Excellent. My husband and I have recently moved to Casamance and made a bet that he would learn Wolof while I would learn Mandinka. But gosh it's so hard to find a Mandinka book! I wasn't even sure the language existed in written form. As a multilingual philologist, I'm too used to learning a language from a grammar book. My husband, a fellow linguist, is my opposite: so far, he's mastered 14 languages, learning them initially by ear - from Finnish to Russian to Wolof. So I was overjoyed to finally find a bit of guidance. Between this book and asking my Mandinka friends, I think I can safely win the bet! :-) Thank you, LinguaShop!
