they were unable to solve the problems and for most of them, the response was 'that's just how it is'.
I then raised a complaint with Toyota UK and again provided details of the issues. I didn't hear anything for more than 2 months, when I called back I was told the complaint had been closed and there were no problems.
No communication from either the dealership or Toyota, no responses to any of the problems I raised.
The major problem is that the vehicle still intermittently charges on schedule and is a complete pain since I'm using it for business daily.
I've told them that I want to return the vehicle, but they've declined and said that there's nothing wrong with it, when I can clearly demonstrate all of the problems.
No issues at all with Lindops Queensferry, a smooth and uncomplicated purchase with no pressure. The car was immaculate when collecting and drove very well.
This is my second car from Lindops and having had a negative experience from other dealers, Lindops were a joy to deal with once more.
Daley, apparently one of the branches Motability specialists, was incredibly pushy and tried to get my husband to order a car– despite him only requesting a test drive.
Following the test drive he had to ask multiple times for, Daley presumed he would immediately order. My husband declined this offer and said he wanted to talk with me, a perfectly reasonable and normal request, and would be in contact.
We have since found out through his online account that Daley did, in fact, start an order without permission; this means that we now cannot look at ordering anywhere else until that is cancelled down.
Apparently this is a common sneaky sales tactic to try to lock someone into completing an order with that specific dealership.
Due to this experience, we will now be avoiding this branch like the plague– unfortunate as we love the brand in general, but don’t feel comfortable after this dishonest approach.
Dale was really helpful, offering advise and recommendations throughout my experience of purchasing my Toyota Yaris. This is my 3rd used Toyota Yaris that I have purchased from Lindop Queensferry and each time I am been extremely satisfied :-)
Excellent team effort by all at Lindop Queensferry, kept updated about hourly rate & time involved fault finding to repair. Thanks so much for all involved.
Big Thank you to Jerry always gives 110% fab job my car looks like new !!!!! Lovely guy !!
I booked in a test drive with Mike Evans. He confirmed the booking by phone and text. On the day, my partner and I arrived on time to find out that Mike was not in, but that he was either on lunch break or with another client helping with a test drive. 'T' has offered himself to fill in for Mike and show us a hybrid model we booked to test-driving, but he couldn't let me actually test it, since there was an issue with its battery and couldn't be driven, nor other similar models due to same battery issue. Apparently, the only demo car available for a test drive was the one Mike took it for a test drive with some other client, and it happened to take place during our booked visit with him which he did not care to attend or cancel in advance?!
There is no need to tell how disappointing the experience at this Toyota garage was for us.
Considering we've made adjustments to our schedule to match their availability and had the meeting in the middle of a working day, this experience couldn't be worse than it was, it felt very unprofessional and a lost of time. I wouldn't recommend.
After owning another manufacturers car, I can't
emphasise enough much I've missed the whole Lindop Toyota level of service, it is exceptional, Lindop Toyota Queensferry exemplify that service professionalism more than any other company.
So glad I purchased another Toyota!!!
A staggering 9 weeks for Lindop to complete a EGR recall were my Avensis had caught fire. Lindop rejected it was the EGR but blamed poor maintenance of a wire that didn’t connect to the DPF light. I have a week to stump up £1,503+vat upfront or I will be charged £35 per day. As a taxi driver I’ve had to rent a plated vehicle costing £200 per week (£1,800) from day one where I expressed my vehicle is my livelihood.
