Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the service, finding that doctors often refused to provide necessary prescriptions or referred them to urgent care, even for conditions that seemed treatable online. Reviewers also frequently reported issues with the staff, describing them as rude, incompetent, and uncommunicative. The website and contact methods were also a source of frustration, with customers experiencing difficulties reaching support and encountering technical problems. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with customer service, highlighting helpful and pleasant representatives who assisted them with their concerns. A few other people also felt that the doctors were occasionally helpful and provided appropriate prescriptions.

Waste of $55

Waste of $55. Sick 3 year old with green congestion, cough, low fever off and on and ear pain. Her pediatrician was fully booked so we decided to do telehealth. Refused to give an antibiotic because “95% of the time it’s viral. Just give her muncinex”. Never asked to see her on the screen or anything. Literally read my short description and made his decision.
Ended up at a doctors office later that day anyway. Recommended a chest X-ray due to bad cough. Diagnosed her with possible pneumonia and we left with prescriptions for 2 antibiotics, an inhaler, a steroid and a nebulizer. Won’t be using livehealth online again!

Less than a zero

Less than a zero, I requested a female dr and she came on for 2 seconds then dropped. An a male dr who was hostile about my request for medication, asked for "proof" so show I have had it in the past. The most demeaning experience to have a male dr tell me about my female problem. I asked for a refund and they refused. I will dispute with my credit card company. Dont' use this misogynistic, abusive company.

Anthem pushes to this app and then…

Anthem pushes to this app and then charges you to see a provider who provides no service, just gets paid to tell you that they can't do anything. I used them for a very simple need, (very mild infection, which i have had identical symptoms a few times in the past 10 years) no high risk, easy to diagnose and treat. Nope, the NP just gave me inaccurate information and said to go be seen in person. Thanks for charging me for nothing.

Promised a prescription same day, that was a lie…

This was my first time using them through my Anthem insurance. I thought that this would save me from having to miss work (Thursday). I have a yeast infection and the doctor reached out immediately asked me some questions and prescribed my medicine. Unfortunately I had to call multiple times, change my pickup location twice, and be in discomfort for a whole day after being promised that I would receive my medicine the same day. The doctor was great, Live Health/customer service unnecessarily wait time. I went through Amazon 7pm that not. Wait time was longer (4hours) but received a confirmation that my prescription was ready for pickup at my location. Only thing is Amazon is a legit company and I’m sure my prescription will be there.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. Had a horrific experience with LiveHealth. Doctor was fine and prescribed me antibiotics. The order never came to the pharmacy. I called support 6 times throughout the day, they kept promising they would call the pharmacy and never did. Never updated me. I had to keep calling otherwise nothing would happen. Would recommend using any other virtual care site.

Every visit cancelled by provider

LiveHealth Online is one of our employee health insurance benefits. We have tried to make an appointment twice, and both times they were cancelled by the provider. My husband reached out to them for a vaccine reaction. His appointment was cancelled by the provider without consultation or reason. Just two days ago, I had a severe reaction to a drug infusion treating osteoporosis, when urgent care was closed. I tried to make a LiveHealth Online appointment, and got a message that 1 was first in the queue and it would start shortly. It was cancelled five minutes later. I restarted the process. This time it said there was an average 16 minute wait. at about 17 minutes, the appointment was again cancelled. We can only think that this company must get paid something when people ask for an appointment, even if the provider cancels. Feels like a scam--and we're paying for it through our employment.

Second time contacting them for help…

Second time contacting them for help dealing with simple cold and flu symptoms. Should have known better than to try a second time. Basically charged $59. Offered no symptoms relief and told to return in a couple of days if problems persist. Then they will charge more money and tell me to go to an in person provider. Scam. Don't use this service because they don't provide care or symptom management.

A Waste of Time

First time contacting a therapist in 2021 via LiveHealth, everything went smoothly. The second time in 2023 the therapist-Williams, never showed for the visit but wrote a diagnosis and summary. I notified Anthem the visit never took place. The third time, 2026, the therapist-Rader, didn't show. I called the customer service number to notify someone I was in the session, but the therapist wasn't, only be told by the rep that the therapist sometimes joins the appointments 15 to 30 minutes late, suggesting I should stay in the meeting because it's better for the therapist to cancel instead of me. The rep ended up taking a claim so that I can get clarity as to why the therapist never showed. Smh.

Horrible Patient Experience

My wife waited on hold for 45 minutes. We called tech support and they recommended that we hang up. They don’t have a way of routing her call to a different provider that can provide care. Save your money and don’t use this service.

No bedside manner and no care

My teen and I met with Burt Stanga because she had a 101-103° fever for about a week. She was miserable. The doc claimed he couldn't diagnose over telehealth? What? Isn't that the point of this platform? Then I receive the visit notes and what do you know? He DIAGNOSED my child with several things including an acute upper respiratory infection. He refused to prescribe an antibiotic and said we needed to go to an urgent care! Wait, isn't this urgent care? So, I'm supposed to make my miserably sick child get dressed, sit in a waiting room of sick people and expose myself to sick people so I can pay ANOTHER co-pay and have a "real" doctor diagnose the same thing to get an antibiotic?!!! This particular doctor has NO bedside manner and has no business working with kids. He was condescending and rude. I'll be using a different platform next time. Save your time and money if you want actual medical care!

I accidentally clicked "cancel" in the confirmation text message. I figured opps and intended to just reschedule but then I saw I got charged $40.00 as a cancellation fee when I didn't even see the provider. Total rip off and scam. I will never use this service again and plan to contest the charge with my credit card company.

100% Waste of Time and Money

100% Waste of Time and Money. Website claims to be able to diagnose and treat flu-like symptoms and bronchitus but provider states that they cannot provide an adequate exam and to go to an urgent care. I should have done this from the start and saved $55. Please do not use this service if you want care.
