Great service when rectifying an issue
Ordered a POCO Plus rucksack from Little Trekkers. They unfortunately sent the wrong item (the POCO) - customer service was great to rectify this - they sent a replacement before arranging a courier collection for the incorrect item, with the replacement arriving the next day. There was then some confusion as they accidentally refunded me for the item and I had to pay again, but after a little to-and-fro they were happy to wait for the refund to appear on my credit card before taking the second payment. Contacting them is a little slow at the moment as COVID means they are e-mail only, but this is entirely understandable. Overall, really pleased with the service I received, albeit after having received the wrong item (they do look very similar, in fairness!).
happy first time customer.
First time ordering from this company. Ordered a raincoat for my son and expected to have to wait a while for delivery as I know things are taking longer during the lockdown, but it arrived within a couple of days. Lovely item and good quality. I will shop with them again.
Complete dissatisfaction by LittleTreckers services
I made an order from LittleTreckers at the end of november 2018. A couple of weeks later when i enquired about the delay they sent me proof of delivery from their courrier service apparently to my nextdoor neighbour. My neighbour never took the parcel in or signed for it(the signature name offered as proof of delivery was fabricated by the courrier).
When I informed LittleTrecker of these facts they only replied they would make enquires with their courrier service and excused them on the basis of the hectic Christmas period. Remember my order was placed long before the Christmas period. No alternative was offer to me except to wait.
After Christmas I wrote to them again and once more the only option they offer to me was to wait.
I have just written to LittleTreckers demanding a prompt refund or I will take legal action against them.
Read the smallprint first
I wanted to buy a macpac child carrier and googled for online stores. I got a link leading to the Littletrekkers online store. I put the carrier into the shopping basked and payed. Within the whole buying process, shipping costs were always displayed with "0". Also there were not general terms to accept with the process.
One day later someone from the store contacted me and asked for additional shipping charges, saying that they only offer free shipping to UK mainland addresses and that the 0 shipping costs within the buying process are just a wrong technical implementation having to do with their payment gateway. They also referred to their shipping policy and general terms, which you find somewhere at the bottom of the website. They also said they inform about the free shipping on banners all over their website. I checked all that out after I received the mail - it is all true - but while I was buying the product I was not aware of that - I only saw the 0 shipping costs on my invoice.
Long story short - they refused to deliver and refunded the money.
In my opinion this is not acceptable. A company that runs an online store these days should be able to have shipping costs displayed properly within the buying process and not on some banners that no one looks at. Moreover they should make their general terms clearly visible within the whole process.
So if you buy anything there - check out the small-print - because what you see when you check out is not what they might want to charge you for later on.
Great stuff. Lovely people.
Having had a terrible time with another retailer I have to say Little Trekkers are brilliant. I ordered some great items (and some bargains) which were despatched very quickly. When there was a slight mix up over the name on the parcel, they were very easy to deal with and helpful. Love the items and would shop with them again.
