I brought a 70in Smart TV in January…

I brought a 70in Smart TV in January 2022, the TV stopped working in October 2022. Reported the fault and 3rd party repairer couldn’t fix it. Coming up to 4 weeks with no TV. Purchased through the Good Guys who are just as crap as the TV. My advice is don’t buy a Linsar & purchase from a store that is willing to provide customer support. This TV was for my 88 year old father! Shame on you Linsar & the Good Guys I will never cross your doorstep again!

Avoid Linsar products!

I bought a Linsar 24" TV/DVD Combo 12v TV back in Feb 2021 - The TV failed today, so 15 months of part time use and it's got a black screen for no reason.

Tried to turn it on today and the screen did not come on, but sound was coming through the speakers, the TV screen is clearly dead without any sign of failure...

Good while it worked, poor that it failed so quickly (5 months out of warranty). I will be returning this to the company purchased from (The Goodguys) and using Australian consumer law to get either a replacement or refund - I will see a refund to buy a better quality equivalent as I DO NOT TRUST the quality of this rubbish companies products!

In addition to the above, this TV has poor sound quality, so expect to buy a soundbar to get any half decent sound (this is why the mark 2 version of this television has a built in soundbar).

The DVD player is poor quality and does not have FULL HD output, so watching a DVD the image quality drops significantly.

Pathetic product, I would not recommend this company which build sub par products.

To those who haven been lucky, good for you! It seems many of us haven't been and the majority of reviewers here have been bitten by Linsars poor quality.

I bought the Linsar LS50UHD in Jan

I bought the Linsar LS50UHD in Jan. 2020. I wanted a non-smart version so I could use a RPi3 with it and run the software I wanted. It's been so brilliant I wish I'd bought two! I paid $288 for a 50" 4K TV!

The blacks are super black and the whites are super white. The remote is the most sensible I've seen in a while, too. I use it with an AVR, as we all know how poor sound is from TV speakers (ever since some dunce decided to move them from the front to pointing at the wall behind). 🙄

It's responsive enough for me. I'd buy another Linsar when/if the time comes.

I had a Linsar TV it was great for…

I had a Linsar TV it was great for picture really pin sharp as they say. it stopped working I took it back to the shop, it got sent away then was fixed, except that the USB stick never worked. It always complained that the stick was in the wrong format even after reformtting it with the tv.
Still I didn't use it so it wasn't a problem.
Time passed and the guarantee ran out then one day one of their wonderful software upgrades got corrupted and now I can only turn the TV on, watch 5 mins of whatever is on W channel before it turns itself off again. ...and then on again. 5 minutes later, off and so on.

The 'help desk' quickly identified that the problem was a corrupted software upgrade that had been pushed to the TV and ever since then they have been asking one question at a time days apart for over a month with no resolution in sight.
Their grammar is poor and their emails ambiguous so just to waste more time I have to ask for clarification. I suspect that I could die of old age before anything positive happens.
Don't let this happen to you.

Avoid this company like the plague.

I brought a Linsar 65in tv with a 5 year warranty within 8 months it stopped working, I reported this to them and a week later it was collected, many weeks later it has still not even been assessed let alone repaired, iv asked for a refund but been told they can’t issue a refund until it’s been assessed, (very clever as if they can’t assess it they don’t have to refund it).
Iv been told the warehouse is very busy and they are unable to give me a timeline for an assessment or repair, sorry that’s not my problem, my problem is I brought a 65in tv but I’m having to watch a 22in tv due to their incompetence and poor quality products.
Also ignore their proud statement about being a British company as after looking into it all the electrical items are made in turkey, just the office is a British company, crooks and shysters.

A dreadful TV

Reviewing the Linsar GT32LUXE

If I could give 0 stars for this TV I would. The first TV stopped working completely, it was within 28 days so the retailer swapped it for a new one. The set we have now, while it works - more or less - is a dreadful piece of equipment. Bear with me - the list is long.
1 - It takes aaaages to turn on. And I mean ages. Give yourself 5 mins before you want to watch something.
2 - The volume doesn't work properly - its either just about audible or blaring. Which leads me to ...
3 - The remote seems like it cannot connect with the TV. This occurs probably 7 out of 10 times. It doesn't change channels, it doesn't affect the volume, it won't turn the TV off, or move along in the home screen - you get my drift.
4 - Applications such as Netflix and Disney+ don't work properly. They stutter and glitch - I've noticed this happens more if you pause the TV while you're watching something. Netflix and Crunchyroll frequently shut down completely. During a 2 hour watch of Netflix a couple of nights ago the TV shut Netflix down four times.
5 - About 50% of the time when I turn the TV on the remote just does not do anything at all. See above re:- remote issues. You end up pressing repeatedly on the "off" button to try get rid of it all and start again. You will be at least one or two lonnnnng minutes before the TV eventually goes off.
6 - You cannot channel hop. Pressing up or down on the channel button will lead you to some random channel up in the 500s. Press "back" and it will take you somewhere else. BEYOND FRUSTRATING.
All in all an expensive waste of money. I would not choose Linsar again.

LINSAR bought by nasty TEMPO

My 65 inch TV stopped responding to any button inputs. It is still within the guarantee but because a company called Tempo has bought the Linsar name they will not honour my guarantee even though I still have the receipt and purchase information. Tempo is horrible company that you don't want to deal with.

This TV is an amazing product

This TV is an amazing product. A very reasonable price, great picture, good quality sound for the price. Certainly better that the Samsung and other 24inch TV’s. I do like a review and reading many of them who give one star would appear to be whinging and whining individuals. Anything can go wrong. For goodness sake! Value for money. Buy one, brilliant value for money. !!!!!

I purchased a Linsar TV in August 2018…

I purchased a Linsar TV in August 2018 via Amazon. It was temperamental and often used to prevent me going in to programmes and I had to sign a contract (on the screen) from Turkey on numerous occasions. This tv was covered by a 5 year warranty which I completed on line. Linsar took the tv away and said they could not repair the motherboard and controller and other things were wrong with it. Amazon and Linsar are arguing that the other should pay. I will have to go to the Small Claims Court to recoup my £250. Very poor and disappointing service - apart from Linsar picking up the tv which happened surpringly promptly.

Excellent Performance for a Small TV. Recently purchased this small…

Recently purchased this small inexpensive TV for the kitchen from John Lewis. Unlike some on here I had read the spec and knew it wasn’t a Smart TV and I know that no small TVs are rated highly by Which but I don’t want a 50” in the kitchen. This little TV was therefore a complete surprise - excellent picture and the built in ‘sound bar’ produces amazing sound quality. All very easy to set up too. I’m impressed. Hence the 5 stars.

Linsar kettle Not impressed

I bought a cream coloured Linsar kettle a few months ago. The automatic cut off worked sporadically. So sometimes it switches off automatically, and other times I have to switch it off manually. Now this week it has started leaking. I find this unacceptable after only a few months of use. I also notice that there is a bit of rust starting to show around the handle. I guess this teaches me a lesson for buying cheap. You get what you pay for, and this was just a waste of money. Very disappointed!

I cannot believe all the bad reviews…

I cannot believe all the bad reviews here. I've owned a Linsar for 18 months now and it's fabulous. No trouble whatsoever. It's usually daily and I bought it because it was so darn cheap! Don't be put off by the negative reviews because Linsar is a good make of TV. In my opinion and using my own experience.
